  • My jaw almost dropped watching this. It's beautiful and inspiring! Hope you'll make more videos like this.

  • this was really amazing. Not just the astounding low light quality of the footage, but just the feeling this video gave. I think there may not be anyone who can copy the vibe of this video...It truly is one of a kind. The inspiration I feel to create art , to create something everyone can enjoy is just wow! Thank you so much for making a video that can connect with just about anyone.

  • @Darkdeity9194 wow. thank you so much.

  • i love every frame of this video

  • awesome.

  • I just wanna say.. I found this video on Vimeo about a year ago. I've since watched about 80 times. This video makes me feel glad to be alive. It really conveys a powerful string of emotions. Thank you for making this video. I have never been inspired by something to do great things the way I am when I watch this video.

  • @trashtastictakeout That is completely fucking awesome. Thank you so much for such an amazing comment, and please keep in touch.

  • Hey this is just insane work! Absolutely outstanding. I picked up this body myself and I'm still working my way around the video as I'm primarily a still photographer. I got to ask, what settings was your camera in at the 1:00 min mark. I would love to give that a try. Keep up the good work. Peace!

  • @randellrowe Hey thank you so much, we really appreciate it. For that part you're asking about, it's a timelapse....so those were 12 second exposures, over the course of about an hour....just need a tripod and a shutter release to make it happen....let me know if you have any more questions, we'd be glad to help out. Thanks again, and have an awesome day!

  • Just awesome! Thanks!

  • @altman77 thank you!

  • simply amazing, i've watched this countless times over the past year and it just never gets old :)

  • @TheThingsiFilm That is completely awesome...thanks so much for watching.

  • WOW! This waas simply stunning! The quality of footage, the music it was fantastic! Well done! It really is great these days how we can create such quality footage with DSLRs, I use a 550d and am amazed at what comes out of that! Really really well done!

  • @thefilmmakerpro Thank you so much....yeah its a crazy time to be making videos...we just gotta embrace it...thanks for watching.

  • @gnarlybay hey man great video.. im so disapointed (well not really) i just got my d3100 because my mom's a pro and we have all these nikon lens and shit, i wish i went with canon or the dark side as my rents call it. I have one question did u do any color correction for this

  • @mraverageplayer haha that's hilarious...sorry to hear that...haha umm we really only crushed the blacks a little....and maybe bumped the saturation a bit....nothing more than that though...thanks so much for watching, and good luck with the Nikon.

  • dana!!!! another timeee you are amazing!!

you know perfectly how to transmit feellings!!!

    =)

  • Respond to this video...Hey what's up brotha!...how's it going? Thanks so much for checking out our work again...we really appreciate it...hope all is well.

  • Amazing, I want a higher-end Canon DSLR but really can't afford it at the moment... We'll see some day, I'd love to be able to create short films like this...

  • @Scwirul awesome....we look forward to seeing what you create....keep us posted.

  • @gnarlybay Well, it's funny because today I just finished a short film course funded by panasonic along with about 9 others and two professional filmmakers. The film has the oppourtunity to be shown at the 2012 olympic stadium to millions of people. So, if you end up seeing that at the stadium / tv, you'll know ;]

  • Nice video.

But what is happened to your 1D? ;D

  • Hey there, did you add any superflat picture style settings to your camera? Do you know how to add a better dynamic range to the image?

  • Amazing! The Sigur Rós´ song is a nice choice!

  • can I ask what lens you shot on?. Im having problems with noise with my canon 5d mark ii and the 24-70. Any suggestions? P.s Love your video.

  • @neilhartop1979 I think we shot most of this on the Canon 35mm 1.4...if you're having trouble with noise I would suggest a prime lens...they typically are much better than a zoom lens. just a thought. thanks for watching.

  • THE BEST VIDEO ON THE NET SHOT WITH THE MARK IV. Because of this video I am getting this camera. The quality is amazing and you captured something so beautiful that I get emotional and so amazed at how filmmaking has changed for the better for independent filmmakers such as ourselves. We can now create amazing visuals with time-lapse shots of stars, etc. WOW WOW WOW! Awesome video!

  • @ScottGoldbergMusic Wow thank you so much...you have no idea how much we appreciate comments like this...its what keeps us going. thanks again.

  • @gnarlybay No problem brother! Been having a blast shooting with this camera! Hope to get HALF the amount of beautiful shots that you have gotten. Just simply amazing how much your video is thrilling and emotional for many viewers, including myself. About the time-lapse, I know it's probably been asked but you used an automatic timer? Any word on how I can achieve some star shots? What ISO and speed?

  • where do you find music like this?

  • @dimdubdim The song is called Fljótavík, by Sigur Rós

  • Who did the music?

  • @slingersixstring The song is called Fljótavík, by Sigur Rós

  • this is a beautiful video.. what is the song? it fits so perfectly

  • @GFSRocker7 Thanks a lot...really appreciate it. The song is called Fljótavík, by Sigur Rós

  • That gave me chills :D

  • what settings and lens do you use to be able to see the stars like that in your time lapse? i see you put your iso settings up there but what else. thanks

  • @BrandonAGarcia the time lapse was done using an intervelometer (little gadget that tells the camera to take pictures at a set interval) and taking lots of 20-30 second exposures over the course of a few hours. this allows you to take in lots of light at better ISO settings (ie: 100 to 800ish)

  • Bloody incredible camerawork. I would love to see more.

  • @Scwirul we're trying to pump out more personal vids but we've been busy paying the bills with corporate stuff...stay tuned..hehehee

  • Thank you.

  • This is truely inspiring. It filled me with happiness. You have significant talents. Thank you for improving this small world we all share. DocRon.

  • @OtiumCumDocRon THANK YOU

  • beautiful footage !!! i love it ~~

  • there's just something so liberating about this video... beautiful footage

  • whats the music ion the video? I know its sigur ros which song though?

  • @spidey20 the song is 'Fljótavík' on the album 'Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust' How bout that for some crazy words :)

  • BEAUTIFUL VIDEOS! and i typed that in caps cause those no other way in text to describe the greatness of emotion involved in these vids

  • @spidey20 THANK YOU

  • wow... i'm saving my money for this camera...

  • Beautiful! Good stuff!

  • great stuff!

  • I got my own canon 1D mark IV and Carl Zeiss lenses. Works like crazy. :) You don't need anything else for serious production. I only had problem very first day when Lcd on 1D died.

  • i saw this on vimeo ages ago :) i never knew you had a youtube channel. definately subscribing! love it.

  • unbelievable. I really really loved it. I guess i[m selling my 5DMKII and going out and getting me a 1DMKIV

How in the heck did you control the noise, by the way? was it the lenses or the ISO settings you mentioned?

Again, i have to say it. really beautiful video.

  • Great job just do this put just the fire clips together and at the end have a close-up of the beer bottle getting placed on the ground and then give it to them for a tv ad. Nice video. Great camera.

  • Wish we could do that in florida... :( everything is too dry

  • This is one of the most amazingly brilliant videos I've ever seen. It's actually better than some movies I've seen. I love film, I love this video, and I love this camera. good work man. Keep it up.

  • The song is called Fljótavík, by Sigur Rós

  • This is really wow! Great shooting ...

  • This's brilliant. I love it.

  • Very nice video, Canon is back, the new 1d4 will put nikon d3s in the dust in term of video quality.

  • this looks like a tv show

  • Great!

  • Really great video! You deserve way more views! Your up there with the pro's.

Just one point that the audio at the beginning is not cut very well with the laughs. When it hits the colour section though the film is breathtaking! Great edit to the song too!

  • Great video and the 7d too. long exposure in the video? as you do that?

  • Awesome.

    I nearly cried

    :)

  • Wow, the quality is so good on this. Great video!

  • That sounds like Sigur Ros on the soundtrack. Which song is that?

  • Thats quite amazing, stars look amazing. What a great camera.

  • wow.... what a nice video!!

  • I'm just writing another comment, in case you missed my 1st two--above all that I was interested in learning about your video, I am most-interested in knowing what song is playing in this video??? It is remarkable, as is all the work you put into this short. Thank you in advance!

  • Oh, and could you also please tell me what lenses you used, as well as time lapse eq? I am really interested in emulating some similar scenes once I get my 1D Mark IV, and would prefer to get them all at once. Thank you for sharing!

  • Great video again! I'm subscribed. Haha.

  • Nice footage, how do you like the 1D MK IV compared tot he 5D or 7D.

  • thanks a lot....we only have the 7d to compare it to, and it is definitely a big step up with the low light capabilities...and the photos are much better too.

  • Nice, hows the rolling shutter compared to the 7D?

  • really quality stuff here. can't wait to get mine!

  • Great cinematography! Really well done.
