Once again concerning the tick, we actually don't know this characterin france, the vilains in the trailer was suposed to be evil rabbit dudes. Concerning the imaishi style we love it, we also love the Takeshi Koike style, and the style of all the guys who work in this black shade/energic animation way.Here it was a very good and not to complicate way to do as gorgeous as possible pictures by using flash.By the way the last issue of Zblucops is now out (in France)

It's not an animated series. It's a comic series and one of my few drawbacks in life is my inability to read or speak fluent french, so yeah, I reckon english would be fine for the parts of the world that speak english and not french as their main language.

@vanripper17 : Because unlike the US and UK, we had animes on TV since the late seventies. Japanese pop-culture is much more infused in the 80's french kids than anywhere outside Japan. That includes Dragon Ball and Saint Seya. Of course since then, protectionism have won over, and TV networks went back to crappy cartoons, but still, you can see the unique grasp of anime-style that era has left in the art of french animators.

@vanripper17 : Yeah, lousy and greedy french production studios made tons of money reselling (and often rebranding) translated (and censored) versions of animes to less wealthy countries. Same "translated over" dubbing process have been used in Spain, Italy and Morocco (since it was easier for them to translate french instead of japanese). That scam lasted until the early 90's, when japanese studios finally started to export their programs, instead of letting deep-pocketted middlemen get rich.

@makake11 also a lot of German dubs were used mainly because some series were Euro-Japanese coproductions. In Europe some openings were sung in Italian, then dubbed to German, French, Spanish etc (broadcast by Tele 5 in Germany, Telecinco in Spain etc).

It had more to do with the fact that european tv channels at that time were very collaborative regarding good animated shows. Some dus were indeed good even though they were not from the original Japanese. But a lot of dubs were also horrible.

The lyrics are done in a mischievious way, to parody the naively propagandous anime songs recorded in the eighties by a crappy kid singer named Bernard Minet (he did the french opening for Saint Seiya, Ranma, Kimengumi, Sailor Moon and Bioman). His lyrics are always about Good versus Evil, courage, sacrifice, etc. I'll add a translation of the lyrics of Turbo Justice below.
