Still, we as Americans don't like to read about defeats and this is one of the main reasons why this battle in virtually unknown and in danger of being lost to development.
No, they're not French. They're just British in their linen small clothes because it was 95 degrees and 100% humidity that day, with a heat index of 120. We, on the other hand, just removed out waistcoats but kept on our regimentals on, so we'd look more like "redcoats."

actually i think they were the hessians the brittish started hiring german mercaneries but there uniforms were usally blue
