  • Nobody can play this song like Stevie unless you have the right vocals the right guitar playing and you're putting 100% of your soul into it.

  • This is how u make awesome ! awesome! blues!

  • ONE PERSON DISLIKES THIS.... ONE PERSON IS A VIRGIN...

  • True rock and roll.

  • Great song...

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan = Guitar God

  • I wouldn't be surprised if this song was written about his guitar.

  • @juanbond85 Hah it actually was written about Number One, a 1963 Strat that got constructed from different year parts, a 1963 neck and 64 body and 59 pickups

  • This version is Rockin'!!

  • this song is better live than it is on the cd.

  • Red strat + pride and joy = awesome

  • This is my favorite SRV song and this version is the best I've heard.

  • So VH1 makes a list of the 100 greatest artist of all time and has people who deserved to be on there. But the fact that ABBA, Outkast, Coldplay, The Beegees, and the Beastie Boys make the list and SRV isn't on the list pisses me off beyond comprehension. The modern media is rigged

  • @rokstr3 ABBA, Bee Gees: ok...but Coldplay: WHAT?!?!?!

  • @rafaelzanatabueno yeah dude if it wasnt for their lead singer fucking gwenyth paltrow i dont they would be as popular. and if it came down to it who do you think has more soul in their voice SRV or Chris Martin. Or who is a better guitarist SRV or Johnny Buckland.

  • i have the EXCACT SAME GUITAR!!! WOOO!!!!! :3!

  • bow in the presence of SRV's greatness

  • Astonishin' Fiesta Red Strat. Love her

  • @terzolilu I agree, I so wish they would use this color again, I think its the one everyone wants.

  • "back in the day"-SRV was the lead guitarist for Bowie and quit.

"Just who does he think he is" I thought. Go forward a summer or two and I am running late for a date. I get out of the shower and this Austin City Limits comes on PBS. I just stopped and starred at the TV through the entire show.

Even today I stop and stare at the screen watching music flow from him effortlessly.

"Just who does he think he is"...Well he showed everyone who he was.

Best ever.period. God We Miss You Stevie.

  • @StopyerBitchin

Well actually SRV was hired by Bowie after he watched SRV and Double Trouble perform at the 1982 Montreaux Jazz Festival. Even though SRV was booed after their performance (can you believe that!). Supposedly it was primarily an acoustic venue until that point. But anyway SRV was hired by Bowie and agreed, he was still SRV and Double Trouble. "Let's Dance" was the most commercially successful song they did I believe.

  • he 's got some soap under his fingers!! LOVE SRV!!!

the best blues guitar player ever.

  • oh Stevie, you were such a brilliant guitarist, why'd you have to leave us?

  • It's so awesome that people are still discovering Stevie. He's the best ever! I miss you every day, Stevie.

  • 2.23 Thats heavy bluesgroove at its best, The greatest texas blues guitarist ever

  • This is the best live version along with the El Macambo version. Those two are the best.

  • This is also my favourite version of pride and joy! A bit more distortion than usual that really makes the guitar scream! The solo is also the best version ive heard. Really love the part from 2:00-2:15, awesome!

  • gosh i love his style. he plays with so much feel, very talented.

  • Awesome Lyrics .=]

  • this is so far the best pride and joy i ever heard from stevie you rock SRV

  • @tolow16

I agree. The tone of this red guitar is excellent.

  • Yeah, I second that. He gets a great tone from Number One. On this particular version, though, his tone is so nice.

  • @tolow16 : The second best is Mocambo one's !!
