  • Leading groups who may share your views, like Exodus International, have responded to these studies by changing their approach. Once previously stated, they argued to not sacrifice the natural for what is unnatural (from the bible). Now they argue that genes should not define who you are (Exodus website). In the end, I think we need to open more dialogues, and do more research.

  • Great studies have recently been done on this, showing similar antagonistic selection in other species, as well as our own. We can easily measure someone's fertility, and have found that mother's of gay males are much more fertile than those of heterosexuals.

This does not end the debate however. You and I disagree, as a gay male our values differ, and that is okay. Continued on next post...

  • Think of it like marbles, GFMH is the genetic representation for what makes someone gay or straight. The mother may have six (just throwing out a number) GFMH marbles. If the mother passes on three, this would result in a homosexual male. She would then have three to share with the rest of the maternal line, thus increasing future fertility. continued on next post...

  • Kudos for opening a dialogue.

Homosexuality persists because it promotes (stay with me). Homosexuality is a result of a sexual antagonistic selection, meaning the sacrifice of one's ability to procreate will benefit the fecundity of the maternal line. Continued on next comment...

  • Homosexuality isn't genetic.... it's biological, it's based on the structure of the brain... and yeah homosexuals don't reproduce big fat fucking whoop our planet is overpopulated enough as it is.. I mean if our society continues to reproduce at the current rate, our global population will reach 10BILLION by 2050=DISASTER... and if everyone was gay... we'd reproduce anyway to continue the human species... if anyone is retarded it's you!!!!

  • okay answere me this?? if gays choose to be gay than why is it that most gay couple stay together longer than hetero couples?????? mand yeah natural selection wouldnt pass anything that harms reproduction on you kidding me.. sterile also pass their that down to their kids is nothing they choose,, is like i didnt choose my skin color!! is somthing natural and no homosexuality is no inmoral 1 there has been homosexuals since the beginng of tme but society has quiet them down

  • stupid bitch!! 1st of all the bible has nothing to do with it, if you have a girlfriend you sleep with her in the same bed even if she has her period right?? well the bible say you r not suppost to and people only follow the parts that helps them spread hate!! civil unions are like separate bu equal. if you have a twin and your gavy 70% of the times he/she is gay, people are gay you can tell since they little.. 10% of people are lgbt homophobe

  • On top of that, sometimes the womb see's the male being made as a foregin obeject therefor tries to feminize it. Ending with a homosexual son. And if it wasn't natural then why do men have a g-spot in the anus? Why is the thing that causes pleasurement for a female in her privet also found in ONLY the males ass?

  • A genetic gene doesn't always show up. It depends on if it's dominent or resecive. Example your eye color. Your father could have blue, and your mother green. You could have green due to have that trait stronger in you. Also do you choose if your left/right handed? Your skin color? Your eye color? Which are all genetic. And did you choose to be straight? If you did, then why don't you decide to love a man even if it's just for a day. Can you do that? Have a relationship with one?

  • My father has PTSD. I don't. Because Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is not hereditary, does that mean he CHOOSES to have it?

  • If it is genetic, it would have been passed on by the millions of gays throughout history who felt obliged to marry and have children because they lived in society which did not accept them.

  • Tar and feather the homos. their nasty disease carrying freaks of nature. I shall slay all who oppose!

  • MARRIAGE is not a religious ceremony its ceremony of love its a sign that 2 people will each other till the end of his lifes and shut up with bible bible is created by the church before 1500 years and bible could be written by every1 . Yeah and natural selection is by species and gays are not species they are humans. do u understand now its not even a sick its a error of genom code omg god think about that.

  • as to your reasoning that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry, you're correct that marriage is a religious ceremony. as such, marriage should not be recognized by the secular law of our country. anyone wishing to have legal rights as a couple should be civilly united. however, we've gotten to the point of disassociating marriage as a religious sacrament from marriage as a legal construct. the answer to this debate is to remove its legal implications, if you insist it is religous in nature.

  • homosexuality is not a trait that gets passed through generations and is therefore a non-factor in evolution

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA YOUR STUPIDITY AMUSES ME AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA

  • Christians=Bigots. What a bunch of sheep-do you not think for yourself? You are on the losing side of history, hanging on with your fingertips. We are not the center of the universe. Hey, what's your god gonna do when this universe is destroyed? As usual, nothing. Bet you can't wait to meet the Boogeyman in the sky. Good luck with that.

  • How does gay people getting married hurt anyone? ANSWER: IT DOESNT. you're a fucking hypocrite and a douchebag

  • @xlightmagicianx the word marriage has its meaning. Man and woman. Gays getting married is changing the specific meaning. You are destroying the word and creating a new word. why would you call something created for a specific action and make it universal? we have specific words for gender and we have universal words for non gender specific ."people" what is wrong with keeping the word marriage for heterosexuals and domestic partnership for gays? why can't Gays create their own words?

  • Being gay is like having red hair. You can't help it, you're born that way, it's a recessive trait. If (hypothetically) no one wanted to reproduce with a red-head, (paralleling non-reproduction of homosexuals) they would still exist.

  • @goldengun85 : You ask a very legitimate question. Don't let all the haters discourage the way you think. I guess you knew you would take some heat. You are exactly correct. Natural selection would have removed a "homosexual gene" from the population long ago. This eliminates pure genetics as a probable cause for homosexuality. The idea that homosexuality is found in other species is hogwash! Only humans engage in homosexuality as a way of life.

  • @1313sku gay agenda. why do we even need to hear about sex? keep it in the bed room and out of public peace and children. why do the children of heterosexuals need to learn about the incorrect sex lives of others in school? If people disagree with the sexual practice of others why is that wrong? If people are repulsed by it why its that wrong? since it is wrong anyway, lets face it. people can do what ever they want but it is anatomically wrong period.

  • @1313sku Obviously men having nipples totally against evolution. Evolution would have eradicated the "man nipple gene". Also, evolution would have eradicated the woman's dick (clitoris) and nut-sack (labia) . These are further proofs that God designed man, because evolution is known to get rind off all which is not needed. God being a person can choose to make man as He likes it. That is why there is a gene for making teeth in the chicken genome.

  • @HairyHu You are such an idiot! I can't believe you would post something so stupid that the whole world could read. Think before you write.

  • i am gobsmacked that a human can b so f*in STUPID AND IGNORANT.

WHAT A FUCKTARD ! u know NOTHING about evolution or genetics.

what makes fucktarded idiots who know nothing think they can have an opinion about evolution, genetics, or science without ever reading a book on it.

what a disgusting waste of a brain

  • @xNavyMadScientist dean hamer is a fraud/ wishing something to be true and suing people to pretend something is ok will never make it happen.

  • Homosexuality is found in nearly 500 species of animals, homophobia is found in one. Now who's the freak?

  • @oskarnoldify all that means is that you have dysfunctional animals. animals hump anything they can. ever own a dog? or should we also permit people to marry legs and fire hydrants?

  • Also I read somewhere that the bible does NOT condemn homosexuality.

    Sin is a choice.

    Homosexuality is not.

  • No simple, single cause for sexual orientation has been conclusively demonstrated, but research suggests that it is by a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental influences.

  • I fail to see how homosexuality is a choice. How about you ask a heterosexual person to choose to have sexual intercourse with another heterosexual. There would be NO pleasure from it and each would find it disgusting. Just like homosexual people find having sexual intercourse with women disgusting.

Explain homosexuality in animals and what about Asexuality? No sexual desire whatsoever.

  • why is marriage a religious ceremony? - - i am a chinese... obviously, chinese people have marriage before we have christianity in china. Marriage is basic human right, its nothing about religion.

  • what you seem to not understand is the idea of polygenic inheritance. The way that peoples sexuality is determined is by multiple alleles, and different combinations bring out different things, like orientation. sexuality is as much a choice as eye color, which is determined in the same way. This also explains how homosexuality is still present, as two hetero people can have their egg and sperm match up in such a way that they have a gay child. you probably have the potential make a gay child.

  • homosexuality isn't a choice! there are several studies that show otherwise. there are even homosexual animals. it is completely natural. The Holy Bible states that it's wrong but God didn't create the bible humans did! If you truly believe God created all of us you must believe God created homosexuals as well. It was men who claimed it was wrong and by saying homosexuality is wrong you're insulting God's creations. (my intention is not to offend Christians i'm simply giving my opinion).

  • How can anyone say Homosexuality is a choice? Are u fucking retarted?

Go ask one yourself, and see if it really is a choice.

Is it your own choice that u like the opposite sex?

Is it really? Then choose to be gay for a day:)

There are enough people still in the middle east that put their lives on the line by comming out as gay to their friends and or relatives.

Oh and news flash, homosexuality is not only prevalent in humans, Every animal species on the world has its own little gay community.

  • Also, a homosexual society would survive. Human's are very adaptive. I would assume that these gay individuals would want survival. they would not hesitate to develop sperm banks and constantly undergo artificial insemination to maintain the survival of the society. Plus, gay people want children, too. Just a heads up.

  • If you realize that sexuality isn't just black and white. it is often grey. there's more than just gay/straight/bi.

  • Oh, yea, I'ma take my scientific knowledge of evolution from a Christian lmfao! GOOD JOKE!

  • Excellent Q

  • Evolution is spread through the entire population, not certain individuals. . It's obvious your knowledge of evolutionary processes are minuscule, and you know nothing regarding genes nor homosexuality. Science has proven homosexuality is NOT a choice, through neural connections in either left (stimuli to be aroused by men) or right (stimuli to be aroused by women) amygdala. Multiple brain scans have shown the brains of homosexual males and heterosexual females are asymmetrical.

  • From the kind of evolutionary standpoint that you assume, then every creature and indeed human should be perfect by now, by natural selection.

I know plenty gay guys who have sired children before they realised their preferrence.

When you're young, you'll mount anything that breathes anyway.

Your "conviction" is "contrived", "in and around the bible", which is the King James Bible, which was re-written hundreds of years ago to suit the needs of King James 6th of England and is innacurate.

  • As with all supremacist phobes, you take the "translated in 50 ways" books to pick and choose "Ammo" that supports your hatreds to make you feel better about having them. Human society has always had roles and it's funny that evolution has dictated Gay people always existed throughout time for infinite diversity promotes a FULL healthy society. Different perspectives are the basis for different discoveries, that's why we are here. you breed, we invent and together the race moves forward.

  • homophobe

  • @11atj Comment proves hardcore Christians don't know shit about science. Biology has not proven homosexuality unnatural, as any arguments against it being genetic forget about recessive genes, and mutated genes.

  • Homosexuality in nature, some dolphins and sea life periodically mate with the same sex, its "un-natural"....right..because a Penguin, Duck, Giraffe, Ibis, Elephant, Apes, (yes apes) american bison, only a few to name, the have been around for a good while...just a small fact.

  • You fail evolution. Please don't oversimplify like that.

  • What's a good Christian doing acknowledging evolution??? All that Darwinian nonsense?? Answer It simply shows as another extension of this poor fellow's incoherent ill thought out and frankly embarrassing attempt at logical thought. I don't suppose he's unkind but clearly needs a basic course in philosophical reasoning..

  • Explaining complex things on youtube is awkward. Had to chop some words in order to fit the entire post in (had zero characters to spare so, with enough space I would have replaced "eking" with "eeking" and "ocassional" with "occasionally"), but I hope the gist is clear.

  • Imagine an extended family of hominids eking out a living in the same environment. What if one family occasional produced individuals not interested in reproductive sex. Given the social nature of primates, can you imagine a reproductive advantage for the family that had a few members who could help their siblings provide for their offspring? Evolution carries this to the extreme in social insects where EVERY sibling contributes ONLY to the raising and care of one relative's brood...the Queen.

  • Mutations can occur to our DNA, allowing for someone to be gay without having gay predecessors. Also, many gays never come out as being gay, and an indeterminable number live their lives as if they were heterosexual, getting married to a person of the opposite sex and having children who could carry the trait. Oh, and natural selection is not a sentient being. It is a naturally occurring process, and in human terms, it is not very relevant, as everyone is treated more or less equally.

  • Homosexuality (which is often part of bisexuality, btw) should b understood in evolutionary terms as part of our nature as SOCIAL animals. In SOCIAL animals, sex shifts from just being about reproduction to being more about RELATIONSHIPS -since it is the SOCIETY that nurtures or otherwise supports the next generation. Homosexuality has, overtly or covertly, been helping to enhance our species' survivability in this way, AT LEAST since we became the sexiest of all the primates! So - There u r! :)

  • @taofist you know evolution isn't true right?

  • @fdparis21 Ha ha U must be trolling me!!! :)

  • @taofist Spoken like a true evolutionist--who believes humans are just one evolutionary step above apes. Homosexuality is actually anti-darwinian because it does nothing to ensure the survival of the species. In fact, the average life expectancy for homosexuals in America today is 45 y.o. They become the vectors of many sexually transmitted diseases, which often are transmitted to the heterosexual population and further infect otherwise viable offspring.

  • @1313sku I don't think you understood what I said. The evolutionary advantage of humans is the power of our SOCIETY. Overtly or covertly, homosexual bonds reinforce that society, and therefore reinforce our evolutionary advantage. Your argument about disease, etc, is both one-eyed (het=disease too) and disporoportionate ( it doesn't sufficiently offset the advantage). The real problem that is & further creates dysfunction is ANTISOCIAL bigotries like the one that YOU present and defend.

  • @taofist Homosexuality erodes the fabric of any society because they do not reproduce. A society of homosexuals would soon be extinct. Disease in hetero. populations is offset by the numbers of offspring they produce, many of which will not have diseases and will successfully pass their genes on to the next generation. A small homo. pop. mixed in a larger hetero. society can be ignored but it has no real value to the group, unless they can perform some essential task that benefits the group.

  • @1313sku "Erodes the fabric" - What bigoted nonsense! As I said, they have ALWAYS been PART of the fabric!!! There are ALWAYS homosexuals performing essential tasks that benefit the group!! And a society of exclusive homosexuals simply DOES NOT EVER HAPPEN, not because of bigotry like yours, but because of the natural tenedency of most humans to fall into the hetero or bi categories of sexuality, and the strong desire SOME humans will ALWAYS have to reproduce!

  • @taofist Sticks and stones, bro. Homosexuality, the breakdown of the family unit and moral decay has marked the decline of many cultures throughout history. The ancient Greek, Roman, and Persian cultures all experienced changes in their culture, not unlike our own, just before they were easily overtaken by their enemies. America has been weakening on the world stage, which seems to please our current president. The rise of homosexuality is a symptom of a sick society, not a healthy one.

  • @1313sku History does not bear out your assertions. Your mention of Ancient Greece is particularly ironic (eg: cf Phaedrus in Plato's "Symposium" on the role homosexuality played in Greek military might: "... he would prefer to die many deaths: while as for leaving the one he loves in a lurch, or not succoring him in peril, no man is such a craven that the influence of Love cannot inspire him with a courage that makes him equal to the bravest born"). There's NO excuse for homophobia.

  • @taofist The "homophobia card" is akin to the "race card" oft played as a desperate attempt to shift the focus of the debate. A more careful examination of history will show that Plato's philosophies did indeed fail to preserve the Greek civilization. They were conquered by the Romans, who were soon after invaded and destroyed by the barbarians. Rome had an insatiable thirst for violence and sensual gratification, evident in their rampant sexuality. The barbarians only completed the breakdown

  • @1313sku The word "homophobia" is aptly used here, since all arguments presented by you and by goldengun are skewed for one purpose only - to vilify homosexuality. Case in point: this version of Ancient History, which hardly got a mention when I studied these periods in school and uni.Your "gay poison" theory has no support outside the anti-gay lobby, for sound reason. You could just as easily blame Christianity for the Fall of Rome. But it's more about dynamic-beats-static, & other factors.

  • @taofist I hope you're not naive enough to believe that our modern, politically correct historians would be honest enough to tolerate such candid discussions of morality. You need to research actual books written when words like "gay" meant happy and "homosexual" wasn't even in most dictionaries and "anti-gay lobbyists" didn't exist because they weren't necessary. Believe it or not, this was our America just 60 years ago, when my father was born.

  • @1313sku Those books don't support your theory either, despite their relatively primitive or church-cowed culture. Heck, even Gibbon (writing 1776-1788)(whose credentials as an historian still exceed yours by an immense degree), attributes the Fall of Rome to Christianity and its impractical unworldliness more than "homosexuality", per se, which was more tolerated by Roman society in the early and middle periods of the Empire than post-Constantine. Your "point" is nothing but prejudice.

  • @taofist How can you pretend to know the content of, no doubt, hundreds of books written about the fall of Rome? I did not claim that homosexuality was the cause of Rome's decline. It is merely one symptom of a culture that is headed for ruin. Calling a nation "Christian," does not make it so (our own as a case in point). The Roman people had become burdened with a costly government, inflation, and oppressive control. Few thought the old civilization was worth saving.

  • @1313sku ...So, you make excuses for Christianity("it wasn't REAL Christianity like MINE..." - how often do we hear THAT one?), but still condemn homosexuality as a "fabric-eroder" that is a "symptom of a culture that is headed for ruin". THIS is how you earn labels like "homophobe" - strong on prejudicial assumptions whilst, at the same time, being short on rational and/or empirical proof and essentially begging the question, just in order to comfortably condemn homosexuality. WAKE UP!!!

  • @taofist You are clearly beyond reasoning, as your tone seems to have reached yet another feverish pitch. Just remember, history has a way of repeating itself and men tend to re-interpret the facts to satisfy their own desires. The fact that you can find none of this information in our modern history texts should be telling enough. If you live close to a good library, I would suggest you do more reading on the subject. Many older books support everything I have told you. Good luck!

  • @1313sku So - YOU are saying that I am "clearly beyond reasoning". Wow. It is a rare honour to witness SUCH irony. I wonder how the principle of "men tend to re-interpret the facts to satisfy their own desires" might apply to your homophobic position, which, despite the logical extremity (ie the "All X's are Y" blanket condemnation), and serious human consequences of such a stance, you maintain with only the most flimsy and selective evidence. (Gibbon - MODERN? Riiiight....)

  • I hope all the dirty mexicans become all homosexuals so they all dye of in one lifetime.. :)

  • @Sociopath7,13 @cmdrkoenig67 its not about whether you choose to be gay or not, its about having equal rights and not hating people who are not harming you, just because they have a different preference than yours be it by choice or inherent in their nature. You don't have to agree but you should give them the respect and freedoms that all law abiding citizens deserve. I am not gay and find men disgusting..but i also hate bell peppers. Do i hate people that like bell peppers? no! c my point?

  • Comment removed

  • you are entitled to your opinion, and i'll have to disagree with you. However, could you explain to me, after you exclude the religious reasons, why its wrong? Also, the bible is really a bad source of moral validity, I'm sure i don't have to point them out considering you've probably already been told by a multitude of persons after your video.

  • Valid points. However, when you choose to use the Bible as a moral source, you can't just pick & choose the bits that you agree with and leave the rest that don't agree with. As for the evolution POV, I agree with you that it makes no sense for the gene for homosexuality to be passed. However, the development of the fetus is a complex process, individuals could be born with a preference contra to what would be deemed as normal.

  • @EightyBrains I was presuming he was arguing from an evolutionary standpoint because he believes in evolution. My point is if you are a Christian that believes in evolution, you can't be someone who takes the Bible word for word. And if you don't take Genesis literally when it says God made the earth in 7 days, why should you take Leviticus literally when it says homesexuality is wrong? Of course he may not believe in evolution. If so he is an idiot and I'm wasting my time on this vid.

  • I'm sorry, but how can you argue from both an evolutionary and a biblical standpoint that homosexuality is wrong? If you take with a pinch of salt what is said in Genesis about the creation of the natural world, then why do you believe de facto what is said in Leviticus about homosexuality? Whatever your veiws on the central thesis of the Bible are, which I respect entirely, surely you can see that you can't follow every word exactly, let alone pick and choose the bits you want to believe.

  • @ellyfulable When he argues from an evolutionary standpoint, he's arguing as if he were an evolutionist. Two people with different ideas of reality cannot argue because the argument must be about the subject (in this case, homosexuality) as it pertains to a common view of reality. So, since there are probably some evolutionists in the audience, he has to argue his point to them as well. If he only argued the Christian standpoint, he could not persuade evolutionists of anything.

  • I believe in god, he loves us all, I'm bi. It doesn't matter, he created us all so why doesn't he love us all? Huh?

  • Here's a question: How do homosexuals survive in a society that wants them DEAD?

See, this is how Theocracies fail at social planning, by making gays want to look straight, they marry straight, fuck straight, BREED straight, and you end up with more gays and bisexuals rather than less.

    WAY more.

What's that saying about obsession with your enemy? What does it do again?

  • This guy is an idiot. He doesn't even know anything about what original scripture says and more importantly what it doesn't say. Not to mention the fact he doesn't understand anything he is speaking of. This is all simply opinion. No basis in fact. He doesn't understand because he's simply stupid

  • 157 people are probably Christians who are going to hell

  • There is one major flaw to your idea against homosexuality being a mechanism for population control. You state that there must be a mind guiding the course of evolution. This is not true. When a population becomes too large, ecology has ways of reducing the population. The most common example of this is viruses and diseases. Please become acquainted with biology before making such statements.

  • Homosexuality is a choice. It comes about from one's personality and how they were brought up.

  • @bbmkanata

*shrugs* Believe what you want, as will I.

  • @Sociopath713 People can't control how they were raised, dummy. There goes your opinion of "choice".

  • @Mccoins

That is true, but once you grow up, more paths in life are presented to you, you just have to chose one of them.

  • @Sociopath713 Homosexuality is genetic, that's a scientific fact. It isn't a choice, get over that myth and educate yourself.

  • @Mccoins

Well, I believe homosexuality is a choice and isn't genetic, and you believe homosexuality isn't a choice and is genetic. Dude, these are called opinions, we each have our own.

  • @Sociopath713 Science isn't an opinion, you clearly lack basic research skills. Its been proven just as much as the fact that we are not the center of the solar system. Stop diluting yourself and learn something, you already have an internet connection. Spend some time listening to people who understand the real world, not those who wish it to be a certain way.

  • @Mccoins

Dude, I know science isn't an opinion, and I'm not saying that it is. My research skills are fine thank you very much, and my learning skills aren't dull in the slightest. I know I can't just wish the world to be a certain way, it is the way it is, but there are somethings in the world that are unknown, and I believe that the answer to whether homosexuality is genetic or not is one of those unknowns. So can you just shut your mouth and let this go?

  • @Sociopath713 Your willful ignorance only proves that Christianity only serves to divide populations and create idiots such as yourself.

  • @Mccoins

Are you implying that I'm a Christian? Hah! Ask before you infer, for I am far from a Christian.

  • @Sociopath713 You believe homosexuality is a choice? Then I believe you are ignorant.

Why would anybody choose to be gay? Tell me why? None of you homophobic, heterosexual ignoramuses can answer that logically.

  • @cmdrkoenig67

Simply put, homosexuals are just attracted to the same gender instead of the opposite as per the norm. There really isn't an answer to your question "Why would anybody choose to be gay?". The only way for you to really understand is if you are gay, and even then it is confusing. And now that I take a wider look at it all, it really isn't a choice, the person's body is just programed that way from birth. It's sort of like a small, adorable, quirk.

  • @Sociopath713 Ignorance is a choice. It comes about from one's cowardice to gain knowledge that would threaten their ignorant beliefs. Vicious cycle.

  • @gingerbreadcorpses

    *nod* True words my friend.

  • @Sociopath713 That is not true!... First, off if your not homosexual then you don't know how someone feels. From my observation a lot of plp are homosexual when they are young (naturally) but then they grow out of it as they get older. Some surpress it and some imbrace it. My two cousins are both 4 years old and they know nothing about sex ,but they where caught hunching because it was there instinct. Therefore it is something within a person not just because someone jus wak up N be tht way

  • @savaddavis

My observations are different from yours, since I am not around children and don't want to be. "caught hunching" what does that mean?

  • @savaddavis

Sorry, I didn't fully understand the commment when I first answered. It is as you say, hunching is just one of those basic instincts that people do when they are scared, but hunching has no corelation (sp?) to sex

  • @Sociopath713 Young why do you believe that you have 880 disllikes and 198 likes?... it it because 880 homosexual plp don't like your video or is it because it is obvious that you dont kno what you are talking about... 1st off if a man looks at a naked man and becomes aroused ,but when the man looks at a naked woman he gets limp ,it is obvious tht the man is attracted to men and it is clear to see that the man has no choice of being heterosexual or homosexual..

  • @savaddavis

Why are you telling me that, I didn't make this video (thank goodness).

  • @Sociopath713 Also where do you get your info from?... I mean seriously plp hunch when they get afraid?.. What planet are you from again?... JUSSAYIN... If a man scares you ... You may get the sudden urge to hunch him?...

  • @savaddavis

Well, please explain what you meant by "My two cousins are both 4 years old and they know nothing about sex ,but they where caught hunching because it was there instinct". Maybe we might come to an understanding once you explain.

  • Obviously there isn't an actual answer to this question, you're right it makes no sense for natural selection to choose to pass on a trait that would stop people from reproduction. That said, what about people who are born infertile? Are you telling me they choose to be infertile? They can't reproduce either... I'm not saying that it gets passed down, I'm just saying that something isn't perfect in their system and they can't reproduce. Are you telling me that you think they chose ...cont...

  • @OnlyOne9201 to pass on mental retardation? Yes, mentally challenged people can reproduce, but in the majority of cases they don't. A lot of things are passed on that make our bodies imperfect, why is homosexuality any different? Now, before I get a bunch of shit because I said homosexuality is an imperfection, let me say this -- I am TOTALLY for any and all guy rights, I have absolutely nothing against homosexuals, however I do think that we would all be heterosexual in a perfect world, ..cont.

  • @OnlyOne9201 because the point of sex is supposed to be reproduction, that is what most, if not all other animals use it for. So ideally I feel heterosexuality is what we are "supposed" to be, but we're also supposed to be in perfect shape, and lets face it most of America isn't. None of us are perfect, there's no reason to degrade homosexual because of the way they were made -- or the life they choose to live, which ever way it may be. Christians are not supposed to be so judgmental -- Irony.

  • So do you hate shrimp and that a bat is a bird? Why is there still downs?

  • So do you hate shrimp and that a bat is a bird?

  • O btw I'm wiccan... dose that mean ur going 2 stone me to death or tourture me to death? U wont bc its 2010 and illegale! and someday soon ppl like u wont matter and the civil rights of all ppl we be seen into laws and homosexuals will get married and guess what I hope it pisses u off when u realize ur so filled with hate, when u see there happy lifes!

  • @19JessicaPaige89

I can't wait until that day comes.

  • u say u r a Christian then u talk about evolution. My question to u is Christian don't believe in evolution. Do you believe in Adam and Eve? Then you believe in INCEST. If Adam and Eve are true, then their sons and daughters (assuming they had sons and daughters) would have had to have had sex with each other in order to continue the human race. Incest is wrong. Incest is immoral. Incest is sick. Incest would mess up your evolution theory as well. Dont Christians believed God made all things?

  • Also, I just wanted to comment I watched this video right up until you said "homosexual PEOPLE. Homosexuals and lesbians both." I am extremely displeased and, quite annoyed, when people commonly associate the term homosexual with simply males and lesbian with women. I don't quite understand why you need to specify the fact they have their own term after you just used a perfectly valid terminology that describes them both? They're still homosexual; you don't need to further it by saying lesbian.

  • @popedusty That could have nothing to do with genetics, and it was not 70%. I am quite familiar with the study you are quoting this from, and it was disproved. They denounced their findings and the head of the largest genetics department in the country, and another researcher said their conclusions can, contrarily, also be heavily related to environmental causes.

  • Also It is a sin to have sexual relations with the same sex if you are not married

  • @mormonwoman52 correct.

  • @mormonwoman52 I mreant the opposite or same sex

  • @mormonwoman52 Sin is a meaningless concept, it has no bases in reason logic or ethics, and in the religious sense it's only whatever a god doesn't care for at the moment. One minute its killing the next minute its not killing. Because I said so is such a horrible thing to base one's life on.

  • @humanistheart meaningless? think about that one momentarily

  • @mormonwoman52 I notice you cannot deny morality based on a god concept is meaningless. Glad to see you agree with me.

  • BTW -EVERYONE has the same rights to marry or not to marry-Gays choose not ot marry- therefore Its a choice-They say they dont have the same rights But I also dont have the right to marry the same sex- so we all have the same rights-

  • @mormonwoman52 "Gays choose not ot marry- therefore Its a choice-" That is insanely stupid. You have the right to marry the gender you are attracted to, but in most states homosexuals do not. You have a right they do not have. Sheesh, at least look up the word logic at some point there bigot.

  • @humanistheart Oh now you're adding in your own rule of "the gender you're attracted to" if you can add that in then you can begin to add whatever you want- therein lies the problem of watering down a fundamental building block of a sane human society and that, my dear friend is the danger that brings destruction of wholesomeness.....be smart don't start

  • @mormonwoman52 1) I added nothing. You claimed homosexuals have the same rights to marry as you, I'm pointing out that's not true here.

"fundamental building block of a sane human society "

Oh, so canada, our gentle neighbor, which has a history of virtual no wars, and far less genocide than the US, and which has a better educational system, a healthier economy, and considerably less crime, among other advantages, is somehow 'insane'?

Or, perhaps the many countries of europe that allow gay

  • @mormonwoman52 2) marriage, and also enjoy better health care, better education, lower crime rates, and a generally higher life satisfaction average are somehow insane.

It would seem you have the concept of insanity confused with sanity. Unless you value high crime rates, poor health, and low economic success more than prosperity and peace.

  • @humanistheart Im sorry that you (as most sheep) have been so indoctrinated as to believe that drivel-If I can't reach you with common sense then the conversation is over-

  • @mormonwoman52 Oh your right, actual empiracle evidence and fact are drivel compared to your ignorant and bigoted faith. Silly me. *rolls eyes*

  • Left handedness isn't a trait to be passed on from parents to children, yet two right handed parents can have a left handed child. HOW THE FUCK CAN THAT HAPPEN??? Why would natural selection allow this to be????

Yeah, that argument doesn't make any more sense that your argument does. You didn't wake up one morning and decide to be straight. Why would you think I woke up one morning and decided to be gay?

  • all about religion, dont you think the religious people should have a say, and not involve the government? Or is it just Christianity that has the say?

You cant say that marriage is a religious thing and then bring in the legal system to protect you. or say that its a religious thing then deny other religious people the same right!!!

  • If a civil union is governmental, and a marriage is religious and you want to keep them separate, then why are you trying to get the government involved in banning gay marriage? I mean you christians cry foul when it comes to the government "interfering" in your way of life, but then you use the government to protect against something that you want to stay religious and free from governmental influences? And what about the people whose religion allows for gay marriage? I mean since marriage is

  • Why do Albinos still exsist... If you say this natural selectio exsist the way it does then why are there still albinos in the world... hmmm?

  • Pure hypothesis: "Gay gene" increases likelihood of homosexuality, but not certainty. This results in some of those with the gene not seeking to pass their genes directly, so spending more energy on the wellbeing of the whole tribe, which also has the gene (remember our genes still think we're tribal). Could these additional carers increase the likelihood of that gene *indirectly* surviving into the next generation?

(Bear in mind the twins issue shows increased likelihood, not certainty.)

  • Your denounciation of "Homosexuality" makes you an idiot sir, the romans did it and to little boys it shaped the world, it made religion as well so in all reality sir your points are in-valid marriage is not religious it is "Public" because being religious doesnt automatically send you to "Heaven" and then we get into the topic of heave and hell well thats lame and the bible also does never denounce gay's evolution is a competent fact and sir you need to be fixed because the world doesnt need u

  • Religious faggots will never admit that evolution is only possible with heterosexual relationships...

  • Homosexuality is a choice

  • he argues this topic with people on stickam? (dork) He also watched youtube videos on this topic and when he Posts a video on this topic, anyone notice he cant really look at the camera when he talks? what does this mean hmm??

  • There isn't a mind behind evolution because of population control. . .

Have you ever heard of a carrying capacity? If there's too many organisms competing for one resource, that resource will deplete, and the population as well. Therefore, the population will go extinct because the resources are gone. So, by lessening a population by means of population control, you will still have a surviving species, and it won't encumber the world's resources.

  • The gene that can cause homosexuality is also correlated with greater fertility amongst females. Evolution is about survival or populations not individuals. Within a kin group if the gene causes one or two individuals to be gay that evolutionary price is outweighed by the greater fertility of their straight female relatives. This pattern is seen both in human kin groups and other mammals.

  • @GreenByNature86

Jeez, I think I just ran into the most intelligent YouTuber ever. I'm subscribing, even if you don't have any videos o.O

  • And if you believe that homosexuality is wrong because of the bible, then do you fulfill your obligation to stop it?

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Your god wants you to kill all homosexuals, and says it will have been their own fault that you were made to do it. Do you agree with this or do you know better than your god?

  • "Marriage is a religious ceremony" It's also a *Civil* institution. Churches already discriminate. A catholic priest wouldn't marry me because I'm protestant, my own minister wouldn't have married me unless I was active in a church. Because my father was raised Catholic but was married in another church his family considers my parents and my wife and I to be "living in sin."

  • Why do people have Sexual Fetishis? Why are some people born with dissibulitys? why are people born with mutaions and why are people born differnt? All of those things are possuble so i dont see how being gay is differnt from it.

  • @acey45 Yeah, and gay people aren't the ones ruining society. It's those damn child molesters! ;)

  • @The949080 there are meany things ruining "society" that are bigger than that in which i could go on and on about so dont humiliate yourself by trying me.

  • @acey45 Are you kidding me? Did you read my comment? It was a joke. . . I am pro gay rights. . .

I can understand why you'd get defensive though ;)

  • @The949080 haha ya i thoght it was a joke and then saw it more and realised what video this was on. haha but good i take back what i said.

  • God created the world knowing despite those who rejected his rule of obedience would give birth to those who would choose to obey him. Good? Bad? depends on who's definition. God's definition of Good is obedience to God soooo we are all bad. No one is good but God even angels have fallen. Hell is simply the absence of God and all the pleasures we have corrupted and taken for granted. If we so choose a reality absent of him which happens to be torture in of its self...it is by our choice.

  • @dard1313 So "good" is unquestioning obedience to a self proclaimed tyrant? Yep that sounds like a definition for good that illiterate, self-important goat herders would have come up with to keep control of their nomadic bands. Thank you for confirming my suspicions that these myths about gods have all the tell tale signs of being made up by people.

  • youre gay face it.

  • goldengun85, thank you. I don't mean to offend, but rarely do I hear reasonable religious arguments. You do have a good point, I cannot see any reason for homosexuality through the evolutionary process.

You are correct that there would have to be a "guiding hand" for population control. Evolution is responsible for blind, indefinite reproduction, and nothing more. I dare to say this (I do not think homosexuality is a bad thing), but it makes sense that it's either a choice, or a mutation.

  • you know what?

it's good to see the other side of an argument.

when it's not being yelled and thrown around aggressively.

even though i disagree with you,

to be honest, thank you for explaining this from another stand point. calmly.

I think alot of people should agree with what i just said.

  • as I said, homosexuality most likely developed as a result of the evolution of bisexuality, why would bisexuality develop you may ask? Well, think about it, in a societal setting, one who is willing to gain, ahem, "favor" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) from other members of the same gender, this would allow one to gain higher societal standing, and if one has higher societal standing then they will be more likely to find a mate (or mates?) and thus pass on there genes better than heterosexuals.

  • I can see how this may be confusing, as many strange evolutionary anomalies are

First off, Homosexuality is not determined by a single gene, it is polygenic and has other factors such as hormonal imbalances during prenatal development

The evolution of homosexuality is an interesting topic, a common and interesting theory (that also applies to other species with homosexuals) is that it emerged from the development of Bisexuality, and I have to continue this explanation in a new comment.

  • It's possible that producing gay children is a side effect of a more "beneficial" gene. For example, in Africa, sickle-cell anemia has not been weeded out by natural selection. Why not? Because people who are carriers for sickle cell also tend to be highly resistant to malaria. So children without sickle cell die young of malaria & those with sickle cell live.

In this case, a gene that produces a high fertility rate in a woman may also have the side effect of sometimes producing gay children.
