  • This will take some practice :)

  • can you take your shahada in English?

  • @Tiffany6480 hi^^ well you can do that but it must be after that in arabic to become a muslim ^^ ^^

  • @Tiffany6480 the imam will say the shahada and you repeat it if you're worried. if you say a wrong word no one tells you off or anything lol. but its a good idea to practice beforehand in my experience. x

  • WOW = Masha' Allah great & helpful lesson 4 those ppl who don't speak Arabic .... love - love - love it :)

    Jazak Allah 5ayran bro

  • Thank you so much for this.

  • can some non muslim great a muslim "assalam alaykum"

and he reply to non-muslim in wa alaykum assalam?

or in vice vera, muslim great to non-muslim.

is it possible in islamic regligion rule?

  • @beensolongg Muslims have to reply "salaam " from a non-Muslim just as if he or she were a Muslim.

but it's not preferred for Muslims to initiate the greeting of "Salaam" to non-Muslims, I mean only when conditions call for it or make it necessary.

you can find more info here :

    cutt.us / greeting ( without spaces)

  • Keep it coming more.

:( no no! God has not abandoned you. God only tests those that he love's. he 's always there to support us, if only we open our hearts to Him. I hope you are ok and get through whatever is troubling you.

    God Bless. xXx

  • Allah, Allah, why have you abandoned me?

  • Great video, thanks! I wouldn't mind at all if it were just a little slower.

  • Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I first saw you on a link that brought me to NYC video, I dont have any idea how's muslim in US until I heard your voice doing adzan, subhanallah you have a beautiful adzan, my body trembled eventhough I hear it 5 times a day in my country, it's very beautiful. And also you have a nice arabic pronunciation, subhanallah. Greetings from Indonesia brother.

  • jazaka allahu al ferdaws...

  • love this video...

    god bless your soul :D

  • oh my god, you never blink haha, great video btw

  • I'm a revert of almost 2yrs.My son is 11 and now that I've gotten myself on a learning schedule it's time to turn my attention to him.I'm going to show him this video. It will help him to get more acquainted with Islamic vocabulary.Plus I want to start teaching him and his younger sister how to do dhikr. And this will help them both to understand what they are saying.Jazakum Allaah khair.

  • @dawahaddict

this has been really helpful. I'm a hijabi but Christian so get confused with being Muslim. I found out its acceptable for me to respond with an Islamic greeting from dr zakir naik, but could never work out if I just repeated salaam alaikum or if it was something else.

  • @iamellala

Alhamdulillah! I wish you well as a new Muslim. Inshallah, may you be granted many rewards.

  • thank you so much for posting this video, I am going to convert to Islam soon and I am trying to learn as much as I can! keep up the great work (:

  • @iamellala are you a muslim now? in the umbrella of brotherhood/sisterhood

  • @ShiyakAb no i am not yet, my boyfriend of 5 years is muslim and i plan to convert when we are ready to get married. i am only 20 now though so it wont be for quite some time yet, but that leaves me plenty of time to learn all i can and embrace islam.

  • @iamellala yeah but if you are convinced, then do it quick, because you never know when the death will come. you can see the video of dawahaddict 'you could die tomorrow'.

I hope i am not pushing you too much, Zajakum allah khair

  • Great video! I'm not a muslim but I love these phrases!

  • @SumireIsrafel why not you try to read Q'uran and read it. If you like the phrases you may like Q'uran, the word of Allah

  • MaaShaaAllaah!

I am a Muslim convert aswell and I remember hearing Subhana Wa ta'ala and thinking umm who is that ? haha. Even though I've been Muslim for about 9 months and I know many phrases there was one in here "azza wa jal"

    Jazakallahu Kheir

  • Very cool. I really liked it. Good job. We all start somewhere.

  • Great videoo brother! i think you may have forgoten Allahu Akbar.

  • thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great video brother!

  • Ur videos mashallah! And u don't have an accent while saying these phrases....mashallah again :) Salam

  • that really make all the peaple understand what we are saying ... jazaka allaho khayrane

  • I guess you missed out "Fee Amanillah"

which means '(be) with the safety of Allah'. It is used like goodbye is used by English speakers.

  • Ma Sha Allah..! Keep sharing Brother, JazaakAllah Khair.

  • I only can say Bismillah, Alhamdulilah, MashAllah and SubhanAllah, 4 phrases :)

  • Hadiths say to cut your moustach, and let your beard grow brother. Salaam.

  • @PatrickDavidF Its a must to have a beard but the sunnah is the length.....he has a beard and his moustache is cut, it doesnt hang over his lip.......

  • God bless you for your efforts.

    1. The correct phrase is "salamun alaykum", not "as-salamu alaykum". Please check out noble verses 6:54, 7:46, 13:24, 19:47, 28:55, and 39:73. "As-salam" is one of the names of God.

    2. When you recited your "shahadah" in Arabic, you did not mention "salallahu 'alayhi wa salam" after saying the name of Muhammad, yet you did when you said it in English. You will not find this "shahadah" phrase in the Quran. Please see 37:35 and 47:19.

    Peace and love to all.

  • Ay I'm goin to Dunken Donuts, Insha'Allah, do you want anything? lol Mashallah!!!

  • @2011Nikkita try keepvid.com - you can download videos in different formats, and they have a new setting that can download to .mp3 (though I haven't tried that one yet.)

  • Assalaamu Alaikum... this video is super great.. mashAllh

  • Walakikum assallam, Jazakallah for posting I was just answering one of my inshallah new Muslim friends when they asked me what alhamdulillah means and subhanallah I stumbled across this vid, jazakallah once again for posting. I think another good one would be radiallahhu anhu (i hope I spelt that correctly),

  • you are amazinnnnnggg. woots. ;)

  • Wow! So how many years have you been a Muslim convert? :)

  • What about "Allah Hafiz"! "God be with you" said in parting like when you are hanging up the phone saying bye to a loved one.

  • Assalaamu 'alaikum.

When exactly do you use Allahuakbar?

  • Jazakum Allahu firdaws (^^)

  • Oh God, this video made LOL. Sapana watala?? ROFL

  • Great job! we want more from you -

  • Thank you so much for this video. I teach religious education and I try to do justice to the key arabic phrases when teaching Islam but I really needed it broken down for me. "Allah subhanahu wata'ala" is definitely going to be the death of me.

  • Salam peter, some of the phrases I didn't know at all such as "Jazakum Allah Firdaws" and "JazakAllahu Khair", and another one for "you're Welcome" I never use those phrases. Thanks for sharing.

  • you look like a pathan brother. Where were your forefathers from?

  • @dhyleck If im not mistaken, he is half caucasian and half Jews, maybe Ashkenazi Jews. But do not worry, Muslim is not about blood but about faith, I always admired him as a Muslim.

  • @snoiprocs16 I completely agree with you brother. Allah Hafiz, Wasalaam

  • The Proper Denfinition of La ilaha ilallah is ' There is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah'

  • جزاك الله خير أخي

    Jazakallahu khayr brother ..

  • trolls? LOL

  • Jazakallah khair ;) I learned so much and the proper way to use them!!

    Salam alaykum!

  • masha Allah brother!! :) Jazakum Allahu khair, I actually learned the proper meaning of some words that I just said without really knowing.

  • Islam is beautiful, Masha Allah!!! I really love our insight jokes! ^^ lol Salam wah aleykoum :)

  • Assalamu Alaykum

JazakAllahu Khayr - is for a person

Jazakum Allahu Khayr - is for a group (more than one person)

Correct me if I am wrong insha'Allah

  • @yafees1 yep.

Jazakallahu khayr - is for one person who's male, grammatically speaking.

Jazakillahu khayr - is for a woman.

Jazakumallahu khayr. - is for all male or mixed group of people

Jazakunnallahu khayr. - is to a group of women.

  • @crazylilafghanwaffle Salaam Alaikum, Yes grammatically speaking it is correct... but in usage it is normal and correct to use "Jazakum Allaho Khair" for any person. Just as you say "Salam Alaikum" (which grammtically is for a group) to one person as well. I am not sure but some people say it is because you are also addressing the person's angels.

  • mashallah bro nice vedeo

  • machallah

  • video

  • great

  • Beautiful video bro, mashallah:)

  • This made me smile..MashaAllah :)

  • Jazakum Allahu Khair. This was a great video :)

  • Let me share some advice with my brothers and sisters in Islam. Don't waste your time with trolls. Spend that time instead sharing Islam with people who are actually interested, and there are plenty of them insha'Allah. :-)

  • @dawahaddict : Thanks brother...I agree ith what u say as I use tob puzzled when I st converted to become a Muslim, however i made me more eager to learn & love Islam.

  • @dawahaddict Who's Sapana Watala? ok m not making a joke but that was kinda lol =) may allah bless u

  • @dawahaddict another point , r u sure it's slave not worshiper?

  • @itzbettybenz

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said:

"Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised Jesus, the son of Mary, for I am only a slave. So call me the slave of Allah and Messenger of Allah." - [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

there is nothing wrong with being called slave, as a matter of fact, its an honor, because worshiper is just someone who justs worships, but a slave obeys EVERYTHING the master commands him to, in other words, we obey Allah's every command..like we are to.

  • @SangitaKalia thnx for the tip jazak allah khayran

  • @SangitaKalia Peace be upon you Betty. Christian not only prays Jesus, we adore him. and being slave is not bad if you are slave of love of god. However being children is different. Check this out, If you are a master (pretending) would you give your heritage to your slaves or to your children? the answer is obvious so being children is not bad, in fact is better. And also children reasons. the slave does not reason just obey

  • jezakellah you made me cry!

  • Oh, and, by the way, this man in the video basically admits that there is no such thing as free will in Islam.

He says it's all god's decision.

  • @Mattyb88ful u r a kinda of moron! have u just simply came to life!

man is nothnig! go out one night and see the sky! and observe the planet u live relative 2 others it is nothing! and u r nothing realtive 2 ur house let alone the earth! nothing living on nothing!

    thinking of himself as everything!

    u better know ur orign!

    u better know ur distination!

  • @MrHangool

Yeah, I am the moron. Me and the vast majority of scientists in the world (Stephen Hawking, Einstein and et ceteta) who are atheists are the morons.

We are morons and you're smart, right? HAHA.

  • @Mattyb88ful dude! Stephan Hawking$einstien! though i respect them! they r nothin' when it comes 2 truth! whey Hawkins don't stay healthy and needs help! why his smartness don't help him! why einstien died and didn't sustain life? why didn't his smartness eledud him death? you appriciate their work! don't the God created all deserve knowing and appriciation! before you become like them! find a way! NOTHING COMES FROM NOTHING! OR TELL ME WHERE U FROM? DON'T SAY EVOLUTION!
  • @MrHangool

Yes - the vast majority of scientists in the world who are atheists are stupid - you are smart.

    Give me a fucking break.

  • @Mattyb88ful You are an atheist I assume? Fine, ignore God for a bit. Generally speaking we are created very deterministically. For example, where you are born, your gender, your race, your social status, wealth, general inclinations, etc are all chosen for you without your say. For the most part they are out of your control when in fact they shape around 80% of who you are. In short, life is like this. You are a rat in an already designed cage, your free will is what piece of cheese you eat.

  • @DanialWali

Do (a) I decide to eat the apple before god knows I’m goin to eat it or (b) does god ‘know’ I’m going to eat it before I decide to eat it? If (a) then god is not all-knowing. He found out I was going to eat the apple AFTER I made that decision. If (b) then I don’t have free will. God has decided that I will eat the apple. Oh, and don’t bother responding with a comment like ‘God didn’t decide, he just knew that you will eat it. How can God ‘know’ something that I haven’t decided?

  • @Mattyb88ful Its (b) and no you still have free will. Let me pose to you a hypothetical. Lets say a man were to travel back in time to a match between team x and team y. The man knows team x wins because he knows this result being from the future. However, the man's knowledge had no effect on the output of the game. Team x won because their score was better not because the man said so. In short, God's pure knowledge bears no impact on the result. He doesn't decide, you do. He simply knows.

  • @Mattyb88ful Its (b) and no you still have free will. Let me pose to you a hypothetical. Lets say a man were to travel back in time to a match between team x and team y. • @DanialWali

    That's not a legitimate comparison.

That man is GOING BACK IN TIME. So, the time traveller knowing that you're going to eat the apple doesn't impact on your decision.

However, you believe that god was there before you were created. You believe that He created you. So, you couldn't have decided to eat the apple before it before God 'knew' it.

  • @Mattyb88ful ''this man''? I assume thats how all you americans speak.

  • @RuriGokou15

    I'm actually English/Turkish, not American.

Secondly, you insult Americans, yet the Muslim speaker in this video is American.

  • @Mattyb88ful this is seriously a moronic argument that little kids start, are the two of you five year olds?

  • @ibnakhal

To which 'argument' are you referring?

  • @Mattyb88ful just about every single argument here thats riddled with profanity, slandering and all other sorts of comments, racist or no. Seriously, religion should not be debated or argued about, to each his own my good man.

  • @ibnakhal

The problem is that most religious people have great difficulty abiding by the 'to each his own' rule.

As far as they are concerned they are right. End of. Submit or else.

  • @Mattyb88ful sadly that is the truth, simply because our forefathers grew up in closed societies, and as a result this is what we have

  • your videos are amazing masha'Allah. may Allah reward you !

  • @ mattyb88full lol Allah is the only god so why would we speak of anyother? you contradict yourself. shame on you.

  • @ mattyb88full the language of heven is arabic you dont need to be arabic to speak it, who is dumb it is a universal language, did you not know your language was latin the hebrew, think befor you speek. i will try to simplify for you Allah means (god) you cannot change it to gods or goddesses.

  • May Allah reward u

  • Don't forget the important saying of Allah Akbar before any beheadings.

  • I love all your videos..You are amazing. I am learning a lot about Islam and Im not even a Muslim.

  • NICE

  • ..why do so many people have to be hateful towards each other? :/

  • Thank you, brother.

I really enjoyed your video, even though Arabic is my first language!

You are very talented in front of the camera, ma sha'allah.

    :)

  • Salaam, hey, I think you forget BrakAllahu feekum

  • "ultimately it's Allah who made it happen"

So, basically, there is no such thing as free will. I am glad Muslims have finally accepted that.

  • @AAS3100

"Allah is trhe bname of our god"

Oh, really? I was told that the word 'Allah' is simply the Arabic word for god. It is not actually the Muslim god's name. That is why I don't understand why people who are not Arabic refer to their god as 'Allah'. Why don't English or American Muslims just refer to their god as 'god'? Why do they use the Arabic word?

  • Dumb Muslims always go on about how the word 'Allah' is just the Arabic word for god and not a special word for god, but then why do they insist on calling their god 'Allah' when they are not Arabic themselves?

This moron in the video is from America so why doesn't he say god - which is the English word for god - instead of using the term 'Allah'?

  • @Mattyb88ful generally in religious dialogue we call god "Allah" so we know that the definition is bound to One God only, the creator of the universe. In America you say "In God we trust" but to many the term "God" has the interpretation as having a son, and being part of a trinity. This is ofcourse incompatible with Islam so instead of saying God we generally say Allah for clarification purposes. A Muslim can use the term God provided he/she has the correct intention.

  • @DanialWali

'God' is just the English word for 'Allah' - 'Allah is the Arabic word for 'god'. Is this not true?

So, if Islam is a global religion and not an Arab religion, then, for example, Turkish Muslims should say 'Tanri', English (and other English speaking) Muslims should say 'God', Arabic Muslims should say 'Allah' and et cetera.

    Otherwise,

  • @Mattyb88ful This is true in the generic sense. So if I as a Muslim say "thank god" I can either say that term or use a term such as khoda, rabb, gotte, dieux, etc depending on my language. That is fine. But in religious dialogue, where the definition of God needs clarification, Allah is used as this definition of a diety is defined throughout the Quran and is known as the Islamic definition of "God". Many non-Arab muslims use other terms for God but in prayer it is Allah for obvious reasons.

  • Barak Allah Feek , it's a common term ,the meaning . May Allah bless you . using by scholars much. particularly some one is doing a good thing like you bro , the respond of this term " Feek Tabarak Allah"May Allah bless you too .

and for you bro .Barak Allah Feek on such a wonderful clip

  • jazakum allah

I watch this video over and over for the proper pronunciation. You speak so clearly and helped me out so much!!

*I would like the phrases to be shown a little longer as you continue to talk about about each one so you can continue to repeat it while you talk with the spelling still on the screen.

    asalaam alaikum

  • Comment removed

  • Youre accent dont match ur look.

  • Heres an islamic pharse---death to infidels.

I am muticultured half brown half white and you Muslims are a disgrace to all foreigners and people everywhere on the planet.

Get out of the west and hang a homosexual when you get home. You "people" and your fake prophet are disugsting.

  • @Alexplus20 I see your emotion of fear. If you want to understand more and feel more secure about Islam please do a little research and read from some good Islamic sites.

Killing for any creature (animals and humans) who didn't harm anyone is prohibited. So this term you used is wrong.

It is funny but please look at yourself because you are just a racist. This racism is also prohibited in Islam and I think in most of the globe. It is even worse than killing because you spread hate.

  • @simpleOgre multicultured people can be racist? Thats new. Come to Britain and see for yourselves what you Muslims are doing to this country. One where my mums family have lived in for over a thousand years. Go to Luton and see the Hell hole that you Muslims have turned it into. Luton is renowed for being a hotbed for islamic extremism. Go to London and if your white just wait for the inevitable abuse you get from the Muslims. I have a white friend who was spat on by a Muslim .

  • @Alexplus20 I won't defend any Muslim. I only can defend Islam. I can try to remind Muslims to do the right thing. Just because you feel some Muslims abuse Islam to server their agenda that doesn't mean Islam is bad.

Instead of attacking all Muslims learn their religion basics and remind them of that. If someone is abusing his religion he should be ashamed.

  • @simpleOgre Oh but I have learned their religeon from my friend from pakistan who was brought up Muslim but is now Atheist. I have read your Qu'ran and Hadiths for myself. I would post that link to the Malmo example so you can see what your brethern are doing to the local Jewish comunity that has been there for at least a hundred years before the Muslims started going there in larger numbers.

Racist or not doesn't change the fact that Muslims spread hate and violence where ever they move to.

  • @Alexplus20 hahaha. We don't take our religion from people. We learn it from 2 main sources. Qur'an is the first source and Narration of the prophet is the second source. By good sources I mean trusted Islamic sites where they do obey these 2 rules of sources. Some people did astray from the right path and I won't defend them. Islam in its real form is the perfect religion.

So you admit yourself to be racist and you admit you try to spread hatred. That's all just proves my point :)

  • @simpleOgre Where exactly did I claim to be racist? thats just you making up stuf again. I said racist or not a lot different from admitting to be a raicst. Like I have said and with examples to prove it where ever Muslims go there is hate and violence. This is a well known fact.

  • @Alexplus20 OK so lets put this way watch something called Hajj where over 2 millions gather every year. Here is the video /watch?v=lZmbeDSeN9A

This alone just proves that your statement about Muslim group is just fake and the only purpose of you to mention is to spread hatred. From here I got that you admitted to be a racist.

At the end of the day this is your goal to spread hate and be a racist. Watch the video and tell me what do you think about Muslim groups when they gather in huge numbers

  • @simpleOgre the Hajj? Its generally accepted that whats inside the tent is in fact an asteriod you can look it up. My goal is to spread hate? yeah whatever helps you sleep at night. Have you even looked up that example from Sweden? You want proof Muslim spread hate? Loook up British Schools islamic Rules and see for yourself what your kids are taught. Its as disgusting and vile as your entire religeon in itself.
