HI, i do think that noone must compares Slaugther of the souls with others albums of At The Gates because they are very very diferent each other. I think that this is not a Bnad od Death Metal at all, but a Extreme Melodic Thrash Metal band. The term melodic has been corrupted for almost all the band that use this word.

For me, At The Gates is more like a Thrash than a Death Metal band.

Trivium's screaming metalcore vocals are total ass, they are some of the worst hardcore/death vocals I have ever heard.

But these vocals suck. Listen to the first line, it really sounds like the guy is losing his voice, and it cracks right at the end.
