I would say I am very jealous of Singapore for what they are. Most of the Hong Konger's ethnicity is Chinese is an undeniable fact, but there are so many things in the PRC that we cannot agree with. Communism is predominantly the factor and without capitalism and the freedom of information we would not be as good as we were from the 70's to 90's. However, under the British rule we are only second class citizens and therefore we are better off in the PRC. Independence is never an option.
