a 1000 AD victory isn't as hard as you might think it is. Typically you play as the Aztecs, who start with some money and auto-heal after victory. You waste your money to get warriors off the ground quickly, destroy some barbarians and use the resources the villages give you to destroy the other civilizations while they are still growing. Getting money or a galley is really helpful, as the galley can hepl you find ancient wonders, which are obviously a huge boost. Good Luck!

Romans are good

i was the zulu's today and i had Arabs/Greek/Romans and germans against me

i made loads of cities wrecked Arabs before Medivel times then I met the others got a peace treat took a city of Greek and then make a peace treaty waited for few years took sparta and then took athens then i went to move on the romans but germany wanted a navy war so i built ships and wared them but never took any of there property then just as it was over it came up saying i won

Well all depends on my game play

If i am a island nation i make two cities and build legions there (till gunners and pikemen or horsemen)

and them get galleys move to other main cities (where other civilistations are) and build a city close to them and build my strongest unit there

(they see you as a threat and ask for war)

then i war take there city and build,build and build till i have all my cities strong atleast on wonder on each city and walls barracks and strong units

then i win

This title just gave me an idea... does anyone know if cutting your civilation from the rest of the world would work? Like with a huge wall and a bunch of armies defending a gigantic city?

I do that a lot and it works pretty good. I try to build my capital on a peninsula that way i can make all my defensive units defend the only way into my city. then i can focus on gold, science, or culture

It depends on how you prefer to play. I personally dont like doing that because galleons and ships can still attack you

and without multiple cities you cant produce gold, culture, or science as fast as tou can with multiple cities

yeah how i play is get at least 2 or 3 cities as fast as possible, focus on culture for most of the game, gradually make more cities (the most i've ever made is seven) and wait until the modern era or when you get riflemen, then i focus on the type of victory i need/want to get.

i finally got the real game on the first day i got a mega city my top city was lvl. 31 my top city was level 15 because it had all of the wonders and buildings all my cities were at least 13 and up.

Here's a tip: Don't worry about losing a couple times. Set it on chieftan. Also, play as the Germans. They are the easiest Civilization to win with.

HOW DO I USE SIEGE UNITS IN THIS GAME? Every time I make wings of bombers and fighters, or even when I combine artillery they always get blown up by infantry! It says in the civ-pedia that only fighters can attack other air units!

Bombers can alos attack air units

Use tank armies and artillery armies.

Anyone can defend against air units, but only air units can initiate combat with other air units.

Seige like there was in previous Civ games doesn't exist, some units attack without advancing but that's about it.

If a city is fortified you can use spies to destroy the fortifications, much like seige weapons did in previous Civ games.

a good strategy is when someone declars war on you, dont attack them, let them come to you, its a lot easyer to fight on your own soil than having to mobilize all the way to them

oh and if possible always have enemy cities pinned down, dont take them over, so that you can keep pressuring them for intel
