  • @KarinChan021 look on amazon.

  • i feel just like coraline. My parents are almost always on their computers working, and don't really pay attention to me that much. there's a small door in my home, and a strange stray black cat in my neighborhood. sometimes i even feel bored and lonely. i also like to put on my raincoat and boots and go exploring outside. and there's a REALLY annoying boy who lives next door who has a crush on me. :/ (kinda like how wybie annoys coraline) and for my new school, we have to wear uniforms!

  • @KarinChan021 You can order it on eBay:D

  • I've always had a rabbit doll with button eyes. After seeing this I wondered if I might be living with the Other Mother.

  • I love how similar Coraline is to Alice in Wonderland. In both, an eccentric young girl who is dissatisfied with her reality follows a rodent to a small door, which is only opened by a strange key, and finds that it is a portal to a fantastic and bizarre world which is infinitely more interesting than her home and which contains characters who each reflect people she knows in her real life. And in both, she is guided by a talking cat and an evil villainess wants the heroine dead.

  • @MsSmokingCaterpillar i thought the same exact thing! i'm doing my silhouette project in art based on that.

  • @MsSmokingCaterpillar You could also say that both stories are similar to the Wizard of Oz as well.

  • @KarinChan021 lol i made my own when i first saw this movie and i still have her :D

her name is CoraSall (Coraline and Sally from nightmare before christmas)

  • Do yoy have the soundtrack when Coraline is running away from the cat

  • @MrShadamyluver I think this is it, if you mean when she first hears the cat. Try listening at 1:47 :)

  • @KidGerravy Oh, hehehe. Thnx ^^;

  • I don't think this is creepy at all...

  • I get goosebumps at 1:16, this version of Coraline's theme sounds really beautiful.

  • the language sounds kinda like someone threw together a bunch of security passwords you have to type in on the computer lol. Like the ones on youtube when they think your a bot XD

  • @zeke4710 its your MOMS LANGUAGE!!!!

  • @zeke4710 it's gibberish

  • this movie has the BESTEST music EVERRR

  • @zeke4710 Yup. Jibberish. All the words in any songs from the Coraline soundtrack are jibberish.

  • @KoHiNeKYOU it's another language dumbass

  • @RyanStokes3 No, it's confirmed nonsense. They told the kids singing it that it was French or something, but it's definitely just pretty sounding gibberish.

  • They did such a good job making gibberish sound like French or a real language.

  • 2 people have button eyes.

  • sounds like it ses- WE LICKKKKKKK SOME BREADDDDDD

    at 1.28 - 1. 33

  • I Bet You If They Sing That Live, It Would Be A Different Version Of What We're Listenign To O.O Since The Words Are Gibberish...

  • @melodymecklame Then gibberish is a language

  • @DoominglyRapids I Wish I Can Talk Gibberish...Shibbeedooda. :D♥

  • ☻_☻

  • what part of Coraline can you listen to this music?? I can't remember! :(

  • @GilliesL near the beginning when she first moves in and grabs a stick that was poison oak and starts "water witching" then it leads to the part where she first tuns into wyby (idk how to realy spell his name) lol i like this music too

  • @TheTianananana three.

  • @Nikkirocks9 well, since its jibberish, its hard to sing. also, eeeevery time they reused the song, they had to re sing it!

  • I love this tune; it's definitely Coraline's leitmotif ~

  • @Nikkirocks9 oh. jeez, they reuse the songs so many times! at least they're good!

  • @Nikkirocks9 oh, like when they're unpacking?

  • hmm... what part of the movie is this one in?

  • I love Coraline!!! Me encanta Coraline y el soundtrack es genial

  • all coraline songs are so good. I love Alone. Its so peaceful and it is such a dark song. :)

  • @Felixthetalkingcat

Makes us reflect about the usual and common thoughts of darkness. Usually it's said that you'll find comfort in light, but... it sounds just out of fear to me. I actually find peacefullness in the darkness. It's like i can become one with myself easier than in light.

At the end of it all, darkness and light is the same.

    Just saying... lol ;P

  • @Felixthetalkingcat

Did you know that Exploration is the full version of Alone? They're the exact same song! Exploration, Alone, and Installation are all the same song! It's so weird, i want to say stupid but i dont think i should ☻_☻

  • The Hand and Ghost Children are the same.

The Supper, Cocobeetles, and a couple of others are the same.

Ghost Children and The Hand are the same.

Installation, Exploration, Alone, The Party, and In The Bed are the same.

The Theatre and Sirens of the Sea are the same.

Dreaming and Mechanical Lullaby are the same.

  • yea, exactly, but why would they make some of the songs the same?

  • @paramore1roxx - I think they do it to help people Identify the song with a certain scene

  • ooo, ok, thanks

  • It's called "motif" :P

Most movie soundtracks are the same - they have one or two themes, and the rest of the soundtrack is just variations.

  • ok, thankss

  • @paramore1roxx Recurring themes occur in many movies, like Star Wars.

  • @paramore1roxx they do it partly to make the movie flow better so its not so choppy. They also do it to help people connect that sound or tune to the movie. And as SakuraJurai said, so it helps people identify it with a certain scene.

  • @paramore1roxx

they make the songs similar becuase it keeps a theme throughout the film.

that is why it is composed the way it is, it's also seen as a theme tune for Coraline XD bit of both

  • @ROFLGIRL101

ooohhhh, okayye i get it haha thanks.

  • @paramore1roxx

Its called a motif; most movies have them. They help you identify with the characters and certain similar events. For instance, this is Coraline's motif; you can hear it in different forms (In The Bed, Exploration, Alone) depending on her mood. If you listen to any soundtrack closely enough you'll find that most of the scores are just warped versions of the same song. It's so artful!

  • @00ammy00

Ahh, that is very artful! Very clever and smart, I like it haha.(:

  • @PurpleMysticDew they are the same theme but they have differences. example: listen to dreaming and mechanical Lullaby. they start out exactly the same but mechanical lullaby ends with an instrumental part that gives it the name change.

  • i thought the same thing

  • Wow...1:16-1:40 That was absolutely spectacular singing :)

  • love this moovie! i watched it 8 times and got a coraline shirt from ebay!! C=

  • i love the movie!

  • What is the song that the Other Mother hums ???

  • Dreaming :D

  • Yes it is! I was really surprised to hear her hum it every time!

  • Mechanical lullaby/Dreaming

    ☻_☻

  • Erm... do you know the stupid questions-hour is over?

  • The choir that sings it is from Nice, with the hungarian orchestra, so possibly a mix of all...

  • The language is Gibberish. A fictive language with non existing words. Often this sounds strange but in this case its very well done

  • It's quite genial to make up the lyrics.. since thenn noeone understands it c:

it makes it.. mystical. and often a lot more pretty <3

  • Looking on Wiki it says the lyrics are made up :S a nonsense language in otherwords lol

  • @BrandonAHawk I thought it was Esperanto

  • @BrandonAHawk I'd like to think it's the rats' language. :D

  • @BrandonAHawk wiki is a lie

  • I hear no German! But wonderfool song! *-*

  • NO.

  • Thanks for the songs

  • Some of it is french and some of it's in german. Most of it's made up words.

  • Really? I speak German and understand absolutly nothing. I too think it's made up words.

  • it could be a mixture of french (gentil), english (somewhere) and italian (felice)...

  • Perhaps because the singer is not of German origin and has a thick accent? =o

  • It's not German.

  • You moron! Reread my comment and think about what you just said. >_>

  • Reason I wrote what I wrote was cos I was seeing the comments out of order and thus, didn't see your reply ... Also, I didn't actually reply to what I replied. But of course, you have to go and call a total stranger a moron without knowing them or knowing anything about them. Guess that makes you think you're smart. Moron yourself.

  • why do they have the same lyrics as the other song? not like a have a prob with that they both sound cool

  • It's Coraline's theme, it's basically the motif of the movie and plays differently each time.

  • My very favorite part of the song is from 1:49 to the end.

  • i wonder if the book is better because the movie was fantastic! next time i go to the bookstore i'm reading this one!

  • I read the book first and it's AMAZING. I definitely suggest it!

  • the book is pretty good. i have it. just the picture of other mr b when he turns into this ugly thing the drawing looks freaking scary!!!

  • Magic dowsing rod....show me.....the well!!!

  • Sounds a lot like french.

  • There's a little door in my house and inside...

Is a load of insulation and boxes

  • Those boxes contain spy dolls with button eyes! Don't open it!

  • This Movie couldent be Better!!!

  • I agree. People who don't speak another language don't know that. Kudos

  • Try Hungarian

  • This is right after Dreaming plays ^_^ when Coraline goes to find a well with her dowsing rod :)

  • It's also in Latin.A couple of word's.

  • REally? I thought it might've been welsh or something. Icelandic. Tolkienish languages.

  • yeah i know! This is in the beginning when Coraline's taking that poison oak and then trowing a stone on the cat^^ Before she meets Wybie!

  • I thought that was Exploration... Hmm, you probably know better.

  • Exploration is played during Coraline looking for windows, doors and blue things. This song is a variation on it..

  • dont worry

  • This is when she's looking and exploring her house I think.

  • It does! For real!

  • SPOILERS

I think this might be from the scene where her real Mom first opens the door to the scene where she's falling asleep in her new room to find those mice.

  • is that a harp? because i think it might be my calling!

  • yeah i just love it but still i like the part of wen itz sommalir 2 dreaming

  • "Coulais's score features choral pieces sung in a nonsense language"

    - Wikipedia

  • when i her this i just crying idk why

  • But its a happy song :)

  • yes buts thats wat makes it sad special beutiful like a lualby like a river of hope

  • wow! but it isn't really a ha ppy song..

  • yeah but wat do u mean it isent a happy song???? i think it has hope more than all

  • This song is also my fave like Dreaming. ;) I like when the choir sings. By the way, they ARE singing in Hungarian because on the Soundtrack it says Hungarian Symphony Orchestra

  • yes but it also says that its the chilren choir of nice, so they could be singing french as well....

  • if it's hungarian why can i recognise some english words?

i think it's just gibberish, look for some of the songs' lyrics

  • This song is after the mechanical lubally, in the film after other mothers hands, it shown the workers walking in and out of the house and Coraline with parents who have just moved in.

  • whats the song when the title is shown?

  • this sounds just like dreaming?

  • Why is it called Installation? It makes me think of installing computer games lol.

  • This is the scene directly after the doll is sent out. The Joneses have moved in, "installing" themselves in their new home, and we are introduced to Coraline.

  • Oh I see. Thanks :D

  • hahaha yeah, but installation is reference to a latin phrase :P

  • This Song is brilliant

  • If the vid is Coraline eyes got buttoned then the song is Dreaming :D
