@SuperChalkster You say "but the fact is it was an Avg day to day performance from Taylor" Well if you've watched this match as many times as you say you have, you'll notice they say Taylor's average was not at all bad that day & nobody can say Barney caught him on a cold day. Yes, Taylor may have improved SINCE, but at the time it was his usual best. If Barney hadn't have been so off in the first three sets-his average would have been WAY higher. All about how you interpret stats.

What a match, watched this a few times now. prob the best game of darts your ever likely to see, both Avg 100+ in 13 sets of darts AMAZING! but the fact is it was a Avg day to day performance from Taylor but Barney played in the zone. I dont think Taylor knew what hit him! But imho i dont think barney has ever been the same after this match, its like he gave it every bit he had like a boxer. then never returns the same player/fighter.

@rt7ify Listen next time. The announcer is saying that Phil Taylor( Who did not win ) won last years world championships. He then goes on to say the winner of the 2007 worlds is Barneveld( The current year at that time) .

I am in awe and wonder every time i watch Phil The Power play a game pf darts.

But his just shows that barneveld has the natural ability,i would say he is a more natural player than taylor,i hope he gets back to this level.Seen em destroy Jenkins in the premier league last week lets hop it keeps up.

But there is only 1 phil taylor.

That, along with the Lewis v Anderson match last year, complete classics! This one, considering how it went to the Sudden Death leg, and it capping an unbelievable first year in the PDC for Barney, is definitely THE best though!

Yes excellant game. I think Barney needs to watch this game to remind himself what a great player he is. But also to remind himself he shouldnt give up on games like he has been doing.
