@AxelXGabriel Alot of reasons, his betrayal of his loved one failing her when she needed him the most, his own betrayal of his feelings during the event of her death refusing to realize them, the betrayal of his feelings afterwards... the guilt that he felt that shouldn't had been there and the guilt that should've. Pyramid head represents a punisher, as does the whole town of Silent Hill, but he can only punish people who want to be punished, thus their very existence is a betrayal of himself.

SHH is the first SH game I've ever played, and even I could tell it wasn't made by Team Silent, but they did a great job, sure PH was just fanservice and was reworked to look like the movie, and it wasn't as great a game as say SH or SH2, but the entire game was great, and kept the formula of SH intact, while it had it's own very effective combat system to set itself apart from the rest.

Absolutely not. Where the games seem to use the gory parts to create a mysterious and extremely scary atmosphere, the movie seems to use gore just to be gory. It's quite a simple horror-movie but probably appeals to a mainstream audience better than actual silent hill.

The ultimate horror dream, would be to see a scene to scene game-to-tv series of the first Silent Hill game. There's no way any director or writer could capture the atmosphere of silent hill in a single movie.

I loved it because it always made be think of how James suddenly became stronger and determined when he finally realized what was going on with Maria and it also made me think this was his Judgement Day in a way. The Pyramid Heads were there to bring him Judgement and he was there to show them that he had enough and was no longer afraid of them. At least, that's what I think.

not sure... well in silent hill 2 you would be most scared of the turn of events, the monsters, the "mind-fuck" and well pyramid head is really creepy.
