Also check out Tassadar's renewed portrait and the portrait of the Dark Voice that is revealed using shading techniques... They look the same.
@enjoythestruggle Umm no they don't look the same at all.. The Armor is VERY different, and the dark voice got those tusks on his chin, tassadar hasn't got any. Why would tassadar want to kill off all protoss and terrans?
@KillaPillaP Tassadar looks much more like tDV than any other Protoss, yet it's obvious they won't use a 100 percent identical portrait and will have small changes when he's in his 'true form'. Armour can change as easily as clothes, and Tassadar's original armour was likely destroyed when he 'died'. I also think it's pretty suspicious Tassadar says he's never tasted death and can come back as a ghost when no other Protoss has revealed this ability yet, not even the powerful Fenix.

Remember he 'enhanced' the Overmind for just this purpose. @KillaPillaP If something is controlled by the Voice In The Darkness, it has black ooze coming out of its eyes and mouth. Duran, Narud and tDV don't have that.

It's Tassadar people. Remember how Tassadar was reluctant to burn the planet's surfaces and thus killing the Terrans? Well what if he was protecting the Zerg instead? He wasn't interested in the further fate of the Protoss, he just killed the rebelling Overmind. He faced Kerrigan several times, he knows she has the possibility of becoming a threat to him, but is more likely to threaten the other races as the HoTS trailer shows and ultimately help the Zerg fulfill 'his purpose for them' anyway.

The other two died by his hand, with Kerrigen actually unknowingly helping him do this once he saved her from a laboratory where she was the last test subject left alive. Here's how I understand it: The Dark Voice is an evil Xel'Naga that messed with the creation of the zerg. From what I can tell, the Xel'Naga did not mean for the zerg to be malicious, but Dark Voice made them that way in order to later forcefully merge the zerg with the protoss. The Xel'Naga normally just allow the "Purity of form" and "Purity of essence" to merge peacefully over the years, but basically he derailed the entire cycle.

From there, I played each one and recorded it using a mic setting on one of my computers that has the computer sound feed directly into the input.

I don't know how a protoss should evolve, really, but it could aswell be adun, since we never saw him, but we heard of him, and he died while protecting the DT's (at the time they were known as Khala Rogues)

Who knows. However from what I understand this mysterious person or the revelation of the xel naga won't appear in later star craft expansions but Starcraft 3 itself. Can ya wait til 2022? lol
HOWEVER- some have speculated the xel'naga were actually some form of advance human.

No way in hell Xel 'Naga could be an advanced human form, Xel 'Naga themselves are the "Purity of Form and Purity of Essence" and they created the Zerg (P. of Form) and the Toss (P. of Essence) do merge them to the NEW Xel 'Naga... i doubt that the Human Race has anything to do with that.
I just hope we get more mysterious stuff i love mysterious stuff from the SC Universe :D

They could've meant pure of Protoss or Zerg, which humans are neither of. it's believed humans are actually a lot and i mean A LOT older as a specie and have roamed the galaxy for aeons before making these. The theory sounds similar to halo but eh. if you know blizzard they'll give you something mysterious and not an answer

@heroestratos I opened the campaign map "In Utter Darkness" within the editor. I can't remember the finite details of where, but if you look through the data, you will find them. From there, I played each one and recorded it using a mic setting on one of my computers that has the computer sound feed directly into the input.

@Quizboy9 I actually have a feeling that is duran.. In BW there was a protoss bonus mission where zeratul discovers a plan of creating hybrids, Duran was behind it i think, cant remember much. And in sc2 you see the hybrids with the zerg and cuz duran is infested i think hes the dark voice.. Thats just my theory

The Dark Voice is described as an entity connected to the Void. He is (possibly) a corrupted Xel'naga.
All I know is that he is NOT Duran, he is NOT the Voice in the Darkness, and he is NOT a Protoss - so, the theory that he's Adun - consider it debunked.

@alphaazulon2010 @Thremle They're talking about Starcraft 64, which was a port of the original Starcraft game onto the Nintendo 64. It also came with a few exclusive maps and missions. He's talking about a particular map called Resurrection 4, which is considered semi-canon. As far as I know, however, Taldarin only mentioned being put in a status cell before the invention of dragoons; he was already in a dragoon at the time of the mission.

And I believe Adun never actually makes an appearance during the mission; he's and only mentioned by Taldarin. No mention of flash back either from what I know. It's possible the line you remember was delivered from the infested Stukov, who was the main adversary of that particular map.

Contrary to popular belief - he is NOT Duran, nor is he the same thing as the Voice in the Darkness. They are separate entities. Duran is the Dark Voice's servant, yes - but he is not the same being.
The Fallen One may be a Xel'Naga that was corrupted by the Void. In whatever case, he's the real Big-Bad of the StarCraft series, not Kerrigan. If she dies, the Hybrid will enslave the Zerg, destroy the Terrans and Protoss, dispose of the Zerg and remake the universe.

The Hybrid are the real enemy. As some have said - I myself believe the Protoss, Zerg and Terrans will unite against the Hybrid.
Raynor will likely overthrow the Dominion - maybe a new government under Valerian replaces it.
Kerrigan regains control over her forces in Heart of the Swarm.
Zeratul unites all the Protoss people together in Legacy of the Void.
All three form a truce, against the Hybrid.
