  • Very Good video guys. It captures the feel of something old getting re=discovered. And never mind the few that complain about erasing history. So far, the Human race doesn’t seem to learn anything from History as they keep repeating the same stupid mistakes over and over and over.

  • Have you ever checked old census documents to try and figure out who might have lived there?

  • @SHNewEngland Right on Bill! The Arkys have no concept of the massive nature of our history, nor do they recognise the fact the only ones that care if a button fell off of someones coat 200 years ago is the detectorist. If you find a penny in Walmarts parking lot you can pick it up, leave it there long enough it becomes a relic you're not supposed to touch.

  • @SHNewEngland I didn't see any bulldozers in your video.

  • Good job looking for ancient sites and documenting. Great video.

  • Excellent site find and recovery. Great video...just the kind of place that I love to hunt. Would have been lost to history without your efforts!

  • You guys found a nice spot! Good luck hunting it later on. How much is a GPS unit like the one you guys use?

  • My GPS is an old, outdated one that does not have mapping- just saves locations. A good one with maps can be like $100-$150....

  • That whole site is a great find! Its just too bad we can't look back at what it looked like in its prime days of activity. HH!

  • That's half the fun- trying to imagine what life was like back then & what the house looked like....

  • @Rocknranchman if you approach treasure hunting with responsibility rather than just wandering around with a metal detector, you will learn a lot about the site. I don't see anyone mapping things out or taking notes in this video. by removing artifacts without recording or reporting them to proper academia you are destroying yet another piece of the puzzle.

  • @shatros I just made a comment about how the site was great and how it would be nice to see it in its day. WTF? I would agree with what you said if there were some historic reason to believe that an important event or person happened there. What makes you think I'm not responsible? You should never Ass-u-me!

  • @Rocknranchman Every single site, every old stone wall and old stone foundation and every artifact found in a field IS historically important. I never said YOU were not responsible. I was commenting on this video and the people in it. When I said "you" in my comment, I was refering to the figurative "you" as in all people in general. I certainly was not acusing you of anything.

  • Where's PT 2 ?

I hope ya gave that stone wall a twice over with the coil !

    -D-

  • Why on earth would you rub that old token with your thumb in the field? Clean it properly when you get home.

  • Because we were filming a movie you clown & my thousands of fans worldwide kinda would like to see some damn details! OK? Don't talk down to me like I'm some kinda newbie......

I love stupid comments like this....

  • whats the highest valued coin you've found?

  • I am so sick of these people that frown on us who love to detect..I get chased away from sites all the time..I mean I can be in the woods off of a main road and have some jerk stop and walk into the woods to tell me Im on private property..Its not there property they just say Im not supposed to be there..Go Get a Life you idiots...A harmless thing like looking for coins in the woods just angers some people..I just continue to detect no matter what anyone says..Metal Detecting Rules....GOOCH

  • "chowduh" come on say it "chowduh" haha. That is a nice "tahget"

  • did ya hear me say "baan" too? (barn) :)

  • I'll have to watch in again! Thanks for having a sense of humor!

  • awsome video, it will be interesting to see what comes from a day long hunt.. im jelouse!!!!

  • Looks like fortifications.

  • great video and finds! i was just wondering...how do you find your spots? old maps? i can't seem to find any of my area later than 1876.

  • Cool discoveries but... you should never never never rub your fingers across a coin, especially a dirty one. : )

  • I just love stupid comments. Do you think your talking down to a beginner? I know what I'm doing, & they were copper coins not silver....Besides, it wouldn't be much of a movie if we didn't rub the coppers a bit to ID for the viewers now would it?

  • Really cool spot - good video

  • Thanks, I think:) That's a new one...I have been told I talk like John Wayne in the past. More people comment on my Boston accent more than anything else...

  • Great video like to come up and go relic hunting no BS I am in KY some civil war stuff but no colonial stuff I am going to go pak the caar

  • You guys should consider detecting in the Czech Republic someday, sites like that are everywhere here, dating back to the Celtic times(and I always forget where they are, GPS, what?). Great vid, CCC

  • I would love to...is it legal to hunt there? How about getting finds back to the US? Smuggling?

  • Excellent video! I'm really looking forward to part two. I'm up in North Central MA. Awesome job guys...got me all pumped up to get out and detect :)

  • very cool!

    good luck guys!

    matt

  • nice video!! ever find out what that coin/token was??

  • It was what I suspected....political token from 1864. It pictures Civil War Gen. McClellan and promoted him for president.

  • Thanks alot for watching....we are dying to get back there for more serious searching.

  • Hey guys:Looks like you have a great site to swing for sure.Congrats!!!Look forward to seeing what all you guys find.Really enjoy your videos. Thanks
