The guys there are those who faught in the time of the WW II (check the guns and other equipment shown) so they faught in the nazi-regime under Hitler. And it is (a sad) fact that most of those guys were nazis and not only simple soldiers. That was the problem with Hitlers ideology... :/

The German Army in Stalingrad began to hate Hitler as time moved on, and the Gerneral in command did not accept Hitler's order to shoot himself after being promoted to Field Marshal. Many Officer's in the Wermarcht hated Hitler and attempted to kill him on a number of occasions. But the SS being the largest force in Germany, they could not do anything.

the Imperial Guard also Field Auto guns which are basicly a future version of the M 16 but bigger but its not good for extended patrols or extended fighting and from what ive read its a real bitch to carry the ammo around thus las guns tho les power full and dont have the raw kinetic punch of auto guns there power packs can be recharged by the sun or a heat source so it makes it easier for extended patrols and other duties but the las gun have some advantages
