dosbox. mount your cd drive to 'd' etc. and usnf installs and plays like a dream

What version of dosbox? If I try this, it tells me ATF can only be installed from the CD-ROM drive.

you have to do some changes in youre bios and stuff and it works

OMG I so many good memories!! I grew up on this game also, but unfortunetly, it won't run on XP. I have the same issues as others on this thread. The music is the part that brings back the most memories!!!! CLASSIC!!!!

Indeed. I'd love to get the soundtrack to ATF Gold. I haven't played it in 12 years and still remember the basic melody of one of the menu songs that I really liked. BTW, you might be able to run it on XP if you change the compatibility to Windows 95 or 97 (right click and go to "properties" to find the "compatibility" tab.)

@HerrSchenkel welllll, the goood news, ist that I actually recorded some of that music. Not all, but some in a lousy quality due to lack of knowledge with audacity tool. anyways, I will upload it some time around

I loved this game! It was great in it's time! I have two versions of it ATF(for Dos) and ATF Gold(For Win). ATF Gold works fine a couple of minutes under Win XP but then always suddenly drops me back to Windows with error. Dos version(ATF) doesn't run at all. Neither in WinXP, nor in DosBOX 0.72(all i get is black screen on which i see is:

I have this game but I can't get it to install. the program is in dos and it wants me to prove I have the CD in the drive. I haven't tried in a while so I can't tell you exactly what it says.

I used to play this game so much as a kid, so many good memories! Definitely a MUST have simulator. Its historical lol. I downloaded it in a dos games collection and then got DOS box and it runs fine. I also downloaded this ATF utility where you can edit stuff. You can make all the planes flyable, and even the helicopters, lol.
