okay, dude first of all i read that too and he was about 19-20 at the time i read it. second, that IS his way. we are all individuals. what works for you might not work for the person next to you. put the focus back on the music. if his lifestyle is disagreeable to you then move on pal, he won't lose any sleep about you not listening to his music anymore i am sure.

I'll side with thefucingchamp. Broadrick has said he's interested in the spectrum of human emotional experience, so where the hell's the representation of joy?

Don't get me wrong: I'll listen to anything the guy puts out. He creates what he wants to, and you have to respect any artist who does that.

Then again I can think of some songs he has produced over the years that are absolute ecstatic orgiastic proclamation ("Pure" or "Frail" for example).

Well I wouldn't say Silver was cheery either but it definatly had a more positive feel to it than this song.

To me, "Walk on Water" evokes the image of a dark and rainy autumn day in some bland urban landscape, while "Silver" evokes the image of an early spring day on the countryside... erm it's kinda hard to explain. Not that that means one song is better than the other offcourse.

By the way, I went to a Jesu concert 2 weeks ago. It was really cool and they had a screen behind them on which images of landscapes were projected, a lot of them were autumn and winter landscapes and it was really cool
