I played keys in the Beat from 2005 to early 2008.... These are some of the most talented musicians you'll ever meet.. Dave is absolutely incredible live and the bass player has insane perfect pitch. As a game, I'd call out a note and he'd sing it - and I'd pluck it out on my keyboard and he'd be dead on.. Truly nice guys, like family to me - I'm forever thankful for the experiences!!! Ahh, the 80s. When learning the Sax could really pay off. Saddens me that there just aren't as many popular bands with Saxophones as there were in the 70s & 80s..

And that's why they aren't billed at The Beat. Dave tours America with these guys as The English Beat.. and Ranking Roger tours England and Europe with his band as The Beat. I think Andy still plays with The Beat, but I could b wrong :X
