I think I am one of ricky gervais' biggest fans. Every night i fall asleep laughing to the old xfm shows. His comedy and laugh are infectious. However saying that I was deeply disappointed with this film. The potential of this film was not realised. A film with this cast should have been really special. Im sorry to say it but it was seriously one of the worst films I have seen in a long time.

I love Ricky Gervais and his comedy and look forward to his upcoming work. This film gets 1.5/5

hi correctuido, i'm the same with those old xfm shows, whatever is happening, I listen to them daily for a laugh. That's a shame about his latest movie. Apart from The Office, I think Ricky is at his funniest on radio with Steve and Karl, and the bloopers. Regards.

@Correctuido I feel exactly the same. I constantly listen to him and he is my God but I was let down by the film. It felt a bit contrived although I really wanted to love it! I found the storyline and the comedy a bit obvious! The new film cemetry junction is meant to be amazing though! Cant wait! :)

If you have a look round at the reviews on the net, good and bad, there are many from religious groups (although mainly Christian) that were shouting blasphemy when the trailer came out.

As I said in my post, Not all but some are causing a fuss.

I agree that the media try to stir up trouble anyway they can... but in this case... it doesnt need much stirring.

Exactly. I'm a Roman Catholic, and it's hypocritical of my entire Church to be angry at the way other people act towards us. We've been terrible to many MANY different nations over time, and we're just afraid that our religion is going to become nothing.

Christianity needs to get out with the old and in with the new. Everything else is changing and updating it's laws, so Christianity should too.
