  • Geeeeeeeeeeeee-zous!!!!

  • The only torrent for Hitecherous is in Flac, this is good since i can't get the vinyl anywhere locally in Adelaide.

  • @gmj2012 i think the 'dub' in all these various styles comes from the reggae styles of overdubbing recordings with heavy bass focus with delays and reverbs anallat : ]

  • @btgream YOU! get a cookie.

  • holy fuck

  • @gmj2012 This discussion is on the point of becoming usesless, but I must agree with hotnovel and i hope skrillex dies, I mean that's (bad) dubstep. Nothing to do with dub. Anyway I thought you might also like to check out Mad Professor. The sounds are less clean than this but you might enjoy it... peace keep listening to good music

  • @fretnothyself Thanks, I checked out one of his what I had hoped would be instructional but wasn't. Reggae is the root of dub it seems to be that message, but wish he'd actually given a verbal description of what he was doing. I'm hot for his mixing board tho, lol. Thanks for the help, if you know of a good instructional video on the differences, please PM me the link, thanks :)

  • crazy DUB! as chilled as it is, makes me wana skank out like a mudafucka

  • @gmj2012 I'm afraid there is something like this.... it's called dub my friend. Brush up on your king tubby

  • @fretnothyself I listen to dubstep all the time, this is NOT your average dub, this is unique in ways most dub can't even hope to approach, plus the reggae & psychedelic influences or flavor to this, I am hooked on this sound. I prefer music that is NOT in the mainstream, and even dub is starting to become mainstream (Skrillex), so am always grateful to find new twists to an old genre.

  • @gmj2012 dub and dubstep are totally different, check out lee perry, king tubby or spacemonkeys.

  • @gmj2012 Yes it combines my favorite sounds too, all those you listed, which is why I am now hooked on this sound too :) I'm looking into the genre now, so I'll know the differences & further refine what I like or don't like in music I share & review. Thanks for the response. Glad to know I'm not alone in my experience of this music. :)

  • @fretnothyself I just checked out some of his work & LOVED it, though it sounds experimental--one of my fave genres or styles in any genre--DnB based. Where does the word and dub music come from? Am told it is the core of dubstep of today, but not why or how, or the differences. I'm eager to learn & educate myself, am a hand drummer, love DnB, saw old 45 with word dub on it & thought that was strange since dubSTEP was newer than that, now I know why--dub came before dubstep.

  • Awesome psychedelic vocal effects, very slow BPM, tribal electronic fusion I can't describe because there's nothing like this anywhere. WOW. Incredible job on this, love all those cool sci fi sounds (synths & such)--this even has some real industrial music sounds mixed in! I've shared the link to this one all over, they deserve some serious recognition for work this damned excellent.

  • @gmj2012 hahahah what... this is called dub, there are quite alot of dub artists out there man

  • @hotnovel See reply to fretnothyself for response.

  • mad ill.

  • THIS IS SO FUCKING SICK

  • fucking awesome

  • This is how it would have sounded if King Tubby did it! De chune FIYA!

  • Dub!

  • Beautiful dub
