  • The funny part is, he never hit the coin. he hit the green plaster paper underneath the coin, which in turn knocked the coin out. notice the scene where the bullets zips by and "hits the coin"..... look at the paint on this plaster/paper. It hits below the coin. The bullet never hit the coin.

  • around 1:42, why is that guy speaking english? he said yes instead of da

  • I wonder who would win in a fight between this drill seargent and the DI from Full Metal Jacket. This movie was great

  • Damn his good

  • FUCK!

There was the whole movie here on YT, but - as usual - some asshole didn't like it, and they closed the account of "IgorRussland", that posted it.

    Pity! Such a nice movie!...

  • I like the transition from chanting politically correct phrases to AK-fire. Nice "contrast", if you like.

  • America and Russia together would be an unstoppable force

  • @koryworm You again... why would Russia want to join in at Oppressing the world with a bunch of Imperialist Cunts like you, when the people rise up it will be you and you alone who pay for it. Not Russia.

  • @SovetskyySoyuzah Ok russia is a great country with great some good history but there is some history that isn't so good your great leader stalin the man that led the red army to victory against the german war machine in ww2 was 3x worse than hitler i mean that literally cause he killed 3x more people in his gulags he staved 20 million to death in the Ukraine and thats what happens when you live in a communist country

  • @koryworm My great leader? I love how you americans label people in order to judge them easily. Your overly exaggurated death count is just a joke. Capitalism has killed over 1 Billion people and Enslaves Billions more. Im sick of seeing your Anti-Left pigshit spewed out on every single page i go on. If you don't like Communism, then keep it to yourself you sad little fuck. Get a fucking life!

  • @SovetskyySoyuzah 1 billion you say name what countries years and how please tell me

  • @koryworm Simple. Look into your own History you Lazy Cunt.

  • @koryworm Yea i don't see anywhere in history where capitalism has killed a billion people your just an idiot

  • @koryworm Stalin killed an estimated 20 million of his own people, Hitler killed 6 million jews, and almost 30 million Soviets, 1 million American, British, Canadian, French soldiers, and of course the people that resisted him in German occupied territories.... I think this sums up who was worse. Don't get me wrong, I don't support Stalin either, he was an idiot from Georgia that was paranoid about his own people.

  • @Unit987654321 I still think stalin was worse than hitler simply because stalin killed 20million.....of his own people!! The idiot even purged the best and brightest of his own military.

  • @koryworm comparing stalin to hitler is idiotic and criminal. Stalin was a criminal in his own way but cannot be compared to maniac hitler who gassed millions of people and started world war 2.

  • @Ouija121085 The difference between Stalin and Hitler is Hitler picked out Jews, gays, and blacks where Stalin didn't give a fuck he killed over 25 million of his own people that weren't war casualties the man was pure evil he was worse than hitler

  • Guys as far as i noe AFGHANISTAN has been the grave yard of empires no one even conquered it not even Alexander r Ghangis khan sorry if the truth hurts so be it Soviet union was also defeated in Afghanistan

  • Wow, why can't Ameritard movie makers come out with a war movie that is this good? I mean, I watch most Ameritard war movies and get that cheap-cheesy feeling when I watch them, crappy acting, weak plot and so many repeated storylines that I want to puke. This movie had very good acting and a really believable cast of people spelling out the horror and drudgery of war. Only real

minus was the dubbing, should have been done with Russian accents, would have enhanced the experience, 8 out of 10.

  • @tickyul watch the movie JARHEAD

  • @MaSTeRReTaRD6697 What language is it in???

  • @tickyul LOL I can sense the sarcasm, that's pretty funny

  • @temperex Oh yeah, I saw it, pretty good. But Gyllenhall did not fit the part, seems out of place in the role of a Marine.

  • what ?? the ak 74 not accurate. from which planet do you come from if the soldier is really well trained (like russian) the ak 74 is the most accurate assaut rifle in the world and after that is aek 971

  • @giorev33661

About 'the ak 74 not accurate'. It's not AK-74(shot on the coin).

    It's wrong translate, 1:30 - Over here.

He say to russian 'eSVeDe sjuda'.

eSVeDe - abbreviation SVD, snaiperskaja vintovka Dragunova(literally 'Dragunov's sniper rifle'). Correct translation 1:30 - Give him a sniper rifle.

First shots was AK, last shot - SVD.

  • Comment removed

  • the ak74 is the best what ever every body sais (im not talking about the film) accurasy is better than the m16 and the russian training is really good

  • All I gotta say is W T F AM I WATCHING HOLLYWOOD MOVIES!!

Russian movies, Chinese movies, Korean movies and Japanese anime their all great a billion times better then Hollywood movies!

  • first of all we dont eat pig <<<<u motherfucker bitche now u listen to me u <<<<<<,russia were fucked off by afghans ok not by any others we fought n won no matter how many died in war but we got the victory r let me say we fucked off russians <<<<<<<<<<<<u fucking idiot ssnakessnake1,<<<<die SOVIET UNION BURNED IN THE HELL

  • @TheAfghan2020 FUCK YOU MORON USSR AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION ARE THE BEST YOU STUPID CAMEL THEN COMES BRASIL TRY TO TAKE ON BRASIL YOU MOTHERFUCKER

  • @TheAfghan2020 Sorry, you blind patriot but you are wrong, afghanistan already got conquired just after he appered

  • NO ONE EVER CONQUERED AFGHANISTAN

  • @TheAfghan2020 And now listen me stupid camel sandnigger diery muslim pig. We killed 1 million of stupid camels like you fucking uneducated animal. And lost only 13 000.

  • @TheAfghan2020

So all those isaf troops in it right now arnt an occupying army.

your a moron. Its is conquerd, the question is, for how long ?

  • Gioconda got cut off waaaaaaaaaaay to early...

    :'(

  • He lasted until the last battle besides this movie is very un Hollywood it has an un happy ending and I think he only killed one enemy that I noticed in the whole movie.I thought the medic guy was pretty cool and so was warrant officer Pogrebnyak(the bald guy) but they died as well.

  • @TheHondamonkey

It was still a shame he went though. He was one of the film's best characters. I think the characters are what made the film stand out from other war movies. These are people you could imagine meeting or already have met. We've all met a Vorobey or a Lyutyy somewhere.

  • i like the hidden message when the soldiers are saying that they are helping the afghan nation and then the command goes "fire!"

  • You, are a fucking RETARD. First, Soviet army was far better trained then Russian one in early 90's (in todays time, the training ain't bad at all in Rus army).

So you just shut up and go and learn something about what you are trolling about.

  • Sako TRG 42

  • During in whole history . only one country succeded rto conquer in afganistan.. it s great CHINGGIS KHAN AND MONGOLIANS.....

  • No, thats wrong motherfucker

  • As well as timurids, and moguls. So much for being unconquerable.

  • I love dragunov its the best rifle

  • Sorry. 6 KIAs and 28 injured.

  • Watch 9th company. 20 years later (in Russian: 9 рота. 20 лет спустя.), a movie about the real soldiers of the 9th company. On the 7th of January 1988 they were attacked by afgans at altitude 3234. 39 soldiers of the 9th company withstood 12 attacks in 2 days in a row. Only 6 KIAs and 12 injured.

  • "Over here" - loool ^) svd here!

  • Михаил Пореченков

  • Lol subtitles suck

  • only the arab who conquer afganestan in med ages and make it muslim country

and it ruled by arab for 700 years

  • lol 700? only few yrs and we threw u back to persia, and started building our own empires.

  • no man even when u builet ur empier

    it was fallow the order

first from madina and from damasqus and bagdad which was the kalifah empier

  • well i live in canada and i like the film take care in russia cool film :)

  • the subtitles are soooooo bad

  • great film

  • I find a link between 9th Company and Saving Private Ryan. It's about the soldiers' amulets. Remember the scene when Adrian Caparzo in Saving Private Ryan gives his crucifix to the small child, and then gets shot by a sniper bullet? The same situation happens here: soldier leaving Afghanistan gives his talisman to Lyuty, and then his plane gets shot down. I like those parts a lot, they make me think about human's lot, fate. And the soldier's one.

  • i agree :)

  • @hawkinho and the guy who remained until the end is suffering a bad case of survivor's guilt.

  • got mine on ebay no problem to canada its cool just like any other war movie but i like its made in russia

  • AK-74 has way better accuracy than AK-47 or even AKM

  • They should make more movies like this. This is a masterpiece

  • i totaly agree :)

  • cool scene i got to get this film for my collection

  • umm, hoping the translation is better? or are these the subtitle from the actual movie?

  • shit man, mine doesn't have english subtitles but i still love watching it & Grozovye Vorota. They'r 2 of my fav best war movies. I would love to see them in english subtitles :(

  • Where would I be able to find this movie?

  • it is a very good movie : very touching and it gave me the creapes afterworths (one off the best war-movies i ever saw)

  • The Sniperguy, "Gioconda" could'nt shoot a 2 meters tall Dsuhman? He got the machinegunner down in the first battlescene

  • Incorrect translation. "Vzvod" is a Platoon not a Squad.

  • The Greeks not only conquered Afghanistan they even established their own country there.

Here they can hit 50cm targets at 100 meters. But later in the movie can't hit 2 meter high targets at 20 meters. The Sniper guy can hit a 2cm kopeyka coin but can't hit an enemy from a shorter distance later in the movie.

  • the difference between war and practice is STRESS

  • VERY GOOD MOVIE 5*****, greatings from AMSTERDAM

  • epaulets with the blue line mean KGB

  • nice shot :D where can i get this mowie in polish? :P

  • Soviet Union "intervened" in Afghanistan when CIA began agitating local Muslims against the USSR and there was a threat that CIA trained Islamic Fundamentalists would begin attacking Soviet Muslim republics in Central Asia. After the Iranian Islamic Revolution the fear of a Muslim revolt grew and the Soviet Government strengthened an already present Soviet "Advisor" force in December 1979 with full Mechanized units, which overthrew the Afghan dictator and installed his cabinet members in power.

  • wow, in the US Army if you missed ONE shot, he will drill you for it, and he will never admit anything is good

  • At 00:38, the captions read: "international incumbency", but "internationalist duty" is more accurate.

  • I love those sniper rifles Dragunov or SVD

  • Comment removed

  • this movie was on Saturday in England, it was like 1am tho

  • cool, never knew this was out in english speaking countries

  • shit i wanted to get it it looks really good

  • Ive seen it 2 times , really good movie

  • I have DVD. I watched it about 5 times..

  • can u put it on youtube-PLEASE

im trying to find it, but i cant.

  • its on youku, same sort of quality you would find here

  • dude he didnt say cool, he said beautifully done! big difference...im a russian speaker so i know

  • He also said "Bring SVD here" not "Come here" or something similar...

  • where can i get this movie in english

  • u cant, uncle sam does not want u to...

  • Bit worrying their response to the intelligence officer's question of why they were going to Afghanistan- replace 'imperialism' with 'radical jihadism' and it would sound exactly like the reasons given for the current NATO deployment!

  • Hey, those the AK74 is that accurate, friends??????

  • It's an AK variant. Accuracy will be... moderate. Nothing great.

  • Nothing great you say? AK-74 can cause great damage, even if it is not accurate.

  • I was referring to the accuracy.

the 5.45x39mm round causes moderate damage, as far as military rifle cartridges are concerned.

The best thing about AKs are their unbeatable reliability, of course.

  • Oh, sorry, I mean it. Nice chatting with you, friend!

  • Ha! The only way a 5.45x39mm AK-74 round causes "moderate" damage is if you are wearing 30 layers of Kevlar.

  • this is moot, India was one of the few countries to not condemn the Soviets in Afghanistan. I know the Soviets committed atrocities etc. but in all honesty when it was a socialist state women were flying jets and working, if the Soviets won there would have been a liberal and modern society there, not the bloody Talibs. That is why India empathized with the Soviets, and it wasn't totally wrong to do so.

  • jprithvi, that you should piss off and shut up your mouth, you put your comments there ,i just replied to it. At least we havent been conquered and didn't serve to british impire for more than 150 year. What you have got 200ml people starving everyday and selling theyre kids. we have been fighting, but didn't sell our children, so keep your mouth shut and nobody will bother you

  • jpritvi, you must be dreaaming, that's afghans conquered India 40 times, Ahmad sha Baba, was his name and his sons, manny time conquered india that's why in indian language many dari words. Indians have been serving british impire for 150 years, don't talk lol, have a look in history books, who conqured who

  • vitualny, piss off. I never said India was unconquered, you guys are the one propagating the nonsense that Afghanistan was unconquered., which is simply untrue. Comparing Afganistan to India is a very unfair comparison, not only is it irrelevant to my point but also...come on now....when you guys get electricity there then you can come back on here and talk shit about others.

  • During the whole history no one ever succeeded to conquer Afghanistan No one, ever.

From Alexander the great to Genghis khan British Empire

Doesn't matter how strong the army are but for Afghans they are nothing to beat.

This man is very intelligent he recognized Afghanistan and Afghans. He is a commander but he knows how danger Afghans is against the invader I don't know why the leaders of the world don't accept this fact.

  • give this man a dragunov-sweet!

  • Just so u know taliban(Al-qaida) and mujjahede is the same. Its just CNN who changed the name on those.

  • ehm, no, you're wrong...

Alquaida is just one group of islamic fashists but there are other groups of people who call themselves mujahedwhatever... but aren't alquaida at all.

    And... second:

    taliban != alquaida

in afghanistan yes, but in other parts of the world, the taliban have nothing to do with alquaida... their money, people and intel comes from people from other parts of the world (mostly saudi).

  • A factual inaccuracy in the first portion of the clip. I don't belive that afganistan was never conquered. Alexander and his general Selucus, the mongols and the Indian mughals are just among a few that ruled afganistan. So yes, they have been under foriegn rule.

  • No sereusly. NOONE have ever conquered Afghanistan. There have been several wars over long time in Afghanistan / Pushtonistan. But noone ever conquered it. And now Americans is loosing there to :) Every day 1-3 hellikopters is getting shout down by mujjahede who are ussing stingers which usa sold to them back at 80s XD

  • Not true:) You can look it up yourself if you want. The Pushtoons have been conquered as recently as by the british. I belive it was part of British India wherein they drew the controversial durrand to divide and rule.

  • Dude.... belive me. NOONE have conquered Afghanistan. When British came there they where cuted their heads.... Usa tryes now. But they will fail like us. This is a contry where ppl would rather be killed insted of be occupated.

  • My friend they came but they never stay for longer and Afghans ruled India from Delhi to Mashhad Persia was ruled by Afghans. The mogul empire was created by Afghans Babur shah the founder of mogul empire was born in Fergana but spend his life in Kabul. All the moguls speak in Dari Persian even they was in India

  • Babur was Uzbek and of Mongol origin, not Afgan. Sorry to break your bubble. The rest of the Mughals were Indian and even Hindu on one side of their family.

  • I know he was usbek i said he was born in fergana which is in usbekstan but when he found the empire he was in afghansiatn there was no usbeks he prefered to be an afghan than usbek he spoke in Dari all his life even in india for 7 hundred years they spoke Dari the afghan language. the other thing is that in afghansitan there is 5 ethnics one of them is usbek Babur is one of them as well

  • After Babur Afganistan was ruled by five Indian emperors not to mention the kushans, selucuids, guptas, mauriyas, british and others. I don't know why there is this popular belief that Afgans were never conquered. That said, I do like afgans and hope they can achieve peace and make progress thats been eluding them for so long.

  • To jprithvi my friend what are you talking about Indians ruled Afghanistan they couldn't control their own country that why the afghans ruled India for centuries Even they put name of Hindustan which is in Farsi now you take note I tell you the name of those Afghans that ruled Hindustan if you want prove go to Wikipedia Sikandar Lodhi, In 1503, he build the city of Agra. Alauddin Hussain Shah,

  • Ibrahim Lodi, Ahmad Shāh Durrānī the children when cried in india their mothers told them be quite ahmad shah is coming then child stay calm. Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni, there is so many more I can't remember their names and all the moguls' emperors was form Afghanistan so never say that indian ruled Afghanistan even the afghans helped india to get

  • independent from British empire when the afghan king amanullha khan resigned india lost his dream to get independent I hear form a indian person because they waiting for him to helped them. There is a leader called Subhas Chandra Bose,he went to afghanistan for help then he went to Germany.

  • qaisaamir, Man I agree with you. There were many Afghan kings that ruled India. That does not mean they were never conquered. Yes, the Afghans are a proud people and always resisted invaders. But still there were many periods in history especially before Islam were they were defeated and ruled by others. Just saying like it is.

  • By the way Hindustan is Persia and India is greek. But among Indians it is known as Bharat. Hindustan is not an official name.

  • Hello my friend jprithvi I am just saying the fact I hope you don't mind but may be you are right as well the history is very long no one knows all of them. Persian is the main language in Afghanistan you know Rumi the most famous poet of the world he wrote all his poems in Persian in 1220 century he was from Afghanistan

  • So the Persian language started from Afghanistan then moved to iran and other places.

I must say one thing Afghanistan always been friend of India I love India I watch all the time boolywood movies.

  • You are right, Afghanistan has ancient friendships with India and we are still friends. We shouldn't be arguing!

  • Such as Russians had never lost a single battle there. The main idea is that none needs to conquer sand&rocks&heroin. This land has little value.

  • Nothing like War movie footage with EMO music...

  • Shittiest Russian movie ever. Aimed at the mass population - that never studied or fought in a war.

Want some real hand war accounts? Then forget about the action - forget about close combat. Read Tolstoy, and soldiers' memoirs

  • shittiest you say. hmm yeaa probably thats why this movie bacame BESTSELLER in Motherland. what do you know about Afganistan war? ask me i'll tell you a lot. my father my fathers friends went there...

  • Best seller only means popular among the population it doesn't make it historycally correct. Watch the movie with those family members and ask them if it really was like that. I've read Russian paratrooper feedbacks on this movie and they were very negative.

People are affraid to disagree with this movie because unconciously they are affraid to be thought of as not patriotic. In reality however those who fought in that war say this movie is nothing close to reality.

  • you know that it based on the reall story right? i saw that movie many times! when i say many i mean more than 5 times! anywais that's not the point. the members of 9th company were invited to the place where they were capturing the scenes. basicly almost half of the scenario was based on what those reall people sayed! u feel me? how many afgan veterans sayed that movie wasnt close to reality?? how many? 1? 3? 5? 10? 200? 30000? do you know them?

  • Nice Shot

  • Kamu on naher nado kamny i pustin, ne travi ne dereva. Za shto dralis?

  • wonderful movie.

  • not bad for a russian movie!!

  • I have this move with English subtitles. Video quality is about average, actually it's crappy, but it is only 430 Mb. If somewone want this - write me in my mailbox - I'll send you a link.

  • pass the link would be great cheers

  • First time they see a plane is when they fly to Afghanistan, oddly lying like cattle on the metal floor plate. Why does Praporschik Dygala(wearing a blue Airborne beret) repeatedly call them "desantnik"(paratrooper) if they obviously are not? In the wash bin scene he asks "what is a paratrooper"? True "desant" also applies to Russian Marines, but they are nowhere near water and the "Morskaya Pehota" wear black berets.

  • the movie know where near accurate hell only 4 people died real life. It was actual one most one sided battle in history

  • Yeah, but still. It's like 300. It's a good action flick.

  • You have to admit that it's more historically accurate than 300 though.

  • This movie was about the 345th Independent Parachute Regiment. It was formed by the Soviet government to fight in Afghanistan. The title "parachute" implies they be trained with parachutes, am I not correct? In this movie they never even SEE a parachute! What kind of Parachute Regiment spends most of their time molding a "chelen" out of plastic explosives? They don't even jump out of a helicopter once!

  • These were not Paratroopers, they never jumped out of an airplane or helicopter once!

That artist/Sniper could hit a 3cm coin but could not hit a 2 meter tall Dushman in many scenes.

  • paratroopers are used like regular infantry, they don't always enter combat airbourne

  • geez, just because they are paras dosn't mean that they HAVE to be inserted into the combat area by air...

  • Obviously there is a big difference between shooting at a coin and beeing shot at and have your friends dying while your trying to kill another human beeing.

  • Would a Soviet Officer really tell his troops this - that no one ever could ever conqueer their enemy? - No. This movie is fun to watch it's full of action, but history in it is an absurd piece of garbage made by an ignorant man.

  • Maybe the meaning is 'Where everyone else failed, we shall succeed'... I'm guessing, never seen the actual movie. But I certainly will .

  • The meanings was in other. He said it becose private ask him "And what a difference who we need to kill?"

  • That's because you don't know shit what you're talking about.

  • I think it was true. There was'not task to conqueer Afganistan.

  • DA!!!

    CCCP FOREVER!!!

  • spasibo

  • thanks for the clip. great film. i have the dvd, but russian subtitles, not english. i think i'll download it from bittorrent too, since i've already paid for the dvd.

  • I have this film, 8/10

  • The subtitles suck. The translation is war from right :/

  • I have to find this movie, it looks amazing.

  • I didnt think the unit in this film were paratroopers, but dont care MUST see this film

  • they were not paratroopers the soldiers that you see with the blue berrets later on in the film are airborne paratroopers

  • Russian Soldiers were EDUCATED,NICE,KIND AND VERY human.CUS I,m from Afghanistan i SAW them in that time.BUT American soldiers are very stupid, selfish and UNEDUCATED.((Do zdrastvoee TUT Saldate KOTORE Voevolee V Afghanistane !!! ))

  • Spasibo govoru za otca, cotory tam pogib.

  • that is show true my father served in that war and study everthing about culture to be respectful and nice.

  • cuz the USSR wanted well educated people, so the school were much better and taught way better. But here in North America they need more people for restaurants and construction. So thats probably the major difference (Cuz if u are well educated i doubt u would randomly want to kill people)

  • Russian Soldiers were EDUCATED,NICE,KIND AND VERY human.CUS I,m from Afghanistan i SAW them in that time.BUT American soldiers are very stupid, selfish and UNEDUCATED.((Do zdrastvoee TUT Saldate KOTORE Voevolee V Afghanistane !!! ))

  • Spasibo.

  • Russian Soldiers were EDUCATED,NICE,KIND AND VERY human.CUS I,m from Afghanistan i SAW them in that time.BUT American soldiers are very stupid, selfish and UNEDUCATED.((Do zdrastvoee TUT Saldate KOTORE Voevolee V Afghanistane !!! ))

  • You say this and your username is "NYPOLICE"? lol. Uneducated.. lol, the US has the most expensive education system and one of the world's highest literacy rates.

  • Actually its ten other countries have higher and yours education system is in rambles that why most people are in private schools( rich)

  • were can i down load this movie

  • the best movie i ever saw, feel guilty i downloaded it on Bit torent but thats the only way i can get it pluss it had Subtitles.

  • Christ!! i must get this movie.

  • Awesome! Where can you get the version with subtitles?

  • Woah, Subtitles! Where did you find this version? Is it in the USA now?
