  • whats up with all the twists and turns with the port?

  • that is one crazy port

  • Sketchup rules :)

  • is there a place where i can get this box's specs or download this file to my google sketch up?

  • @DesignsByRyan Do u think it would be alright to put the sub on the left side shown in the picture rather than the bottem and also would u recommend putting a 15 in a box like this one except bigger of course.

  • What program are you using to design that box? I've been trying to design a box for 4 10s but I can't find a program...

  • @AChap52 It's called Google SketchUp, and it's free.

  • I wanted to build a box but I'm not sure how to tune a port

  • @fts420420 Dude, me too! Its like we got screwed somehow...

I was tellin this guy the same thing the other day.... He was all -"learn"... I was all like, whatever dude...

  • @Ian2lo4u2c I found a port calculator at the 12 volt if you want to google it 12 volt port calculator but i'm not sure about T-lines or other kinds of box designs but hopefully this helps you dude. What drivers are you planning on using? I was thinking the of preordering the new SA8-V.2.

  • That port is so long is it really only 35hz?

  • @Ninesvnsicks It's that long because the tuning is based on the 1/4 wavelength of the tuning frequency. You take the speed of sound in ft/sec, which is rounded to 1130. Divide that by the frequency you want to tune to...in this case 35. That'll give you the total length(in inches) of the wavelength for that frequency. Now, since we're doing 1/4 wavelength, divide that be four to get the needed length in inches...ends up being around 8ft or so.

  • @DesignsByRyan

By your description, the wavelength would be 32.285 inches when divided by 4 would be 8.07 inches. So I must ask, was that a typo and you meant to say length in feet? Because that is going to confuse a ton of people.

  • @blown262 That's in feet since the original measurement we're using(speed of sound) is in feet per second.

  • @DesignsByRyan

That's what I thought. Thanks for the clarification.

  • I tried making a pair of bookshelf speakers like these but it failed miserably as I couldn't get the wood to seal and just went with simple ported instead

  • what screen capture program are you using? looks like cam studio, but i can't tell.

  • @dlzonwlz It is in fact cam studio.

  • nice t line . would like to make a t line for my 2 rockfordfosgate rfp 4412 subwoofers ..how can i get the specs, can any one help with the info , thanx

  • can i get the dimentions on this box ?

  • @556Brice I believe it was 34" wide x 11" tall x 11" deep, but I'm not 100% sure on that...it'll be close though.

  • the air outlet is wrong should not go there Deveria go straight without a bend to air out straight and not ruin the sound

  • @45llamas This box has worked great for the customer, he loves it. Just as loud as his old 10" was on the same power. :D

  • song?

  • can u make one for the critical mass UL12?

  • @ProSoundXD I'm trying to find some t/s specs on the UL12, but am having no luck. If you can find the t/s for them, feel free to submit your info through my website, and I'll see what I can do for you.

  • @BlakeMichetti93 hii, do u make make t line subwoofer enclosures??

  • @HITCHHIKERNAIEM I just design them, I do not build.

  • @HITCHHIKERNAIEM I make 1/4 Wave Horn boxes which are similar to T-line boxes and are very loud

  • @BlakeMichetti93 HI THANX FOR UR REPLY , CAN U MAKE A ENCLOSURE FOR 2 ROCKFODFOSGATE 12" SUBS ? PLZ REACH ME AT MY EMAIL. THANX

  • Im trying to build a t line for my idmax12" d2v3 tuned to 30 hz think you could help me design one with dimensions? Its going in my trunk and the max space i can use is 36" x 18" by 15"

  • Really Nice Looking.

  • hi there i was just wondering if i could use your teemplate for your 8"t-line sub box if so can u email it to me please thanks my email is . joshandoliver@live.co.uk thanks

  • Can you do a video on a 12" image dynamics idmaxd2v3 tuned to 28hz? I would like to build my own but dont know what the actual specs of the box should be.

  • @nathan225566 that is a t-line box tuned to 28hz, thank you

  • doin 2 xtr 10 in a t. cant wait

  • can u give me any tips to build a t-line box? just the general knowledge you should know when starting one? I've heard that u need 1ft of port to 1inch of speaker, I want to make one for a single 10, for my first project and see how it goes. How wide should the port be? I've built boxes, just never a t-line.

  • Hey man, its audio_phill, any chance I could get ya to send me schematics for one like this at 32Hz for the tb ultra 8? Whats the f3 on it @ 35Hz, did I send you tsp's for the ultra?

  • What about doing a T-Line for a Pair of Fosgate Hx2 10's? My buddy has a pair of 12's that he got from me. In a normal Ported box that really does some damage! I dont have room in my Car (or i dont want to loose the room i have) to T-Line a pair of hx2 12's, but i can get ahold of some 10's... Think they would work ok?

  • @StreetMetalBen I'd have to look at the t/s parameters to get a good idea if it would work well or not.

  • sick box, and a question... how do you make the corner pieces with sketchup? Thanks

  • I just got the sub from jesseadkins187 but he only had one sub and I guess that it handles roughly about 2k rms so I wanted to look into something strong and nice plus a little bit different I never built a box before but would b nice to do this cause I'm not in a rush build or anything

  • Hehehe I have a ford Econoline van and wanted to somehow actually take up enough space to make a bed on top of it :) or do I need two subs to do that????

  • Would something like this work well with a Fi BL 18" sub ?????? :)

  • @MrPep469 Yes, but the box would be rather large, roughly 10-12ft^3.

  • ya, the subs arent real stiff..but they were only going to get about 50 watts each. ya you're right, im sure i'd need like 10 cubic feet or so for a box.

  • was thinkin of doing one for my two jl wx 10's. seems like it would need to be a huge box bein as i would like it tuned to resonance..which is 30 hz. do you think it would be worth it? and how hard would it be to draw up a design of it? ...Jason

  • @jasonbc69 It would take up a lot of space. I haven't looked at the t/s specs for your subs, but I doubt they would be a god candidate for a t-line, as you need a woofer with a strong motor and stiffer suspension to keep better control of the cone since there is little back pressure with this type of enclosure.

  • @DesignsByRyan Man your designs are sick how do you find your information for building boxes like this I want to do something for a kicker solox 12 could you help me out?

  • i cummed in ur butt

  • shit does look fucken dope

  • @HomeBoyMuzik773 Thanks bro.

  • T Line boxes are some very complicated things to engineer! What do you think the DB gain is this T Line versus a normal ported box tuned at the same frequency? I have always been interested in T line boxes because people are so intimidated by how difficult they are. Takes up a lot of wood and weight also eh? LIKED!

  • Wicked cool design.

  • @ToxicBarracuda Thanks man, it was fun to do.
