hey i got this used and it acting really weird. After playing it for 10 minutes it will stop working and keep switching back to the preset sounds when i want to dial my own sound in. Has this happened with you? If it has please respond and tell me what i need to do

if you seek the lamb of god tone, you should try a guitar with the same pickups as the guitarist from the band... It really is the trick to find the Right Tone.

U need a 1/4 cable. go to radioshack or something and buy it. After u get the cable, u just plug ur ipod or whatever into the thing and it should work.
its better to have the other amp before getting this because you can find your tone on that amp and find it again on this one...why both?....simplicity at home and jamming out with line 6 and peavy for gigs...

i would i play alot of LoG and it works great, my settings metal red drive 10 bass 4 middle 2 treble 8 channel all the way and no reverb sounds pretty damn good i tuned it to Laid To Rest and it works great i would reconmend it 100% this amp is fucking amazing!!!

depends on the size of the venue.. but unless you're playing in places with a capacity of more than about 500, this is hell big enough.. and you can always mic it up if not.
well i cant do much with epiphones, i have played em and my price range.. well im 14 lol so my price range is really low, especially after buying the amp. though its to bad cuz i think even 30 watts wouldve been enough, even on 2 i do channel volume even before 12 o clock and even then my neighbours complaint lol.. but i found a nice richwood re-129 black les paul and it plays like heaven, i might save up for that, though my dream guitar is an jackson rr24 with yellow bevels.. unfortunatly cant

Well first off, when this demo was made I've only had it for a few days. I was just excited that I had it, with no knowledge of it whatsoever. So probably 70% of what I say is wrong, unless I said it right.
This amp vary's on sounds, depends which bands you listen to. There's a wide range of distortions on the amp, most of them not good. And you don't need the EXACT tone just to play a song, as long as it's a good sound.

Secondly,
this amp is good enough for jamming and somewhat gigs. If you have a good guitar and pickups, it could sound pretty good. But be sure to base your volume from the Master, not the second. As in, keep your second volume fairly low, and blast your master to whatever you want it at. That will keep the tone steady.
Don't waste that extra money on 30 watts more, it's not worth the extra money and the difference is almost zero. I own the 120 too and damn, if i put it over 2 (of the 11 or 12) I get scared damaging my house! All I'm saying is, that 30 extra watts is unnescessery for the price. And for the price of the 150 if you take the 120 instead, you can take a nice footswitch with it!

have a problem here.when my spider III is in the really heavy presets and amp models 2 problems rice: 1)every time i play and mute the strings with my right hand theres a little annoying buzz that last for about 1 second 2)all the palm mutes sound kind a weird after i play the palm mutted note becuase it lasts some time and well..i dunno if im explaining myself well

That's just the not-so-good noisegate (Noisegate is what helps get rid of feedback) in effect. The problem with that isn't the cable, speakers, or strings. It's the pickups. Bad pickups that are kind of muddy will have that problem.
For example:
You noticed that I have no feedback 6 seconds into the video, that's because my pickups are Dimebuckers on a $1000+ guitar. Yet on my Jackson DK2, with low end SD Humbuckers, it's not so great.

1) the tap delay time button is how long you want the delay to delay, how wavy you want chorus, etc. You could also tap it to the beat of whichever song you're playing, so the delay and other effects aren't off-time.
2) Insane, metal, and crunch are the amp models, and the two lights (Red and Green) are the diffent sounds for the amp model, same with the left side (cleans).

Hi, if i understand correctly, you want to get your mp3 player (ipod, etc.) to play through your amp, your going to have to buy a 1/8 to 1/8 male to male cable (u can buy this at bestbuy or someplace like bestbay for like $3-15 depending on quality [i reccomend just paying more for a real high quality cable, because it could serve better quality and will last longer if you use it for other uses too).
plug it in your mp3 (ipod, etc.) and the other end in the port where it says on your spider 3.
personally, for your success, I don't think you should get this. It's not that great, the crunch/metal/insane aren't the best. And there's basically only one sound for clean, the rest of the clean settings are just covered with effects.
To sum it all up, cleans are okay, distortions are not that great. Out of all of the settings/preset in the 6 month i've had this amp, I've only found one good setting for myself, which is a heavy riffing sound.

depends what u wanna play. mick from slipknot always used to use bc rich warlocks, and yes they look real cool, but he then wanted to switch to ibanez because he said he liked their guitars better. i think if maybe u switch the pickups on the warlock it'll sound good, but who knows.. just test out what u want before u buy it.

yo, im planning on getting the 150 combo version, and i as well lookf or a lamb of god and killswitch (mychannel), your saying none of the preset will give you anything close to that? and is it good for jamming with a friend or band practices? small gigs even, i mean im using a randall rx 75 now and ive used it for gigs and band practices, im sure this will be loud enough i just need to know if it will mud out at higher volumes,

Well first off, when this demo was made I've only had it for a few days. I was just excited that I had it, with no knowledge of it whatsoever. So probably 70% of what I say is wrong, unless I said it right.
This amp vary's on sounds, depends which bands you listen to. There's a wide range of distortions on the amp, most of them not good. And you don't need the EXACT tone just to play a song, as long as it's a good sound.

Secondly,
this amp is good enough for jamming and somewhat gigs. If you have a good guitar and pickups, it could sound pretty good. But be sure to base your volume from the Master, not the second. As in, keep your second volume fairly low, and blast your master to whatever you want it at. That will keep the tone steady.

Don't waste that extra money on 30 watts more, it's not worth the extra money and the difference is almost zero. I own the 120 too and damn, if i put it over 2 (of the 11 or 12) I get scared damaging my house! All I'm saying is, that 30 extra watts is unnescessery for the price. And for the price of the 150 if you take the 120 instead, you can take a nice footswitch with it!

have a problem here.when my spider III is in the really heavy presets and amp models 2 problems rice: 1)every time i play and mute the strings with my right hand theres a little annoying buzz that last for about 1 second 2)all the palm mutes sound kind a weird after i play the palm mutted note becuase it lasts some time and well..i dunno if im explaining myself well
so im thinking is possibly a problem of the guitar-amp cable...or is it my pickups?? or my strings?? the speakers???

I understand what you'e talking about.
That's just the not-so-good noisegate (Noisegate is what helps get rid of feedback) in effect. The problem with that isn't the cable, speakers, or strings. It's the pickups. Bad pickups that are kind of muddy will have that problem.
For example:
You noticed that I have no feedback 6 seconds into the video, that's because my pickups are Dimebuckers on a $1000+ guitar. Yet on my Jackson DK2, with low end SD Humbuckers, it's not so great.

1) the tap delay time button is how long you want the delay to delay, how wavy you want chorus, etc. You could also tap it to the beat of whichever song you're playing, so the delay and other effects aren't off-time.
2) Insane, metal, and crunch are the amp models, and the two lights (Red and Green) are the diffent sounds for the amp model, same with the left side (cleans).

Hi, if i understand correctly, you want to get your mp3 player (ipod, etc.) to play through your amp, your going to have to buy a 1/8 to 1/8 male to male cable (u can buy this at bestbuy or someplace like bestbay for like $3-15 depending on quality [i reccomend just paying more for a real high quality cable, because it could serve better quality and will last longer if you use it for other uses too).
plug it in your mp3 (ipod, etc.) and the other end in the port where it says on your spider 3.

Hmm,
personally, for your success, I don't think you should get this. It's not that great, the crunch/metal/insane aren't the best. And there's basically only one sound for clean, the rest of the clean settings are just covered with effects.
To sum it all up, cleans are okay, distortions are not that great. Out of all of the settings/preset in the 6 month i've had this amp, I've only found one good setting for myself, which is a heavy riffing sound.

depends what u wanna play. mick from slipknot always used to use bc rich warlocks, and yes they look real cool, but he then wanted to switch to ibanez because he said he liked their guitars better. i think if maybe u switch the pickups on the warlock it'll sound good, but who knows.. just test out what u want before u buy it.
