  • It's a pity that early recording technique limited records to roughly 3 minutes. Imagine these guys improvising for 15 or 20 minutes on such a tune (which they actually did, acc. to Satch).

  • Probably the best "pure" New Orleans style Jazz band ever to be recorded! Such a classic combo of musicians, and such a tight, yet utterly free and effortless sound at the same time, although, nothing they're playing is effortless! You can't beat these early Jazz players, soooo epically groundbreaking and original, yet rooted so heavily in the past! I think it's awesome!
