  • too good to be dummies ;P

  • omg They can MOOOOOOOOOVE I thought that was just not possible

  • Always Amazing!

  • goth?

  • @MayTheEvilOne not rlly, just a preferance song to us, we like its beat and boringness XD

  • @MayTheEvilOne Goth? NO. This was recorded in 1976. Goth didn't really come about until a few years later. That being said, Kraftwerk did lay the foundation for many Industrial and gothic artists, many fusing the two sounds together. Kraftwerk pretty much pioneered all of it for the most part.

  • @INITIALSJE oh really?

  • @indegruv is that sarcasm or...? i don't claim to be an expert on it or anything, it's just what I've picked up over the past several years.

  • @INITIALSJE then you shouldn't claim things that have no basis in fact. You made a statement that isn't worth the time spent reading it. Why? You added nothing of substance.

  • @indegruv seems as though you are someone who insists on being difficult for no important reason. someone made the comment, "Goth?" AND i replied. Kraftwerk are not GOTH, so i replied. sorry I wasted your much precious time in you reading something with no substance. At least I am trying to communicate with other like-minded fans of music. why does it always have to turn into an argument?

  • @INITIALSJE "That being said, Kraftwerk did lay the foundation for many Industrial and gothic artists, many fusing the two sounds together. Kraftwerk pretty much pioneered all of it for the most part." ... nice try to make this into something that it isn't..

  • @indegruv Okay, okay. I did say that yes, however being that it does appear to be stated as fact in the way I wrote it, I meant it to be a partial truth (which I still think it is). The genres of music do have a tendency to be somewhat flexible since there are so many connections between a lot of those bands in terms of sound. It's like saying Iggy Pop is the godfather of punk and that would be acceptable to many but then many others would argue that also.

  • @INITIALSJE you're just of the mindset that everyone is copying everyone else.

  • @indegruv not sure i believe it's that black and white.

  • @indegruv ...but yes, sometimes it seems that way.

  • @INITIALSJE because your scope is very limited. many things out there that you have never heard about. Its like saying, everyone is copying Elvis because he was here a long time ago, and sung on stage. therefore, all stage singers are influenced by Elvis. Its a pointless argument. Can things not stand on their own and just "be" rather than being put in tidy little boxes so that you can accept them? For example: Kraftwerk=1970. Tangerine Dream=1967. Now, who's copying who? A) nobody cares.

  • @indegruv For the record, there are some little associations needed to be made, mostly for the younger audiences (younger than us) so at least they have an idea when one is trying to introduce something to someone, even though I've never really liked the idea of categorizing everything anyway. At least we can sort of plant a seed in someone's mind that connects to other things. I don't understand why anyone could be opposed to that. And I'm sure Kraftwerk was influenced by T. Dream.

  • @INITIALSJE It means nothing if you are making it up and "assuming" that one thing is influential or "the root cause of" other things, is it not? You're getting into areas that I dont think apply here... Just let it go.

  • @indegruv I let it go a long time ago. I believe you are a little overly assumptive about people you barely know. I was never trying to start anything, so you can relax too. I was just trying to have a friendly conversation from the beginning but...alright.

  • @INITIALSJE YOU are the one who was "assuming" things, stupid. Which is why I posted to begin with. Just stfu you obviously do not know how to "be wrong" and take it like a man.

  • @indegruv Aha. So, I'm stupid am I? That's interesting. Seriously, dude. What's your beef? It seems no matter what I say, you get insulted. You're not one of those meat heads that pretends to be into underground music to be cool are you?

  • pretty beast dance moves...

  • The first time I have seen Ralf Hutter smile in one of the music videos.

  • VERY SAD SONG! NICE!

  • This is some of the scariest shit I've ever seen!

  • @Guauanco Shut up, its frickin AWSOME!!!!!!!

  • would it be wrong if i say wolfgang is pretty cute?

  • Four people are showroom dummies.

  • Never seen Kraftwerk move around that much.

  • okay, this is interesting... i think i've changed my mind. Softcell's tainted love is NOT the worst brain itch song in the world. i think it may be this! it makes minutes seem like HOURS! think i'll stick to the Blues! stuff's over my head!

  • ah this should annoy my redneck neighboors lol

  • Over 30 years of religious devotion and this is the first time I have seen this video. Just as well.

I did not know the second line was coming when I first heard this song, performed live at the Liverpool Royal Court gig in 1981. Gods walked the Earth that day.

  • oh my god! it's kraftwerk! and they're mooving!

  • lol VH1 date 1982? i think not.. more like 1977!!! re-release was 82.. also: unique version of this, snare and kickdrum overdubs and quite elegant edits of the engrish version.. awesome post..

  • The dancing at the end nearly made me piss myself it was so funny xD

  • dat dance

  • The song was originally released on the Trans Europe Express album in 1977.

This version is a remix that was released as a single in the UK in 1982. I believe that the video was also made in 1982, although no one has ever confirmed this.

  • I think I'd set my town on fire dancing like that. Next time I'm out, the "Schaufensterpuppen Skank" is a must.

  • >:o i wana be a showroom dummie xD. Florian Dances HALARIOUS!!!! :D

  • revolutionary in 1982 but wait, this is actually from 1977. makes it more incredible

e Wolfgang Flür nasceu em 17 de Julho de 1947 na Alemanha

  • @FreddiesMum i strongly agree. ;)
