Bhavna - This is one of the most easiest chakri recipe I hae seen. Thank you for sharing it. Only one little problem - Is it white chilli powder or is it white pepper?
As an aside, that must be the quickest your hair has grown in!! You start with shoulder length and then it gets to mid back at the end!!
Yes, easy but takes little practice while making them. And actually it is white chili powder not pepper powder. In india, baby hot chilis are dried and then powder is made. Green turns to yellowish while when completely dry. But if you don't have while chili powder, simply use red chili powder. Enjoy!
...trust me its not easy to exhibit cooking at the same time be nice and clear. it takes a lot of effort to be clear, concise, presentable and smiling...all at the same time. Bhavna has made a great effort in helping us a very complicated dish and lets all focus on learning a recipe rather than how a person's accent is.
Bhavna - pls keep up your effort, I am eager to learn from you. Trust me you are doing very well:-))!!!
Thank you for your support. I always try my best to show recipe than anything else. My focus is on how I can make better so that whoever out there is looking to learn recipe can understand the direction of recipe properly. But once in a while I do always get people like "roselawyer" but I don't ever get discourage to share my passion. So keep enjoying the recipes.
I agree with you. She is a great chef. Sad part is not many people know how hard it is to do all these and keep sticking around with her accent...I absolutely love her accent and all her recipe shows...
Thank you for suggestion. On the box it says machine so there is nothing wrong saying it machine. And also mind your language...nobody has problem with my accent, it you visit this channel properly, you will find that discussion about my accent is over...so please go somewhere else to take off your temper if you had a bad day...May god give you some sense of how to behave...he has alreayd given me natural accent...so
I think you got great slap on your face with Bhavna's spiritual reply. I think you need to know the meaning of I-d-i-o-t...Not many people know the meaning of this word and keep using everywhere...
What you talking about dude? She is speaking naturally....I think you need to go and see the doctor since you are not able to see the difference between natural and artificial....sorry to say that!
@roselawyer You really need an anger management class, many people instead of saying "tool gadget" will say "Machine" or "Maker". About the accent...God gave everybody their own unique accent and you can't take it away from them.I hope you learn something from this. And once you, do apologize to SuperVeggieDelight @ once.
Thanx for your support but I do not expect any apology from these kind of people so just forget about it and move on. Life is beautiful so enjoy without wasting time for people who just begging for attention for just nothing. Enjoy!
That's good question...people usually want crispy one...I usually make with sour cream so it's crispy. Try with water instead of sour cream. You might get harder one...good luck. I will try my best to reserch on it. Thank you
It would be really challenging without chakri maker. But still you can give it a try with something which has a holes in it and when you press it comes out as chakri. you might not get shape like this but it won't make any difference in taste..so good luck..feel free to ask if more question..
Yes, this recipe takes practice to make chakri. Make sure that your dough is good and when you lift the chakri from wax paper, be very careful. Also there is special skill to put them into the fryer. Please watch video again and practice will give good result.
Yes, yogurt can be used. But be careful when you nead the dough. Dough should be hard enough to make chakri and also would like to let you know that result of crunchyness is different.
That's a good question. I am not quiet sure whether you can find in indian groceries or not. But I bring them form India. You can use red chilli powder instead.

Would it be possible to bake them instead of fry them?
XxDarkRaverxX 2 years ago
Hi
You can try, I have never bake them. Try with just one or two chakris. Spray little bit of oil and bake. Thanx
