ok so my family owns the land.. to get there you have to get to 115 from either the turnpike exit or 81. from turnpike you will turn left onto 115.. about 2 miles down you will see a Casino Motel on right. this is my street, Pittston Blvd. take this road down about 2 miles, turn right on to Bald Mountain Road, drive up about another 2 miles and look for a dirt road that leads up to a shack and a series of gates. this is the entrance!
I went to see them with these directions. It took a while but we foundthem and got up to them. I am in love I think. You can't compare getting up to them and actually hugging one to anything else. And looking up to feel the propellers make the wind hit you face... I can't wait to get up there again!
omg i know! i really can't comppare the sound they make to anything. its so relaxing when your there, if i could get a job working with them itd be perfect!
well at least the big W-B is doing something right and using wind power instead of oil and other fossil fuels!!! YAY! for back water valley people (sorry i lived there too and actually miss it but ya gotta pick on peeps in the valley)
great question -- i can't quite remember, to tell you the truth. we just kept driving until we found them. i do know that they're much farther south than one would realize, and i know we started off by taking 115 toward bear creek...then pittston boulevard, then...bald eagle or bald mountain road? give that a try -- i'm sure you'll be able to find them from there. if i remember correctly, there's a dirt road off of bald mountain/eagle rd. that will take you to each tower.

I buy windpower from Peco in Philly. I think this is where it comes from.

i think it's something like this: take 115 to pittston boulevard, then bald mountain road...

How do you get to them? I think from 115 in bear creek. I'd like to see them when I come in from NY to visit my parents. Thanks!!!

Just a question...Where did you go to see them up close? They look cool from 81 but I'd like to see them like that!
