Before Christ died, sins like some of those you see in the old testament were punishable by death and when people died before Christ was born, their souls stayed with them in the grave until Christ came and then they were sent to either heaven or hell. But after Christ died, sins are no longer punishable by death and grace is created to keep it that way.

A later stage would be a fish that could pull small amounts of oxygen out of the atmosphere, but primarily still had to breathe underwater. This would be beneficial for river fish, that would be able to pull denser bubbles of oxygen from the bubbles created by the currents. Then next stage would be characterized in the lung fish (an actual living animal.)

Common sense is USELESS is science. Evidence is useful in science.
I could use common sense to debunk quantum mechanics or the idea that the earth is round. However, common sense is wrong in those cases. The earth has appeared flat my entire life, and quantum indeterminacy doesn't bode well when you consider everyday causal relations and deterministic experiences. That doesn't mean quantum mechanics and the earth's rotundity are wrong. It means that my intuition is wrong.

Catholicism and Mainline Protestantism have no problems with any of the science including evolution. Only fundamentalist evangelicals have some issues with evolution due to their absolutely literal interpretation of Scripture.
I find it interesting when people try to "debunk" the presence of Fine tuning in our universe. If the force of Gravity were off by Just 1 inch over a span measuring 14 billion light years (size of universe) human or animal life could not exist.

He says evolution deals with moral accountabilty to god (no it doesn't btw). Therefore, athiests can "get into" pornography, adultery, fornication with no God to answer to. This is bigotry. I could argue that christians are comfortable sinning because they have a god to ask for forgiveness. Clearly while we were in the water we had gills, and could not breathe atmosphere. A later stage would be a fish that could pull small amounts of oxygen out of the atmosphere, but primarily still had to breathe underwater. This would be beneficial for river fish, that would be able to pull denser bubbles of oxygen from the bubbles created by the currents. Then next stage would be characterized in the lung fish (an actual living animal.)

@flamablesteve the lung fish can breath atmosphere, but it needs to be moist, and it lives in shallow pools or mud or some environment like that.
From there, evolution took things to an amphibian, which is pretty much the same as far as breathing is concerned.
Later on, dry lungs developed.
There would be a number of intermediary steps, but that is the basic run down.
I have no sources, because I just came up with this. I wanted to answer on the spot.

Actually, among theologians, the more widely accepted translation of that commandment is "thou shalt not murder" not "thou shalt not kill". If the commandment meant for us not to kill then we should get rid of the death penalty and never go to war for any reason. Abortion is legal and is therefore not murder.

The LAW says it's legal. Why not go and protest outside congress or something?
