"You can't choose what music you like best, when all you know is shit"
Watching the johhny cash movie now, so l thought l'd look this up. Cool! Only difference is he says,' Get rhythm when you GET TO blues", instead of when you get THE blues.
The lead guitarist looks scared stiff here and in the movie, too! LOL!
@davidbrucemusicvideo D.J. Miller acted his part quite well on Walk The Line as Luther Perkins. And here's a question for everyone: "Any reason why Cash stopped playing after guitar solo, and continued a bit after?"
@Juicefani11 Because it draws the listener into the seperate elements by removing one occasionally, commonly used in many musics, particularly now with electronic music.
everyone says Johnny Cash is a country singer. NO!!! Johnny Cash is Johnny Cash!!! his music is its own genre!!! R.I.P. Johnny Cash, greatest musician ever!!!
johnny cash is awsome. i was never a fan of country untill i herd him i remember my step dad brought home one of his c.d's i wouldnt STOPlistening to it.then i i herd my frend mention a movie about him i new then i had to see it
I hate too say this but... I don't like country in the first place....but I think Johnny Cash is Great, I really have too say Joaquin Pheonix murdered this song meaning, his version was amazing, so much so, I listen to it daily. Awesome song, Real music, love it!!!!!
I have to agree with you to some extent, love Pheonix's voice on this movie, but as time goes by the movie has caused me to review the old footage of Johnny and June. The fact this in recorded & we can replay this incredible history is to me awesome, good music or bad. Looking at their faces, & the reactions of the crowd is what matters, this was their time. The fact that we have this option of reviewing history is so cool. From someone born in 1955 & love all music & it's history.
@bawhum100 isn't that the point of the movie, too open up the music and Mr. Cash's life too the fans as well as the younger generation?...Well, that's what it did, as I stated (a year ago) I wasn't into country, the music opened my eyes up to it, as well as the rockabily sound which I still enjoy today.. and Joaquin did an awsome job playing him and singing it himself, (as well the cast). Note: "I said I think Mr. cash is great" and " Awesome song, Real Music, Love it."
@bawhum100 appreciate the fact that someone liked the movie enough to research Johnny Cash himself and instead of saying I F---in hate his music, it introduced another person to a style of music and artist that could possibly had been forgotten. so yeah, I wouldn't know about the song if it wasn't for the movie.....AND WHAT??? Now it's on my IPOD, thats good right?
Elvis has left the building, but Johnny Cash lives on.
Johnny Cash will go on inspiring all kinds of people, no matter what the color, religion or whatever. Johnny Cash ROCKS MY WORLD. It will your too and it don't matter how you came dressed as.
im only 9 (i swear on my life that i am) and i love this guy hes so inspiring and i learnt ive been everywhere for a tribute band me ad my friends have if i went on junior mastermind he would be my specialist subject i learnt to play the guitar because of him i have nothing but johnny cash on my iphone. i cant wait for his website to have makeoverim glad that walk the line opened so many peoples hearts to him and his music will live on R.I.P MR J.R CASH R.I.P mrs june carter
Johnny Ray Cash recorded this song a year or two after recording his first ever song "Folsom Prison Blues". Johnny Cash later died on September 12, 2003 at the age of 71 years old due to complications of diabetes.
I only asked because that's when Johnny Cash became famous, so why wouldn't somebody want to have seen him then, you know, when he was in his prime?! And David, your so Ugly, you looked out the window and got arrested for mooning! lol jk
