The Crusades were 1,000 years ago. The Holocaust was not at all in the name of Christianity. With these poor examples, you only prove the weakness of your argument.

then how little you know about history, hitler evoked frederick the great to appeal to the middle classes appreciation of the prussian king. and he evoked martin luther to appeal to anti-semites, and to justify any persecution of jews

Obamadidit2008. Show me an active fundamental Muslim who keeps up with the fatwas and get him to not only denounce Maj. Hasan's attack, but "radical" Islam reformists as well, and maybe your argument can carry some weight. The problem is that Islamic values has always conflicted with the West. Official fatwas have not changed. Compare Sharia Law with the US Constitution. Tell me how they can possibly both exist at the same time. Lying is justifiable when promoting Allah's will.. you know this.

No, it is not. For some time now I have tried to understand the Muslim religion. Still, tragedies like this continue to happen and be played off. Yes, you have crazy Christian loons, but how often do we honestly see these people slaughtering dozens in the name of Jesus? In no way can the Bible be taken out of context to excuse murder of any sort. It is wrong. End of story, and the Bible is clear about that. How come the Muslim extremists continue to do things such as this?

Ireland recently ended a long bloody war between the Protestants and the Catholics. There were LOTS of bombs and terrorist attacks. Lots of people were killed. David Koresh and Jim Jones were both Mormons I believe. Lots of dead people there too.

What about Koresh and Jim Jones? My point is that it isn't the religion that matters it's what people do with it. You can twist any religion and do terrible things with it. What about the Spanish Inquisition or the conversion of Native Americans to Christianity by force.

Nope, not kidding you. Its a big world filled with lots of individuals. You seem to focus on groups and that isn't right. I'm liberal and I want that gunman to spend the rest of his life behind bars. I'm angry about 9/11, but I don't take it out on an entire religion that is as old as Christianity and just as legitimate.

and what's jihad against the infidels? if there's something in my religion that tells me i have to kill every non-muslim i see than i'd do it, but there isn't! thats why muslims everywhere live amongst non-muslims, without ne one killing any one.
