I am curious how the isolated brass track would sound. It seems to me that the song becomes more epic the moment it is introduced. Could you upload it separately?

@dead3y3 Well, it would be a little bit of work. Let's say all the instruments are not on the same project. And I've putted brass at the beginning were they're not supposed to be (I've realised it when I listened the original track on my CD).

And a heavy brass section often bring epicness, but I'm sad to see this kind of orchestra is forgetting the woodwinds to make sound much more the brass, the strings and the heavy percussions. And in a way, I like this kind of track ^^

@LuiDeca Well, that depends. Cubase is cool for me, because I can compose, make sound design and mix (even mastering) on it, but I know a lot of people that are working with Logic and Protools. I'll say Logic is more convenient for the composing part, Protools the mixing and audio one, and Cubase is multipurpose.

And it also depends on your VSTi. I could have done this cover on FL Studio or Logic, but I'm a Cubase man (and I don't have the other softwares ^^)

@BillieNat why not u take the choir from the original and place it in the song? i find the quality of the original song is pretty shitty. The instruments did not sound sharp and high quality as other soundtracks. The choir part is good though in the original

And the instruments from the original (which are plugs as well) have a really great sound. You can recognize the horns from Jeremy Soule because they have a very distinctive color, and I love that.

@bladesoftheprotoss I think the two themes are different and the Skyrim's one is not trying to be better than the morrowind's theme. It's like a rearrangement, but more in the Skyrim spirit, like heavy and really epic. The morrowind's theme is more calm, magic and melancholic.
