Thanks for posting this. Brings back alot of memories. My mama used to sing this song. I always enjoyed going to the Carter Fold. Not the same anymore with Joe and Jeanette gone. But Rita and Dale are going great keeping it going.
The autoharp was made by Orthey Autoharps... they were made from a Mulberry tree on Joe Carter's property. Mr. Orthey said the autoharps are the best he's ever heard.. and the Carter Commerative Autoharp will be discontinued when he uses the last of the wood from that special Mulberry tree. Check out Orthey Instruments page, the story is there. I mourn the Carters.
wow, so cool. I did a interview with her for a documentary that I am doing on Jimmie Rodgers, and recorded a little of her when she was on stage. She passed away not to long after this footage was shot.

She was the last living member of the first 2 generations of the original Carter Family .
