"Valeu" is a cool "obrigado" . You can also use valeu for a cool situation (for example, if you get a nice note at your school exam, you can say "valeu") , but the apropriate word in portuguese would be "Legal" .

"Valeu" (not valleho nor vallejo) is the past of the verb "Valer" , which means "To be valid".

"Valeu" is also used very commonly in Brazil with the same meaning of "Thanks".

He is thanking the people for having watched his video in a very informal manner, whithout saying "Obrigado" , the real word for thanking.
