Hi Stephanie, thanks for your comment and offer of pointers! You are most kind, would love to hear your comments when you have the time. Good luck with your performance.
Hey there. I also have to play this for my GCSE Music recording, do you have any tips for me? Great playing lapianistamusica, the harpsichord offers a nice touch
Hi thanks, I agree with you on the harpsichord preset. Its an interesting diversion, but I dont think I will be trying out any other preludes or fugues with it. It feels nothing like a real harpsichord! but it is a good workout for the hands. All in all I prefer an acoustic piano.
I was bought a book (48 preludes and fugues) by my sister from Yorkshire who brought it unknowingly (she knows nothing about music (bless her), but it got me restarted on the piano anyway. I like Debussy a lot and Reverei/Arabesque are two i "play" I also Do some Hanon work for my fingers. Keep it up!
I had the music as a gift from my sister who brought it from a music shop in Yorkshire (Dales) She new nothing about music - and just picked this up 48 preludes and fugues (das wohltemperiete klavier) book one (edited by colin mawby).
This is the 2nd piece in the book. took me 3 weeks to note learn (finished last night) but may be a while before its playable. Love your Chopin Prelude as well. My dad used to play all chopins - including Some Ballades/Scerzo's. and "warsaw concerto"
Hi Tony, I find that this prelude is the kind of piece that can take a long time to perform. Its very difficult but its a great work out for your fingers. Hanon is also great! keep playing :)
Nicely played with the harpsichord preset!. I'm finishing this piece now, but wasn't sure whether the left or right hand was used in the fibal 4 bars.
Hi thanks for your comment. Bar 35 I am playing RH and LH, Bar 36 RH only, Bar 37 RH and LH and Bar 38 RH and LH. I am playing from the Associated Board Edition, which an urtext and "is based upon the autograph fair copy Berlin, Deutsche Staatsbibliothek." It is a good edition, one which I would recommend. Hope this helps :)
Great playing, smooth fingers movement, very nice.

I think slow practice, is the way to go with this piece, but I am sure your teacher has told you this! Hope you get on the with your recording

Nice played, but I think that it would be better without the harpsichord preset (it lacks of the natural sound so much).
This prelude besides his musical beauty is an excellent finger exercise...
Very good
