I love pai...good to ...but I had 2 motobike accident in pai,,,now I have to stay here for rest...live in the mountain guest house do nothing also FUN!!

If you think its too much tourism, my advice is to go in the low season. Its great and cheaper too :) Not many tourists and its easy to find a place to stay! Have a nice trip!

I'm sat in Villa de Pai in Pai, Thailand right now and it is absolutly awesome. It is in the quietest season but at the moment this could be the best place on earth - love it!!

every place that i look up in thailand on youtube or the net has people saying that its been ruined by tourism, is there anywhere left thats a good place to go? im going this june until august

hey, i've lived in thailand for a while, 16, female, farang..so i could probably help you there.

theres a place up north called Hat Krueung which is amazing, Koh Si is an amazing island to check out, Koh Chang only has the bad tourists in the season, right outside of korat is amazing, to avoid the tourism-ruined places, avoid these places i suppose: krungthep, phuket, chiang mai, and other than that, choek dee!

Have to agree with some of the comments here. Tourism has really spoilt the place. Just another Pattaya in the hills now. A real shame. Try Nan....much nicer.

Pai in 2002 was a very different place to Pai in 2008

I had the time of my life in that little town...we rented dirt bikes and explored the mountains, jungle, waterfalls...enjoyed the live music at Bebop, the mini truck bar, the reggae club,what an incredible experience ill never forget.

Pai is a ok little town, too many tourists with bloody cameras!
