That's actually incorrect. Ladder 26 lost its brakes descending Parker Hill Ave and crashed though a brick wall and into a large apartment building killing Lt. Kelley upon impact. No jeep was involved, it was strictly brake failure resulting from sloppy maintenance and a truck ill suited to 15 years of the rigors of the Boston Fire Department.
