  • Thank for posting this clip. I remember when i first heard it, it was 1987 on the radio.

It reminds me of my old flame.

  • Wish I could've seen them in their hayday. Back when it was just you and your music on stage. No autotune, no overzealous dance routines, no hiding yourself behind a lightshow. Unfortunately, I'm a few decades late (age 17.)

I feel a little out of place...

  • Yes! Yes! your right Kloudzjia, the only fitting word to describe the Moodies is CLASS! They have never displayed anything other than class in their long career. God bless The Moody Blues!

  • @thejoker8699 Amen to that, Moodys were cemented in my college years and memories, and just have continued on to this day, as i am typing this message. Saw them first time in 1972 at old Chicago Stadium, drove 300 miles from Carbondale on a tuesday night to see show, worth every mile of trip.

  • I am 57 yrs old and have been a fan from the beginning. I have seen them 22 times in concert a couple of times from the front row! My daughter grew up listening to them and we saw them together in Milwaukee when she was 30.

  • i saw then in the mid 70's witha fifty peice orchestra was an awesome concert,no screaming or talking during the entire gig,....

  • I agree with joker8699! Spent my teenage years going to as many concert they had in Honolulu from 67 thru 75.(then we moved) The H.I.C. all u had to do was open the doors what an aroma! How awesome to be alive during that time.Best music ever!

  • America loves this song !!!

  • @kloudzjia @kloudzjia Same birthday as (Sir) Cliff Richard (1940) - and my Dad (1939) ;-)

  • @browniebodrum nice to know!Looks like lots of nice people are born in Oct. the 14th, right?;-))all the best...peace.

  • Apart from the brilliance of the song and the performance, the thing I really like about this is to see Graeme Edge singing along and clearly enjoying it all.

  • I saw them twice at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, absolutely great live and studio band. Hayward has such an amazing voice.

  • Anyone know something about the world orchestra? Is this a London orchestra or are the members put together just for shows like this?

  • there is a younger girl they just hired at work, she's 20 years old and likes classic rock, mostly 80's music. i think thats pretty cool. she said she never heard of the moody blues i told her to check out the moody blues. great, truely timeless music. i truly hope she gives them a listen. this is great music that all people should explore, young and old. this music is timeless.

  • great tune, contagious, can t sit still.Great band...

  • great tune, contagious, can t sit still.Great band...

  • the moodies put out some good tunes, thoughts and all. thanks lads

  • Does she think about me...once upon a time

  • 11 people have no dreams at all.

  • I saw these guys last night in Halifax, Nova Scotia and they were absolutely amazing!

  • @cloudjia Thank you for your response. Did you know that they use local orchestras when they perform? I have seen them so many times, but I will never get tired of hearing them.

  • @muse1lvr I saw them in Billings, Montana, USA, when I was in high school and they played with the Billings Orchestra. It's still one of the best shows I've seen.

  • readyeddy101, you are a star!!!! This is a truly top rate video. " Your Wildest Dreams" is extra special to me. Justin has written some gems, but this is" The icing on the cake......"!!!!!! My " Wildest Dream", is censored...therefore, I cannot disclose it. It's raunchy and provocative and very sexy just like me!!!!! The wine is going to my head, please excuse me. ! "Out There Somewhere" also means the world to me. Godbless, love you all. XXxxXX.,P.S. Especially Monsieur Hayward.

  • This is one of those songs that makes you think about that one certain person from so long ago, and wonder "what if?"

  • Aren't you supposed to write a song like this in your late fifties. AWESOME. And in 17 days I get to see them live :):):):):)

  • Marshall is an awesome talent, glad the blues have the heart and respect for Edge to include him in the current configuration.

  • For Deb. I Love You,,,, even in my Dreams. XO HEMI JOE

  • They all looked like they were having a great time! Oh how I wish I was at this concert!!!

  • seriously though... why are there two drummers in this band? its not exactly heavy in the rhythm section. i mean slipknot only has 1 drummer. in fact, every band i know has 1 drummer.

  • I believe this is from their tour of the "Concert at Red Rocks" which I saw live when they came here to Phoenix on the tour. One of my all time favorite groups from that era.

  • I'M 56 and have been listening to the moody blues since 1973. they have always been number 1 in my heart. i've seen them 5 times and consider 2001 at the Paul Mason Winerie my all time favorite of all time and i've seen many others. to look around and see 13 year olds on my left and 70 year olds on my right singing all the words to all thier songs, you know you have a band that can touch generations. that my friends is something special

  • The best music ever!!!

I have but one reguret , that I never got to hear them in person.

  • 14th november....perth western australia. cant wait to see these brillant musicians

    D

  • @thejoker8699 me too! :o)

  • @thejoker8699 You sure were...spoiled rotten musically!

  • @thejoker8699 I'm 28 years old and I agree...

  • I have only taken a liking to "Knights in White satin" and "For my lady".....

  • @thejoker8699 I envy you and your generation specifically for that reason

  • @thejoker8699 Me, too. I am 49 and I love the music of our generation.

  • @thejoker8699

    me too dude

    me too

not that i ever really grew up

    :D

  • @thejoker8699 im 18 , and agree with you . i wish i coulda grown up then. i go crazy trying to remember all these old bands from 1960 - 1980. i love them all so much. only real good music i can think of.

  • AT 2 MINS 46 SECS....LOVE IT!

  • 10 dislikes,how could anyone dislike this?

  • @cloudjia Well, I do what I love and still managed to lose some. Heart Meds will do that to you. Apparently John is healthy.

  • @cloudjia And he looks like he hasn't lost a single hair on his head!!! Man, these guys have aged well.

  • awesome sound...

  • I CAN LISTEN TO THESE GUYS ALL DAY! THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!!! :)

  • So great to see Mike Pinder back again.

  • never fails to give me a shiver and and big smile

  • One of the most beautiful rock songs of all time.

  • AMA...if you ever feel like talking to me, you know I'll listen. Besides, I need to tell you about the dream I had about you.!

  • my fav is i know your out there somewhere

  • Not bad for a bunch of old Farts ! :-) Class act !

  • Heard them first time when I was in High school...They were fantastic...Hear them today 40+years after and they are still one of the greatest all time Rock n Roll Bands ...This number has special meaning in my life today...I am helping my sister cope with Breast cancer and their music helps me cope with that and other events I am going through...The words just blow me away...Don't know which song is better, this one or "Question" Love them both...Hope I can see them in concert at Mayo Center.

  • ITS really a waste showing the audiance in these concert videos do you know them

  • I still love and think of this song wondering about all those past loves, If they are still wondering about me after so long.

  • Thank you for the quality video and sound!

  • i love this video!!! :D great song!!!!

  • I'd give my lovtit to see these guys in concert!

  • I scored the DVD in Mexico for $5! It's BRILLIANT.

  • @2:47 and 3:33 two cool things happen-not to mention this song is very good live. Just thought I'd mention that, since everyone seems to be commenting on who's suing who.

  • If you live in America don't miss their 2011 tour dates, best $ you will ever spend.

  • I love you guys! In fact, Mr. Hayward, my son is named after YOU! I looked on the back of a Moody Blues album and just loved the name! Apparently many people did as Justin was listed as the 3rd most popular name when I gave birth! The weird thing is when I was bringing my infant home (premature in hospital for 3 months) I heard "Forever Autumn" so now it's "our song". Thxs for all the good times (even if he did fall asleep at the first concert I took him to)~~~~

  • Monumental! An incredible performance by Justin Hayward and the Moodies! Loved it!

  • Coast to Coast am song :)

  • ..nice 80's song

  • Great video & the audio is incredible.

  • LOVE

  • Ah, amore. Ask yourself why nobody covers them. Why try to outdue the original. Please let me know you music fans who hear an original Moody's done better in your opinion. Opinion is what it is. Like feelings, unique to that individual . the Moodys are truth- a universal absolute truth!

  • I saw the Moody Blues in Phoenix Az 2005 it was an excellent show!!

  • I saw the Moody Blues in Phoenix Az 2005 it was excellent!!! My husband died a few months later so it was good we went to that. I still have very fond memories of this concert!!!

  • 9 dislikes ??????????? taste in arse comes to mind here...

  • @bigvoicebigsong Justin Beiber lovers perhaps...... just no accounting for taste. These guys have been performing since the early 70's and they still sound great live in the 2000's.

  • @bigvoicebigsong sometimes people don't like band's that rip other people off, The moody blues are international art thieves you know

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 fuck off spamer

  • @bigvoicebigsong I know this song by heart, don't tell me to fuck off, I'm not a spammer otherwise I'd be spamming millions of videos. I comment once in a while when I hear "The Moody ripoff artists"

3 works of art that were taken off of my dad's website back in 2008 have been in there stage shows for the last 3 years

The Moody Blues lost a long time fan, I waited 20 years to see them play live and then saw my dad's artwork in there stage show!

FBI, lawyers, and the media have been contacted

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 away and call someone that gives a fuck !! love the song ,love the group dont bleet to other comments on here dont mean shit make your comment and move on ok.. and not as a reply to anyone else .. or you come accrosss as a you tube stalker or spammer.

  • @bigvoicebigsong how about this for a comment,

I was one of the people who rated this video down because the moody blues ripped off my dad, he was gonna use the art for his stage show. I got a question from "Supersweetguy" "WTF? Do you have any substantial proof of that?" and happened to see your offensive comment. below.

So you asked for it by then reply to my peaceful comment with " fuck off spamer"

even though the fact is they ripped him off

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 A DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR DAD SO FUCK OFF YA STALKING SPAMMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! END OF NOW DO ONE !!

  • @bigvoicebigsong maybe you'd think differently you were the one being ripped off

    Peace!

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 If you have a freaking problem w/ Moody Blues, keep away from here. We don't want to hear your sob story. If your dad really was ripped off, I'm sorry. You don't have proof to show us number one, and number two, if the really are guilty, go show it in court and stop complaining. It's a great song, and the fact that you disliked the video because of some artwork really shows your ignorance.

    Peace!

  • @syzygy10111 For one, I do have proof they did it. for two, nobody wants to help an individual artist against a band like "the moody blues". so all I can do is tell individuals. It's not a sob story either it's the truth.

they don't allow links to webpages to be posted on here so do a google search on "Tiedyeman’s Fractals"

If you were in my position what would you do? keep singing along to a band you've loved for years and forget they ripped off an artist/musician that happens to be your dad?

  • @syzygy10111 That's a cruel thing to say to someone who knows almost every song by the moody blues.

I was a huge fan since age 3, After hearing them for 20 years I had to go see them live, it's too bad I found out they ripped off my dad, otherwise I'd be giving this video a thumbs up. Yes, it's a good song.

Too bad the words don't reflect there actions, how, loving & caring of them, they sure don't know right from wrong

Do yourself a favor and weigh the evidence before you call me ignorant.

  • A Fractal is like DNA you cannot reproduce something with over a million variables.

Please in the future don't call me a spammer, I'm just an artist like my dad, I was there when he made that artwork so that's how I know.

  • I've had the pleasure of seeing these fine fellows twice :-xx Who can't fit this in their memory bank of memories? Question....well all their stuff is good !

  • Wish I was there

  • The Moody Blues are rip off artists and are in violation of US and international copyright laws, they ripped off Tiedyeman's fractals and used them in there stage show

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 WTF? Do you have any substantial proof of that?

  • @Supersweetguy yes, just google "tiedyeman's fractals" and click the first link

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 I know you're mad @ them, but I have good news, the Moodies aren't even the ones who created the sideshows, it's their road manager or something. I'm sorry your dad was ripped off!

  • @DieselProductions11 The Moody Blues are suppose to be responsible for the content of the show, just as I am responsible for the content of my YouTube channel.

FBI and over a dozen different lawyers won't due there jobs, they won't go after copyright violations for just anyone, you gotta be rich & famous before that little FBI Warning actually protects you. Never mind that you registered it with the US copyright department, it's meaningless if no one enforces the law

    peace out

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 You're right, they probably should have reviewed the material.

  • @DieselProductions11 Check this out, the Moody Blues have been in trouble for not giving two different keyboardists credit on a number of different albums, the two guys sued and won, so they were forced to give them credit and the guys got a huge chunk of cash. I guess it just goes to show the reason why there's no actual new Moody Blues songs, just old stuff.

I got to go see Rush last year, amazing show, everything originally designed for rush, no ripoffs. great new tunes, along with old ones.

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 Patrick Moraz and Mike Pinder, right?

  • @DieselProductions11 yeah, those would be the two

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 Yes, I heard about that. Mike Pinder was kind of kicked out of the band w/o his knowledge. Patrick wrote the intros to a few songs and there was some legal trouble over that.

  • @DieselProductions11 They seam to be a little too Moody when it comes to giving credit.

I saw Alan Parsons open up for Yes in 1998, then Yes got on stage and blew them away and played for like 3 or 4 hours.

If you like classic rock check out some tunes from The Elektrik Gypsies

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 I will!

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 I saw a DVD of the Moodies in 2005 and they just projected the album covers on the screen back then. They probably should have stuck with that! By the way, the Electrik Gypsies were great, I'm sorry they got ripped off.

  • @DieselProductions11 thanks, Tiedyeman just joined ASCAP only 5 songs left to be finished on the album before it's published.

  • @SPACEDMADNESS42 That's great!

  • @DieselProductions11 not only did they rip off an artist, they ripped off a musician and a whole band, that fractal artwork was for the band "The Elektrik Gypsies"

  • @DieselProductions11 I'm very sorry they were ripped off! But I'm telling you that the moodies stage people are the ones that put it together, not the moodies. Again, sorry that happened :(

  • my teacher mistaked it for justin lodge and i was thinkin how awesome that wud be if that much talent was in 1 man

  • and now I found you...love this song...nostalgic

  • MSH - Wildest Dreams forever. Drummers are awesome!

  • why are there 2 drummers?

  • Just love the passing of the drumsticks at 2:47.

  • @3fitzgrld agree,...that was pretty cool, thanks for the heads up

  • Perhaps my favorite Moody Blues song :) Love the bass line.

  • @Mashfan6507 Love the bass player too!!

  • this song, this band's catalog of music was the soundtrack for an extremely beautiful love story i lived in the early 70's.....and althouh thestar of that dream has passed away, the memories remain...

  • this song, this band's catalog of music was the soundtrack for an extremely beautiful love story i lived in the early 70's.....

  • Justin's a little shaky at the bottom, at 4:18. Still a great song though, one of my faves by the Moodies.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN. OCT 14

  • I just love the moody blues great great great thanks for posting great

  • that is asoman you guys's

  • Beautiful music.

  • Guys, this is LIVE! How many 40 year old bands have you heard live that still sound as good as they do? I would pay big bucks to see them live again. Last saw them in 2005, was AWESOME!

  • @muse1lvr Funny, I was just going to post the same comment! Seriously, this is one of a very few that's still together and sound exactly the same, if not better, than before!

  • MAYBE NOW AFTER THIS LAST YR MAYBE I'LL FIND THE RIGHT GIRL, IN MY WILDEST DREAMS I THOUGHT I HAD ALREADY BUT NOT SO...SO MUST KEEP ON HUNTING...

  • @rexrockandroll Saw you more than 3 months ago. I don't believe you need to hunt...do you? Love you so much Pete!

  • over 40 years and they're still goin :) i love the moody blues

  • Back in 73 went on vacation with a high school buddy and his folks were Dead Heads and MB fans and they turned me on to some of the best music then and now!! Still love em!!

  • Is Justin Hayward Sick In This Video??????

  • @MoodyBluesFan100 If anybody looks sick it's Ray Thomas, the tambourine player. Cripes, he looks like he needs a crutch to keep him up.

  • @19111ellyc Well, Ray did have gout, so he may very well have need a crutch.

  • @19111ellyc Ray does have gout so he may very well have needed a crutch.

  • @DieselProductions11 Did not know that. Was just making a comparison between his condition and Justin's. BUT, on a lighter note, they all still got GREAT hair!

  • What Year Was This Concert?

  • 1999 or 2000

  • OUCH..... my broken heart.... bleeding again....

  • man does time fly....i loved them in high school.....in the 70's! awesome band still :0

  • What a shame that music has gone downhill so much. This is a first-class band.

  • This band probably has as much (if not more) class than any band in existence now or ever. I have been listening to their music since highschool...which was over 40 years ago!

  • Favourites from the 80s

  • Reminds me of the summer of my first true love......

  • this is a song you can never get sick of...

  • amazing band... love these guys!!!

  • Loved the flip guy and how the band was amused. I hope they are still having fun performing after all these years. I know I am still enjoying them.

  • They sound as good as when I first heard them in '92 when I was 12yrs. a great great band.

  • @MissyD97 Here's something to think about.....They sound as good as when I first heard them.........in 1970!

  • loved 3:37...I feel like doin the same thing......

  • A brilliant band!

  • MAYBE IN MY WILDEST DREAMS I WILL FINALLY FIND THE DREAM WOMAN I'VE BEEN DYING FOR ....I THOUGHT I MIGHT HAVE FOUND HER A FEW TIMES IN THE PAST, BUT IT DIDNT WORK LIKE THAT..SO THERE HAS TO BE HOPE .....IT COULD HAVE BEEN ONE OFA FEW , BUT NO LUCK ...SO TIME TO MOVE ON AND REALLY FIND AND CONQUER HER...PETE

  • Women bands just don't have what it takes to come close to the magic of men's bands.
