Hey skeptics! Just look at some of the other "walk-a-long" gliders on this page on You tube and you will be convinced that it is indeed real. This doesn't breach the laws of physics (like the notorious "magnet motor" does).

i know this trick. you make an airplane out of very light paper and use something like a cardboard square and use it to propel the plane forward. click on the second related video "Mr.s Nic's Class...." etc. to see it.

use anything that is light, flat and wide to force air up, it's hard to practice but you'll get the hang of it

p.s. don't use glass, that's the stupidest thing you could use, or concrete, use something like a cardboard, a plastic screen, some paper that is hard as cardboard

I was only able to try it out in the confines of my room ... But it definitely works! I wasn't even that precise with my folds and my cutting in the end wasn't the same on both sides but it worked! so excited to try it outside! (:

@199mikeg - Facepalm. Its not strings, if you Google, "Walk-along Glider" you can even find plans on how to make them and how they work. Most times you have to use a large piece of cardboard you hold up to create enough updraft, but I have seen some, made out of very thin paper that will stay aloft by just walking behind it with your body/head creating enough updraft. It isn't a string though.

What he does is he has a large piece of plastic (pro riot shield) that pushes the air upwards into the paper airplanes wings, thus, pushing it forward.

@C00lman555 - Its not fishing line its...Ok, it would take a million years to educate everyone of you. GOOGLE, "WALK-ALONG GLIDER", there are even plans on how to make your own. If you use very thin paper you can even have them so your body/head will create enough updraft to keep it aloft.
