i got blu ray ...but i also bought hd coz its so cheap an even tho they aint makin no more hds the back catalogue is big an cheap,for the price of a few blu rays i got the hd player an lots of hds ima get em all.the picture an sounds pretty good on most of em cant tell the dif between them an blu ray.....BARGAIN! so im glad they had a lil nerdy format war an lost lol coz there loss is my gain.MUAH!!! 8 )

same resolution, screenplay and sound depends on the codec used and its bitrate. Blu-ray allows higher bitrate (and obviously more space). So, an HD DVD ported to BD has the same quality (examples are Warner's titles)

I am a sony fans too. Everything I own are Sony, with exception of computer and mobile phone.

Toshiba is apparently still bitter. Their products do not include BD. And if you see samsung or any other laptop manufacturers, they have BD now (they were formerly DVD only manufacturer)

my tv is sony my sound system is sony my cell phone is sony i have a ps3 i have a ps2 and ps1 i had an sony dvd player and a sony VHS player. pretty much same as you then. About the laptops ye i know ive seen it. i would get one but their expensive as hell were i live.

vaio is overpriced. I bought 20 inch HP laptop with HD DVD for cheaper (HD DVD was the only option), then IMMEDIATELY replaced it with BD because my disgust with HD DVD.

My Sony products:

PS1 (EU), PS2 (Japan and Asia), PS3 (Japan and EU), PSP (original japan, and slim japan), hi-fi, cassette walkman, cd walkman, television (total=3), speakers, bluetooth headset, DVD player (2).

but my cell phones are nokia and HP.

Thats always been the greatest thing about the Playstation since the first one. The multi-media processing. Watching movies, Listening to music, Go on the Internet, Play Video Games. You can pretty much do anything on them. Its a pure home entertainment device!

Not to be an ass hole but if HD DVD goes then Microsoft's next XBOX Console has lost, if they want HD DVD for there games.

SONY's PLAYSTATION 3 has already won the competition since SONY is Blu-Ray.

Unless Microsoft has some trick up there sleeve to keep in the competition for NEXT-GEN Gaming Console/Systeme.
