@FunWidMinecraft If you're at the bottom 5 layers of the map, you can encounter bedrock. If you're at a layer which is stacked on top of another block and clip down through it, you'll be inside the blocks, suffocating. Then the East/South pushing is attempted, and if it fails, you'll die of suffocation (because you cannot break bedrock to breathe). If the layer you clip through has nothing under it, you will fall into the void and die.

Some mappers have these cheats in mind and use them to make their maps that much harder. Vechs for example has done this in nightmare realms.
