87% Voter turn out in that election when there was a very real threat of being killed by terrorists! What is you excuse for not making it to the polls to vote. Pretty much every1 in the middle east hates america, mainly because the U.S. aids israel in the genocide of the palestinians, and that ameica only invades countries for personal profits, such as oil, militarry strategic places, and natural resources. What pisses me of as a european, is that a country like the U.S. which has no working democracy forces it onto another country.

87% Voter turn out in that election when there was a very real threat of being killed by terrorists! What is you excuse for not making it to the polls to vote. It was a great moment for American democracy and it hardly got the cover it deserved. The war hasn't gone as planned, but frankly what war does. I think in the end though this will be a positive step forward.

The only war was the korean war in the 50s, which was fought between the two factions with little involvement of the US. Its not just about getting oil, its about getting more money for it. Whilst it may not be official, an armistice essentially ends a war. Troops from america often reside in other UN countries and vice versa. America undoubtedly has troops in france, it doesn't mean they are at war with germany. I'm just incredibly cynical, I doubt the war in Iraq was started for the reasons we have been given by Bush and Blair

It seems than rather than liberating the people of said countries, america and it's allies (my country included) only do so if the benefits for themselves outweigh the consequences, and if the people being invaded are better off, thats an added benefit

Over here we have a health care system with a sickfund (for lower incomes) and private health (for higher incomes). This way no one is left out. It's not perfect, I admit, but it's not like in communist countries where everybody has the same type of glasses, etc. We have combined socialism and capitalism in a nice blend but unfortunately neo-liberalism is spoiling it all lately.
