I think he uses the shrooms to distract the zombies so they do not shoot and so they are delayed for a while anyways the shrooms don't need any sun.

You used the First Aid upgrade to repair one Wall-Nuts.

To be truly upgrade-free, you would have to dig them up and then plant them back down.

You also used the rake, but who in their right mind would call that an upgrade for anyone who has finished the Adventure mode?

why puff-shrooms?

puff shrooms cost nothing, recharge rate is a lot faster than the walnut, so i like to use them to slow down the enemy without the need for wasting suns; puff shrooms slow them down long enough for the walnut or squash or potato mine to finish recharging (whenever i need one anyway, lol!) :-)

@killerknight12345 I don't think puff shrooms can be hurt by projectiles; the zombies HAVE to walk up to them and eat them to get rid of them. They can shoot over the shrooms and hit whatever's behind them though.
