  • love it man, sounds amazing..that guitar is sweet

  • im in two bands and in my newest one,my sister plays gutitar and me on bass an vocals...but ive ben intrested in vox guitars for a while so im going to be occanolly (sorry im a really bad speller) and i was wondering if vox makes baritones, and if not, should i get a vintage vox guitar or one of the newer ones?

  • Is this the type with the chrome-covered pick ups?

  • Fuck yeah rocking it out like Ian Curtis!

  • I have one of these, mine is red, it was my first guitar. My dad took me to several pawn shops in Tacoma, WA (pawnders corner) until we found this guitar. Came with the tear drop case for $60, that was in 1973. I've played it in several shows since, always real fun. Has a very thin sound. Originally came with a mute pad on the bridge, I use this as a form of tremolo. I did have new tuners put on it, so no longer original but plays better. Not for sale anyway. Thanks for the video.

  • i love the shape of these guitars, planning on building myself a clone asap

i dont like orange amps though, any better amps to play it through??

  • better is a subjective word. Orange make really great class A amps but I can see how some people dont like the sound as its very modern compressed and high gainy. I have a lot of other amps my favorite being a 1963 brownface princeton and 63 brown deluxe which is awesome for high gain stuff. Fender Brown and early blackface stuff is my favorite.

  • @jlolivermusic no its more so every one ive tried has always seemed really thin and lifeless, just sound like junk to me, im more of a Vox man myself :P

plus, orange is not my colour :D

  • The sound of the guitar is amazing! dying to get one of these

  • i love that wirey sound of theis guitar, great for velvet underground stuff. i do believe sterling morrison of the velvet underground liked and used this model. PERFECT!

  • what a buzz, holly crap

  • I love her!

  • Yeah that's great !!

I'm looking for an original Vox Phantom at the moment, what's the difference between this one and a "normal" one ?

I can see that not the white microphone usualy taken on ;)

  • facking halleluja I'm searching for years for this guitar
