Not to mention the fact that they already do that with GPS systems that can locate someone within 3 ft of the actual distance of the GPS;.

what is true that most mobile phones have a buildin listning device wich can be switched on,also it has gps,but that doesnt mean they record everything you do,thats simply to mutch usless data,

rather its used in special situations,say in hostage situation they can trace them,but also listen,even if switched off it gets its power drectly of the battery,remotely activated...

Some people just have no understanding of electronics.

To have a camera or microphone you's need support circuitry to use it and a means to transmit a signal.

A transmitter wouldn't work very well behind some RF shielding.

As for disguising it as a capacitor it would kind stick out as a cap only has two leads a camera would need four and would need to be properly positioned very close to a pin hole.

Are you surprised? The boxes are for receiving digital tv signals from an antenna, not watching and listening to you as you sit on your couch. Besides, the antenna and boxes aren't powerful enough to transmit anything back to the towers even if there was.
