  • You wield your blade like a rapier strange...

  • I can imagine what the neighbors must think.

  • You are so NINJA! :)

  • I'd love to see a Roman get one of these stuck up his gut. :)

I should get one of these as a combo with my battleaxe.

  • hey im a sword collector is there a place i can buy a quality piece like what you have? im sure ill pay plenty for it right?

  • @thomas242007 The sword was purchased through Kris Cutlery, it been a long time but I believe it was around $200 or $250

  • @mdbguitar cool thanks ive looked and thats about right for this type of sword

  • @thomas242007 @thomas242007

Hey, just watched this vid, if your looking for functional celtic swords then heres a link, just bought the "Henwei" one from this site, its UK so if your in the US, sorry.

    medieval-weaponry DOT co.uk/acatalog/celtic-sword.html

  • is yours sharpened?

  • @samerjam101 Yes, it comes from Kris Cutlery pretty sharp but I touched up the edge. Good steel and correct angle are everything.

  • Those last cuts were bad ass.

  • @deltatrevor Thanks

  • Knowing what this blade is made of would be helpful. Modern steel is of course greatly superior to the bronze and iron blades that a 'celtic' sword would have been fabricated from. A 'celtic' bronze sword would lose its cutting edge very quickly because the material is so soft.

  • @varangian1081 Carbon Steel from Kris Cutlery. Great Sword for the money. I have several others but this is probably my favorite.

  • @varangian1081 Celtic swords in the Roman period were pattern forged from iron and mild steel, layers hammered together, twisted into spirals, flattened, then woven together, with an iron edge added. It's worth noting that their swords tended to be at or above the quality of their neighbors. Celts weren't city builders but they were damn good metallurgists. It was from Celts in Iberia that the Romans copied their Gladius and Pilum. Credit where it's due.

  • could it cut through bone >?

  • Not sure, but I have seen guys cut thru some pretty strong stuff, wood, tires, etc. Not sure it would cut as much as maybe break.

  • how boring was that? we got the point after the first 5 bottles!

  • Guess you have to be into swords to get it. What I don't get is why you watched it?

  • Hi Mark, good cuts. I just watched this video shortly after seeing Ric's video of you guys cutting together recently. it was very interesting to see the diferences in your form from this one to the more recent one. very cool comparison. hope to see you around some more.

  • LOOK OUT FOR THAT WATER BOTTLE, its GUNNA GET YOU! AAHHHHH!!!

  • i dont know if your being sarcastic but if you are not.

you ar e a dumb ass.

    lol

all swords even a 10 dollaw one can cut plastic

a medieval sword i just bought can cut through steel cans.

lol i really hope your being sarcastic

  • of course i was...

i'm pissed off by all the people who think only a katana is a sharp weapon

  • aaah ok

people think the katana is the best because it is widely used in tv shows and in movies and such.

    expecially anema

the katana is a very good sword but its uses and purposes are difrent then other swords.

every sword has a purpose, its how you use it that counts.

everyone knows about a katana because tv shows are japanese lol you dont normally see a mideval sword and when you do its over exagerated and not functional.

    like i said anema

  • Teutonic swords are nice..

  • @moep Heh, I bet they'd think different on the receiving end of one of those. XD

  • Real pro at wasting water.

  • I think a rapier would suit you best seeing the way you're holding the sword and all.

  • poor gatorade bottle didnt stand a chance....

  • awesome reverse cuts :D

  • Thanks Swords are great!!!!

  • wow that was cool i wish i had a sword ;;

  • scared you will cut your hand huh hehe

  • That I called sharp

  • My, that looks... AWESOME!

I've been pondering whether i should purchase a Celtic sword also, they're very nice.

I'm new to swords and have only recently seriously considered buying one.

  • The Celtic is one of my favorite swords. If you are just getting into swords, you won't go wronge with that one. For the price it is one of the best cutters I have. If you can't cut with this Celtic, you can't cut. Small, sharp, and cuts with very little effort.

  • Thanks for the advice :)

  • Take a look on the sword-buyers-guide website, you can found some videos and a forum. Your cutting technique look good.

  • I'm a member on SBG also, I go by mdbruce, Thanks

  • I found the celtic sword on SBG for 160 something (with the discount) and i found the same sword on another site for 129$...

  • Hi MDB, is that sword the Kris Cutlery celic sword ?

  • Hi MDB, this sword the kris cutlery celtic, isn't it ?

    What a great weapon...

  • Do you have any videos U Tube , I love to watch other people cut, helps me with my own cutting.
