Well, you are wrong. I am in fact resolutely pro-choice. I'm a peace activist too, I even went to Palestine last May, so yeah tell me about war. It's not the eggs themselves I care about as you claim, it's the chickens who we force to live in slavery so that we can eat eggs. I found this song to be very uninspired and very non-engaging. The girl cannot sing. She can hold a note, but it's hardly an appropriate key. I was sick of the song half way through. The video's weak abstract visuals made it very hard to watch.

The other guitarist in my band is a friend of Becky. I went to see LD a while back. The hippy vibe isn't normally my thing, but they're different. You come out feeling so happy. Beautiful voice, great songs and musicianship, totally worth seeing live.
While I normally consider less cheerful music the more realistic stuff, this is good. It's like something you could listen to in line at the grocery store, with much more credibility than all the "Baby come back to me"-themed crap it would be situated alongside.
I liked the video just as much. The colors and the clothing and the dancing had a fun, indie feel to it - why should the spirit of music be rooted in a big budget?

I agree with the folk singer Pete Singer that the best songs are the simple songs, and the simple songs are the hardest to write, but couldn't she have come up with a better rhyme for "open your heart"? I know it's metaphorical, but how is tearing it apart a good thing?

I know everyone who's commented on this song loves it but does anyone else?I mean if this song was release 30 years ago it would probably be a classic. Nowadays it's too sappy for the "hip, indie" crowd, and too "fruity" for the Timbaland mainstream crowd.I'm just sayin this cos this was my fav song of 2007 and it deserves wider recognition but I (still) know of no-one else who has even heard of them

Boy this music video SUCKS compared to seeing them live. When you see them live you can feel the rays of love that emanate out of lead singeress Becky Stark, who is the sweetest and most adorable creature in the universe (by far). Truly LUFFable that one.
When I heard her sing You Broke my Heart live I was nearly hugging myself. It was overwhelming.

The other guitarist in my band is a friend of Becky. I went to see LD a while back. The hippy vibe isn't normally my thing, but they're different. You come out feeling so happy. Beautiful voice, great songs and musicianship, totally worth seeing live.

While I normally consider less cheerful music the more realistic stuff, this is good. It's like something you could listen to in line at the grocery store, with much more credibility than all the "Baby come back to me"-themed crap it would be situated alongside.
I liked the video just as much. The colors and the clothing and the dancing had a fun, indie feel to it - why should the spirit of music be rooted in a big budget?

Not all starting bands have the budget to make grand videos and grand doesn't suit each band so I think this fits very well with the tune.

This band is truly amazing, but who in god's name directed this? ! This video has to be one of the worst pieces of hipster garbage I've seen in a while. What's with the silver-lake girls dancin in the background? If you don't have a brilliant idea for a music video, don't make a music video. It's a poor excuse for a medium as it is; when the videos are bad, it makes the music sound bad.

Heard this song at the end of the July 7 airing of Studio 360 (public radio), had never heard the voice or the group before. Becky sends out a very positive vibe, so needed at this dark time. Were this 1968, this would have been a smash hit. Lighten up people! Peace.
