A rather lame version of the battle. Still, it conveys somewhat the near disaster that the impetious Wayne and his Penn. line came up against in the brilliance of Cornwallis and his ambush. In all rights Wayne should have been bagged, and nearly was.  Likely many more than 140 Americans were lost here. Still, we as Americans don't like to read about defeats and this is one of the main reasons why this battle in virtually unknown and in danger of being lost to development.

actually i think they were the hessians the brittish started hiring german mercaneries but there uniforms were usally blue

No, they're not French. They're just British in their linen small clothes because it was 95 degrees and 100% humidity that day, with a heat index of 120. We, on the other hand, just removed out waistcoats but kept on our regimentals on, so we'd look more like "redcoats."
