@aznboy3213 Mortal Online has a very effective counter against that, namely that the females aren't lingerie models like in all other MMOs, but realistic as well, so no one really wants to fap to them lol. Fact is as a result of this there are very few of them in-game.
GameBot, a hardware-based type bot, doesn't make any trace on the game server unlike the other software-based program that you can easily download on the internet. so,NEVER worry about the delete of your account!

@jman19mwi In real life when you die you get permenantly banned from the server, and also there is no color symbols that stop you from killing everyone and taking over a town, and also in RL a guard doesn't insta kill you just because he has a badge, and in RL, not everyone had a sword, infact, swords were rare amongst anything but the king's garrison, people at most had iron knives, wooden pickaxes, wooden shovels, etc.
I don't know... the idea of being able to steal anything seems kinda silly. Being a thief should be much more viable by stealing money and small items than stealing armor and stuff. Seems fine to me.
Also, just starting the trial. It's frustrating how i basically need to make a halfbreed to be competitive. I really like Blainn and Kallard, lore-wise.
This game is fucking awsome and fucking frustrating at the same time...I attacked a rabbit in town earlier and some guard fucking killed me...lol i lost 100silver and some book T_T
@MegaMineShaft Indeed, I have never LOLed so hardcore from a good kill, nor have I ever been so pissed off by a game. That being said, if you were attacking a rabbit, you likely swung and hit someone else in town. People throw themselves in front of your swings so you attack them, then they yell guards, and you get guard whacked and looted. It is the king of grievers game indeed.
when you have fought a great battle and playing many hours to get your legendary sword, when you get to town and is about to put it in the bank, its gone!! and you turn around and see a naked hobbit took your hard earned weapon!! That would piss me off! and loosing something you have played a long time to get and some1 else steals it feels kinda wasted to earn, when i play MMO's i like to keep the good stuff and like show myself to others instead of hiding it ;P
@Dragofa15 If it is equipped, it can not be stolen. Also, they nerfed the thief class so much that its rarely a problem. Some things are impossible to steal due to weight. And if you a thief has stolen ANYTHING in their life, all you have to do is push him and yell guards. Pretty much one of the reason I quit the game.
@hovsep56 Don't be a sissy. It's not like items are that important anyway. This ain't WoW. Beside, you could steal in UO, and nobody complained about it. Just think outside the box.
@trainermhs hehe, during Beta, there was a rash wave of thieves in Meduli, like it was a 10 to 1 ratio of thieves to normal players. Although due to the soaring popularity of the class, it was nerfed into uselessness ;(
@pontarn00 Well useless was a bit harsh. You can still steal a few things, but with the ability of people to just push you to lose your hidden criminal status instead of taking a risk and taking a swing first, it really changed the playing field. As well as now if you do fail you go like 10 to 20 minutes of ghost form to deal with, and it doesn't go down while offline. Now, you could do big hits like getting a key or gold coins at the right time, so sure the payouts can be big.
@trainermhs sadly they knew of this videos influence, and made it so trial accounts cant steal :( They knew people would use em as alts and such on the trials so they had to limit it. You would need to actually subscribe to steal :(
..but back to the video :D its actually awesome ! why? because it shows you whats really going on there and how you need to play this game. most funny parts in this video is reading those bubbles. it means you need to create the content and fun in your head , you need to talk to you in your mind and imagine great thinks. you create jokes in your head and then you can laugh about them ^^ sandbox, you can do what ever you can imagine ..in your mind.
As many have said..this game is bordering on unethical behaviour and has been caught several times doing very unethical things.
Unfortunately the executive management isnt very accepting of any advice or criticism no matter how constructive - I know this because I was part of the very early volunteer team that did a lot of work for them, including code work.
I would stake my reputation on bad news coming from SV, and soon too.
this game looks like a first person ultima online, it definately has a ton of potential... is there a trial out for the game yet I would really love to try it out?
There's a problem with this however, the same that was in UO. Butt naked thieves stealing valuable shit, and banking it. The West Brit Bank in oldschool UO was always swarming with butt naked thieves snooping in packs and stealing shit. If they got caught and died, oh well, they didn't lose anything. If they got away with the loot, they scored. No Risk, All Reward. It's the very reason why they didn't put Stealing in Darkfall.

In Development means that it is in the processes of being developed *duh* and you probably got banned for trolling the shit out of every post, nobody likes trollers, you can have an opinion its just better to keep it to yourself sometimes. And as long as there's people (tens of thousands btw) the game wont be doomed, and since its being improved weekly more and more people will be playing, give it a year and the game will be in high standing.
@NaturesInstinct what part sucked ? It doesnt have Quests like WOW or something but the players decide what is important to do, be it resource gathering, or perhaps ganking for entertainment.
But I can say this game will piss you off like no other game ever has if you get ganked at the wrong time lol, so I can understand people being pissed.

Pre purchased this a year ago. Played occasionally since. Havent bothered going back much lately. The game is just a nice concept never carried through. Its good if your in a bad mood and want to ruins someones day griefing people but apart from that it was really odd. Hard to see why its taken them a year from closed beta to get to the present state.
@jamessut Yes, there are enough people to make anything you do a possible gank fest, so be careful. Just like every other MMO ever, you buy the game, get one month free, then pay monthly after it. However, UNLIKE every MMO ever, you will NEVER pay for an expansion! New continent..ships added? It is all free!

@youngson101 Oh yes! That is what drew me to beta this game. Although let me forwarn you! The thief class as been nerfed on neigh of useless! You can only steal up to about 60 to 80 units of something at most. It it much more likely you will fail, and the character you are stealing froms INT will make it harder as well. You stay Hidden Crim until you die. And a single push makes you go grey. Thief death is now 7 min spawn timer. And its 2 minutes before you can bank/trade stolen items.
@Skrimpish Oh yes, the really good steals are a ton of fun. Although with the new mechanics in the game, if you die, which could happen from someone randomly pushing you, you have to wait 7 minutes to respawn. So on top of the 2 minutes before you can now bank the item its nearly 10 minutes per item if things go sour. And not many items are worth that, but I heard a keep deed got stolen from a rival guild, wish I was in on that action :( Some solo thief too, lol.
Yeah it's true. It was one of their own, the guy holding the deed crashed,a and a guy named mifeiht (ImTheif backwards) took it...auctioned it off on the forums...ROFL!
@monkey6321 - We had a spy in their guld that told us they were getting it. I was like wtf and started to log onto my thief when I got word that someone else beat me to my idea :( sigh. I heard the GM of that guild rage quit after that. Then again, a keep is worth about $500 real life money.
Has this game improved at all? Last time i was looking at it it was nowhere close to being finished. Bad lagg, you could walk forever and never encounter a monster and some other stuff i dont remember...
@AxisXAllies It has come a LONG LONG way but still isn't finished. BUT they just did a patch that really fixed ALOT of the lag and added horse armor, mule pack bags, portable crushers/grinders/grizzles and some other neat stuff. The thief class is too nerfed to be very profitable but still kind of entertaining if you have 7 minutes to waste if you fail. But it is worth a look again if you were interested. The lag is much better. The server does crash alot but meh.
@mattdawg420 that's awesome. I wanna play it however it has a monthly fee =[ although if they can completely finish it and put their finishing touches on it I might consider playing it. I wish they had a f2p membership but it limits you and p2p is full-access
@nado2s It IS actually. The team that made this game were old school UO fans. Although they nerfed the thief class so much I only use it for snooping which guy to murder anymore ;/
@cmdlord Don't forget the full loot pvp. What is one item when all your gear is at stake when you leave town? But for the most part, if you keep moving, carry heavy things, and DONT go AFK, thieves aren't a problem.
@whoopiiiiie its just they would have to expand the world extremely, maybe have every elder scrolls nation in on huge world. there are also lots of other problems like player owned relistate with so many people, and quests. ive pondered upon what that would be like for ours. i hope bethesda can learn from this game so they know how to make theres.

@keasian123 Kind of but not really. There is NO Fast travel. Even by horseback you can spend hours getting in some of the remote places due to terrain. But the stealing was fun in beta, now it is a bit of a pain. I still get go hits but the 7 minutes of waiting is a bit much imo. But also, this is a full loot active PvP game. If you go out side of town, someone could gank you and take all your stuff. It is hardcore and fun, but also a time sink. Much Potential.
@Esanthus Next monday is a patch that is suppose to upgrade some of the textures so the game should look even better soon. And there has been tweaks since this footabe was taken as well. The game has potential, some of the new patches have nerfed the thief class where it isn't really worth the 10 minute wait per death now. But maybe they will balance it up a bit.
ATTENTION - This video is a fraud! It may look like fun, but it is what it USE to be like. If you try to play it now, just save your time. It is HORRIBE. WHEN.. not if.. WHEN you die from a random guy pushing you making you go HC to Grey, you then wait 2 minutes to go from grey to HC, then 5 mins from that to Blue. That is 7 minutes of waiting around before you can even spawn. I WAS going to make a new thief video, but forget it. I am thinking about deleting my character.
Yeah, this new patch raped you thieves pretty hard. It would've been a lot better to just have the tweaks they added, instead of the push to turn thieves gray. Hopefully it doesn't get all mosh pit at the banks now, and you know this is going to make beginner life tougher a bit annoying.
It's too bad they didn't take the advice of some of the players for thieves instead of giving the tissue to the whiners.
@Zeifear Yeah the mosh pit thing only happens every once in a while now. However, it is because there are no thieves. Not worth the time investment imo.
@TheDaki75 We won't be carrying anything ever with the new patch, so get use to it. Now it is pointless to try to disguise or carry gear when someone just bumps you and you lose it. And 10 minutes of waiting is something to think about. You can farm all kinds of stuff in that time, so don't act like there isn't a penalty.
@mattdawg420 yeah, the 10 mins of waiting is the penalty. But I agree on the pushing/turning gray should be taken out. The guy you steal from should be the only one who can push you and turn you gray. Also, in the future I think thieves will be needing some tools and shit to be able to steal. Same goes for taming and crafting.
@TheDaki75 Yeah that is kinda of how I feel as well. Tamer tools huh ? That would be interesting. You already consume materials in making tools but perhaps more could be added.
@mattdawg420 Just chill, more fluff will be added. The devs said a while back that tamers will need food and shit to be able to tame a horse for ex. Different horses/pets like different food and so on. I bet we will see this when they add cooking and food making. Thievery will get more balance thats for sure but for sure.

@Temudun Farming be it extracting or killing bigger mobs that drop more stuff. PKing isn't really profittable, it is just an end game thing to do when you have too much free time. Although players do drop good loot. Thieving falls into this hat too I am afraid. Tomorrow there are some tweaks to make it easier with the nerfs they did with the new release of the class. One thing that scares me is push will make you go grey if you are HC. But in some rare cases, you snag gold,keys or deeds.

@SuperAsddsaasd I think I saw you in Meduli punching people but not going grey for some reason. Better level fast, Monday they make it harder to skill up the stealing. Also that are making it so if you just get PUSHED you go from hidden to grey status. It is going to be a mosh fest :( I might not even steal and just stay blue and just push EVERYONE instead. I hope they fix it. But in a couple days it is going to be tough. You will be stunned when you steal and more ;/ Faster steals tho
@SuperAsddsaasd I started in GK as a Guttersnipe I believe. Ran the epic journey to Meduli the night before the patch went live, so I already had the starter skills. The trek across the country side built up some of my stats and skills at least along the way. Then it took me like two or three days to totally max all the thief skills. I still have a little bit of swords to work out. But the extractors that think they can take me are good practice I suppose.
Is it me or it seems that this game it's not much popular? When I first watched the first review I was like, I'm so gonna play this, like an Oblivion but multiplayer. But, after some months It's like no one talks about this game at all and it's like dieing even faster. So, is it me or I have a wrong perception?
@RazielFallenAngel There is a core element to the game that the concept and direction it is heading is interesting. But it still needs much work. At least they have patches coming out weekly and so the game is getting better. But I have problems with some of the patches they are doing to nerf the game down a bit more here and there.
@Temudun Kind of, there is a flag system. If you are good, you go to hidden state, and they have to hit you once, and you flag to grey. At that point if you are in town they just say guards and you get insta killed. If you are out of town they can kill you. Although my experience is that I left the extractors attack me, and then I kill them and get a full loot instead of just one item :)
While in combat I pressed the attack button and during the lag time I was able to take a nice long dump, wash me arse, have a smoke, write thesis and shag your sister
@crustedhairypair2 the server has been crashing ALOT since I came back. Several times a day. I use to joke that you could make a drinking game out of each time the server went down, but then you would have too much alcohol related deaths for it to be as amusing. But you probably experienced the server taking a dump. I just did actually is why I had time to post this.
@fractald Not exactly like oblivion, but the 1st person has that notion. It is less NPC based than Oblivion, pretty much all the content of the game is the players themselves, for better or worse. And it WAS free in beta, but now its live :(

this game looks like a first person ultima online, it definately has a ton of potential... is there a trial out for the game yet I would really love to try it out?

There's a problem with this however, the same that was in UO. Butt naked thieves stealing valuable shit, and banking it. The West Brit Bank in oldschool UO was always swarming with butt naked thieves snooping in packs and stealing shit. If they got caught and died, oh well, they didn't lose anything. If they got away with the loot, they scored. No Risk, All Reward. It's the very reason why they didn't put Stealing in Darkfall.

In Development means that it is in the processes of being developed *duh* and you probably got banned for trolling the shit out of every post, nobody likes trollers, you can have an opinion its just better to keep it to yourself sometimes. And as long as there's people (tens of thousands btw) the game wont be doomed, and since its being improved weekly more and more people will be playing, give it a year and the game will be in high standing.

@NaturesInstinct what part sucked ? It doesnt have Quests like WOW or something but the players decide what is important to do, be it resource gathering, or perhaps ganking for entertainment.
But I can say this game will piss you off like no other game ever has if you get ganked at the wrong time lol, so I can understand people being pissed.

Pre purchased this a year ago. Played occasionally since. Havent bothered going back much lately. The game is just a nice concept never carried through. Its good if your in a bad mood and want to ruins someones day griefing people but apart from that it was really odd. Hard to see why its taken them a year from closed beta to get to the present state.

@jamessut Yes, there are enough people to make anything you do a possible gank fest, so be careful. Just like every other MMO ever, you buy the game, get one month free, then pay monthly after it. However, UNLIKE every MMO ever, you will NEVER pay for an expansion! New continent..ships added? It is all free!

@youngson101 Oh yes! That is what drew me to beta this game. Although let me forwarn you! The thief class as been nerfed on neigh of useless! You can only steal up to about 60 to 80 units of something at most. It it much more likely you will fail, and the character you are stealing froms INT will make it harder as well. You stay Hidden Crim until you die. And a single push makes you go grey. Thief death is now 7 min spawn timer. And its 2 minutes before you can bank/trade stolen items.

@Skrimpish Oh yes, the really good steals are a ton of fun. Although with the new mechanics in the game, if you die, which could happen from someone randomly pushing you, you have to wait 7 minutes to respawn. So on top of the 2 minutes before you can now bank the item its nearly 10 minutes per item if things go sour. And not many items are worth that, but I heard a keep deed got stolen from a rival guild, wish I was in on that action :( Some solo thief too, lol.

Has this game improved at all? Last time i was looking at it it was nowhere close to being finished. Bad lagg, you could walk forever and never encounter a monster and some other stuff i dont remember...

@AxisXAllies It has come a LONG LONG way but still isn't finished. BUT they just did a patch that really fixed ALOT of the lag and added horse armor, mule pack bags, portable crushers/grinders/grizzles and some other neat stuff. The thief class is too nerfed to be very profitable but still kind of entertaining if you have 7 minutes to waste if you fail. But it is worth a look again if you were interested. The lag is much better. The server does crash alot but meh.

@cmdlord Don't forget the full loot pvp. What is one item when all your gear is at stake when you leave town? But for the most part, if you keep moving, carry heavy things, and DONT go AFK, thieves aren't a problem.

@whoopiiiiie its just they would have to expand the world extremely, maybe have every elder scrolls nation in on huge world. there are also lots of other problems like player owned relistate with so many people, and quests. ive pondered upon what that would be like for ours. i hope bethesda can learn from this game so they know how to make theres.

@keasian123 Kind of but not really. There is NO Fast travel. Even by horseback you can spend hours getting in some of the remote places due to terrain. But the stealing was fun in beta, now it is a bit of a pain. I still get go hits but the 7 minutes of waiting is a bit much imo. But also, this is a full loot active PvP game. If you go out side of town, someone could gank you and take all your stuff. It is hardcore and fun, but also a time sink. Much Potential.

@Esanthus Next monday is a patch that is suppose to upgrade some of the textures so the game should look even better soon. And there has been tweaks since this footabe was taken as well. The game has potential, some of the new patches have nerfed the thief class where it isn't really worth the 10 minute wait per death now. But maybe they will balance it up a bit.

ATTENTION - This video is a fraud! It may look like fun, but it is what it USE to be like. If you try to play it now, just save your time. It is HORRIBE. WHEN.. not if.. WHEN you die from a random guy pushing you making you go HC to Grey, you then wait 2 minutes to go from grey to HC, then 5 mins from that to Blue. That is 7 minutes of waiting around before you can even spawn. I WAS going to make a new thief video, but forget it. I am thinking about deleting my character.

Yeah, this new patch raped you thieves pretty hard. It would've been a lot better to just have the tweaks they added, instead of the push to turn thieves gray. Hopefully it doesn't get all mosh pit at the banks now, and you know this is going to make beginner life tougher a bit annoying.
It's too bad they didn't take the advice of some of the players for thieves instead of giving the tissue to the whiners.

@TheDaki75 We won't be carrying anything ever with the new patch, so get use to it. Now it is pointless to try to disguise or carry gear when someone just bumps you and you lose it. And 10 minutes of waiting is something to think about. You can farm all kinds of stuff in that time, so don't act like there isn't a penalty.

@mattdawg420 yeah, the 10 mins of waiting is the penalty. But I agree on the pushing/turning gray should be taken out. The guy you steal from should be the only one who can push you and turn you gray. Also, in the future I think thieves will be needing some tools and shit to be able to steal. Same goes for taming and crafting.

@mattdawg420 Just chill, more fluff will be added. The devs said a while back that tamers will need food and shit to be able to tame a horse for ex. Different horses/pets like different food and so on. I bet we will see this when they add cooking and food making. Thievery will get more balance thats for sure but for sure.

@Temudun Farming be it extracting or killing bigger mobs that drop more stuff. PKing isn't really profittable, it is just an end game thing to do when you have too much free time. Although players do drop good loot. Thieving falls into this hat too I am afraid. Tomorrow there are some tweaks to make it easier with the nerfs they did with the new release of the class. One thing that scares me is push will make you go grey if you are HC. But in some rare cases, you snag gold,keys or deeds.

@SuperAsddsaasd I think I saw you in Meduli punching people but not going grey for some reason. Better level fast, Monday they make it harder to skill up the stealing. Also that are making it so if you just get PUSHED you go from hidden to grey status. It is going to be a mosh fest :( I might not even steal and just stay blue and just push EVERYONE instead. I hope they fix it. But in a couple days it is going to be tough. You will be stunned when you steal and more ;/ Faster steals tho

@SuperAsddsaasd I started in GK as a Guttersnipe I believe. Ran the epic journey to Meduli the night before the patch went live, so I already had the starter skills. The trek across the country side built up some of my stats and skills at least along the way. Then it took me like two or three days to totally max all the thief skills. I still have a little bit of swords to work out. But the extractors that think they can take me are good practice I suppose.

Is it me or it seems that this game it's not much popular? When I first watched the first review I was like, I'm so gonna play this, like an Oblivion but multiplayer. But, after some months It's like no one talks about this game at all and it's like dieing even faster. So, is it me or I have a wrong perception?

@RazielFallenAngel There is a core element to the game that the concept and direction it is heading is interesting. But it still needs much work. At least they have patches coming out weekly and so the game is getting better. But I have problems with some of the patches they are doing to nerf the game down a bit more here and there.

@Temudun Kind of, there is a flag system. If you are good, you go to hidden state, and they have to hit you once, and you flag to grey. At that point if you are in town they just say guards and you get insta killed. If you are out of town they can kill you. Although my experience is that I left the extractors attack me, and then I kill them and get a full loot instead of just one item :)

I use to joke that you could make a drinking game out of each time the server went down, but then you would have too much alcohol related deaths for it to be as amusing. But you probably experienced the server taking a dump. I just did actually is why I had time to post this.

@fractald Not exactly like oblivion, but the 1st person has that notion. It is less NPC based than Oblivion, pretty much all the content of the game is the players themselves, for better or worse. And it WAS free in beta, but now its live :(
