I am not sure which scripture you are referring to. Those who took a Nazarite vow did not cut their hair. Many feel Jesus was not only from Nazareth but also took a Nazarite vow to fulfill scriptures concerning Him. Most art picturing Jesus depicts Him with long hair as I also have done.

Why is his hair long? God instructed the male Isrealites to cut their hair. I doubt Jesus had long hair. In fact, it was modestly cut. Per the instruction to Isrealite men.

I am not sure which scripture you are referring to. Those who took a Nazarite vow did not cut their hair. Many feel Jesus was not only from Nazareth but also took a Nazarite vow to fulfill scriptures concerning Him. Most art picturing Jesus depicts Him with long hair as I also have done.

Yea. There was given clear instruction for isrealite men to cut their hair. This was strict instructions to the men in particular. Only women were to have long hair. The men were to be modestly cut and trim. Most religions mix pagan practices with christianity. That don't make it right.

You still have not given me a scripture reference. Also, you are not taking the Nazarite vow into consideration that I pointed out. At any rate, I don't think Jesus' HAIR is what we need to be dwelling on. What all Christians need is to draw closer to the Lord through prayer and studying His Word. If the early church fell short (as the next two chapters of Revelation show) then how far from what God wants us to be are we?

What if he had a mohawk? The point of the hair is that it represented modesty. Along with the rest of his appearance. A true christian should follow christ in all aspects. Including the principle of modesty. If i show you the scripture, will you then change your views? You can't ignore god's laws to satisfy your own perception. Don't ignore the principle.

Dencop1 raises the point about law v.s. grace. This, in my opinion, is what makes the Christian doctrine absurd. There is no way to know how much gravity the laws need to hold in the life of a Christian.

We will all meet God, some to eternal life, some to eternal damnation. God loves you and wants to GIVE you eternal life. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him." Christ can take away the burden of anger that you have and replace it with peace. If you accept Him he will give you the joys of your heart. Deny him and you will remain bitter and nothing in this world will bring you true happiness.
