Trotsky's actions in shooting or threatening to shoot deserters during a battle were hardly terror tactics at that time. Britain, Germany and France all had the same policy during World War 1.

No - Trotsky was basically an animal and he got what he deserved. But his actions here (i.e., the ones referred to in this clip) were no different from the actions taken by the rest of the world powers at the time.
What distinguishes the likes of Trotsky, Lenin and especially Stalin from other leaders of their era is the brutality and the cold disregard that they had for human life off the battlefield.

I'm sorry, you're right, Felix Dzerzhinsky deserve impartial and unbiased treatment. Just think, if he hadn't murdered all of Russia's most productive citizens the Soviets might have done better as a nation. Felix Dzerzhinsky is a true Polish hero!
