I really like the cantu shae butter conditioner, my hair drinks it up. Ive been using pure coconut oil but I think this stuff mositurizes alot better. Your hair is beautiful :)

I'm glad it works for both my daughter and me. There are so many mixed reviews on this product. I put it in every day and rebraid my hair. I put it in my daughter's hair every day and reroll her ponytails. It actually provides great hold for both of us. In fact, nothing I've ever used on her has held her curls in place all day like the Cantu does. Our hair is super soft with the Cantu. If I ever have a problem I'll repost, but so far it's great for both of us. I would never mix it with gel.

I love Cantu, as well. I never had a problem with it. I actually put Cream of Nature Lemongrass &Rosemary leave-in after I put Cantu in my hair. No residue! ;-) A friend of mine mixed a hair lotion with Cantu and no residue. I would not recommend mixing aloe vera gel with it. To each its own. I love Cantu!!!

I use something called Shea Moisture. ....Oh my gosh, it makes my hair is sooooo soft and it defines curls. This Cantu stuff, just dries the crap out of my hair and no matter if I use it alone or with something my hair looks like I been rolling in beach sand.

this stuff is moisturizing but i leaves residue and has no hold. you have to use it with something that has hold like gel and that causes even more residue this is best  as a post-shampoo and condition

@KaleidoscopeIdeas I guess it depends on how you use it and your hair texture. I never had that problem. Some people hair can't handle some products. I have very thick hair and it loves heavy creams. plus this product is not all natural. just search for what works best for you.

@KaleidoscopeIdeas thats true that the product has no hold, I find that products that offer hold causes my hair to dry out. and dry hair is bad for hair growth, because it promotes breakage. Most products are not meant for everyone you have to find what works best for you.

@mvf18 I used the dark and lovely kids relaxer...lol... I would put it in then wash it right out. i never let it stay the full time.

@tanneshaandahmed yes this was my real hair before i went natural.. I never ever wear weaves.. I think they are to harsh real hair and scalp. black hair grows. just can't do harsh styles in it. Not offended. I know it is not common now -a-days to see many black women who know how to maintain there own hair to where it dosent break off and they loose there edges..weaves and over processing is the reason..no offense.

I luv this product 3 out of the 4 cones are water soluable. It makes my 4b/c hair uber soft. If your nhair gets wet if will refresh and feel as though it was just applied. Some people do not like this aspect of the product.

yes it does, but you have to be careful with it, If you apply to much it will cause a dry film on the hair shaft..

yeah it does. i usually put it on my ends and it helps a lot and makes it super soft after a few days of use. it's good for just a touch up in the morning or just a little at night for styling

This video is from before I went natural, my grows about a a half a inch to a inch each month. And I choose styles that dosen't break my hair out. I do not know my hair texture, but I have spiral curls and waves, and frizz,lol. Thank you

Yes it is good for burns, Aloe Gel, as well as skin and hair. If you read the label on the back of the bottle it will give you a list of uses, but do not mix it with the cantu. The cantu likes natural oils only

see if you can get 100 % pure shea butter, it makes the hair soft and shiny, especially if you rub it in your hairs firts then apply it to your hair. its my new scret weapon for great hair

I have been learning to style natural hair from youtube. if you like this type of thing you shoe look at some of the natural hairs on you tube, they are so pretty

i don't have a clue, but when i did my big chop i had cork screw curls, and the cantu makes my hair soft. i am still relaxed in this video. now i am natural and i love it
